This is so much to take in. They should add these to the notes in the book, instead of that vague flavor text that is misleading at times. It would still be difficult for average players to distinguish.

There is an ambient noise in BOTH clips that sounds like a double tapping, which is much louder, but in both clips, the actual double door touch is *before* that ambient noise.
Earned as Sub and a like between you and Insym your guides are just so much better, you took the time to get every ghost to pop up to show instead of just doing it in a stream and just explaining something without showing it
Just a small thing about the Banshee, the Banshee CAN roam to you on a different floor, but ONLY if it is in an attic or a basement. Otherwise it cannot. Pretty unknown but was recently confirmed by the devs :)
One minor correction for the Onryo: It has a guaranteed hunt within 6 seconds after the 3rd candle blow-out, afterwards a 50% chance per blow-out. I really don't know why people disregard this so much as a test, particularly in Ascension (where candles never go out by themselves anymore) this has become really easy to do and pretty reliable. Usually one of the first things I set up when doing no evidence, now that you don't need to sit there listening or with an EMF under the candle to make sure it actually was the ghost. Go in, set up the candle, bring more stuff, come back, light it again, bring more stuff, relight (make sure to put down a cruci before the 3rd blow-out), after the 3rd just don't relight and wait a few seconds. Generally speaking it's pretty obvious, also based on the fact that you'll likely still have high sanity, ruling out most other ghosts, and you can always keep relighting and see if it hunts more often upon blow-outs. Another possible test btw is having 2 candles (also counting lighters) on and seeing if it ever does a double blow-out - a candle gets blown out if it prevents a hunt, so if the first one triggers a hunt and the second suppresses it they'll both go out in very quick succession.
As far as I know, all incense ranges neutralize ghosts for 5 seconds, and even if you smuge a ghost with incense tier 2 or 3, it will be 5 seconds, respectively, for Moroi 7.5 seconds. Correct me if I'm wrong, but I met Moroi many times on difficulty without evidence and often figured out him with 7.5 seconds of neutralization, while I used tier 2 incense. I will assume that the values in seconds that are written in the store indicate how long the incense burns, but as soon as the ghost gets into the radius of the incense, a 5 second timer will start.
By the way, I even found confirmation of my words in your video. If you watch the clip from 9:43 to 9:48, you will notice that the ghost freezes for exactly 5 seconds, not 7 seconds, I think the developers should have explained better how the new incense works so that people would not be confused, because from my experience many professional players are mistaken on this issue.
Finally, someone has answered my question of do mimics step in salt if they mimic a wraith! I have waited so long and asked so many for that meaningless information. The smartest mimic I have seen started as obake and stayed normal speed until the hunt before we left (they left). I wasn't ready for a Deogen. My mouth stayed open for the longest time. I used to hate banshees, but that mimic takes the cake. Your last guide has helped me with starting back into the game. I knew I had to watch this video. It was worth the wait.
To add one thing about the Shade ghost event on Summoning Circle: It was a bug that the devs fixed. I had a few matches where the ghost did exactly that, selected Shade and went back to the lobby and it was a random ghost like Raiju or something. What I have noticed however, is that I never got an Oni to do that. Maybe if you see the shadow ghost event, just roll out oni? I don't take the shadow ghost event as "it's a shade" anymore, but I do think about crossing off Onis since they like you be in your face 24/7.

A few well-known songs at that pace include: 'Respect' by Aretha Franklin; 'Proud Mary' by Creedence Clearwater Revival (CCR); 'American Girl' by Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers; 'Island in the Sun' by Weezer; 'Banana Pancakes' by Jack Johnson; 'The Way I Are' by Justin Timberlake; and my two personal favorites - 'Sunshine of Your Love' by Cream, and 'Uptown Funk' by Mark Ronson feat. Bruno Mars. 'The Rhythm of the Night' by Corona is 128 bpm, or 1.87 m/s - the exact speed of the fast twin. 'Dancing Queen' by ABBA is the exact speed of the slow twin (101 bpm or 1.53 m/s).
"Staying Alive" by the Bee Gees is also the same BPM as the slow twin, and another song for normal ghost speed that I personally like is Centerfold by The J. Geils Band, which is only 1 BPM off

I just started playing and have been having fun! I had a demon try hunting me at 98% sanity. Fortunately, I had just unlocked the crucifix and brought one as a just in case and placed it for funsies. It was immediately used, and I nope'd right out of there, didn't even get to investigate.
39:06 I want you to note that Obakes will always change their ghost model at least once per hunt, so if you've seen the ghost all the way through a hunt and it didn't shapeshift, it can't be an Obake.

I recently watched Insym's video where he shows exactly the one-hunt no evidence strategy on camp woodwind you outlined some months ago, and kept cringing at how he kept referencing this being then thing "some speed runner" was doing without actually crediting you or your channel. He must be smart enough to know your tutorials are much better than his.
Can't thank you enough for this video, please never change with your pace of speech as I can't tell you how much that's a instant turn off and wanna switch videos if someone is talking too fast when I'm trying to learn something. So please, don't lose your calm relaxed speed of speech. Beyond that part of it, this is improving my experience with Phasmophoia SOOO much. I've been messing around in solo games testing these things out and I'm finding I'm getting the evidence quicker, safer and no sitting scratching my head. I am a newbie and this is helping me understand ghosts a lot more now. I was actually able to run in and get the ghost straight away and my friends didn't listen, when the round was over they were so confused lol.
Adding to all that is shown in this excellent (per usual xD) and very welcome update: if you suspect a "stalker" ghost, you can test with EMF reader, motion sensor and salt. Always try of course to obtain the proofs (scream, photo etc), but this can help to narrow it down even if you don't have the opportunity to do so, or the ghost is reluctant to cooperate xD Set up in a room with a good hiding spot, far from the ghost room (on the same floor if Banshee is an option), door closed. Put the EMF reader on the floor close to you, spill some salt in the doorway, put the sensor on the door frame. You can also have a picture camera ready, in case there will be an event, and smudge + lighter for safety. If playing with low grace period, take a crucifix too if you are close to, or below, hunting threshold - Wraith teleports, will NOT activate the motion sensor coming in, gives an EMF 2 (or 5, if playing with evidence), does NOT disturb salt and will activate the sensor on its way out. - Phantom walks, activates the sensor coming in, leaves an EMF 2, steps in salt and activates the sensor again on its way out. - Banshee walks, activates sensor coming in, steps in salt, does NOT leave EMF 2, and activates sensor again on its way out. Banshee and Phantom also mess with your sanity. Looking at the manifested Phantom during an event, or if it sees you during a hunt, will drain your sanity faster (0.5%/sec). Walking up to a Banshee during a ghost event, close enough to make it disappear, will drain 15% sanity instead of the normal 10%. I hope this makes sense and is helpful to someone :)

Sometimes Goryo walks for a long time in the next room, which is why the temperature in it becomes low. When playing without a mirror, it can be assumed that the ghost has changed his favorite room, since the temperature in it can drop even to + 1 degree, but this will be an erroneous verdict. Recently, when I came across Goryo, I often saw it and now I am much more careful about changing rooms. Checking the statistics, I really made sure that the ghost did not change the room. You have to watch more carefully how far the ghost changes the room and where most of the interactions take place. I think if you got Goryo when playing without evidence, then it will be the most difficult ghost. Although it also happens that Yurei does not do his ability for an hour... An ability that still needs to be noticed, because a ghost can use it even if no one is around ;(
Im not completely sure, but I think, if an Oni event hits you, you lose 20% sanity instead of 10%. Not to mention its super active. I got my sanity destroyed in the first minute a week ago. (don't mix up with the turbo shades xD)
17:33 omg that is terrifying-- i am SO glad i havent experienced that in game. 19:13 ive had shades before that are really active, like before my sanity even hits 60% range. so much so, that i thought it was a demon and i wasnt able to tell if it was a shade or a demon cause i wasnt getting emf 5 or uv. 25:00 wow, yokai's are really stupid- 34:58 when looking at the activity board for twinteractions, make sure you see it multiple times, cause ive had a activity board "twinteraction" on a non-twins ghost before. a head canon i came up with for the twins while watching this: the reason the twins take so long to hunt (50%), is cause they are arguing about which one should hunt first. lol
I absolutely love poltergeist the most. its like the easiest ghost to figure out. I also get a lot of interaction photos. Its pretty obvious if kitchen is at another end of house and it launches a cup into you going out of front door.
49:06 Buuut isn't Revenant the most extreme case of Line of Sight ghost - when he doesn't see you, he's super slow, when he knows where you are, he's super fast. Or is it more because it's not a gradual speed up. I got a little confused there :D
"Hypothetical a demon can hunt you when you walk inside" Ive had this happen at least 2 times before, literary 1 or 2 steps inside it starts hunting. I died but my friend was still in the truck so we didnt fail. The sanity pills for moroi is really good, i usually just check for super fast speeds during hunts at zero sanity

I’ve had a demon immediately hunt me after only being in the house for a minute. I had just started the game and was turning on the lights after turning on the breaker, and then the lights started flickering and here it comes down the hallway and it killed me. Was not ready for that at all. 😅

ive had a demon activate the crux outside by the truck before, so be careful when using it on a demon. as you know demons absolutely hate crux and will use it as soon as possible
The mimic is so funny. 20 minutes after a 10x reward match, no evidences, I was between two or three ghost types.. I was the only one alive and got the mare ability, turning off the switch as soon as turned on. It was a mimic and I lost the match lmao
Awesome video. However I'm pretty sure a Jin will still give you EMF at the breaker even when the breaker is off, iv seen this a few times on the Camp Woodwind x12.97 speedrun and have successfully identified Jins this way.
deogens also when they give dots evidence can move really slow while in dots form, not sure if this is 100% accurate but ive noticed whenever i got a deo it moved really slow through the dots.
I haven't played Phas since the wipe so I just got back into the game so i'm having to re learn the game since alot has changed I went from playing on Insanity to Professional lol Trying to get myself back up to speed.
45:44 Isn't the Smudge timer ONLY affect how much time the smugde will burn? I believe it'll burn for 5s/6s/7s but the ghost (except moroi where it'll be 7.5s) will only be blinded for 5s
Sanity has to be under 30% for a shade to hunt not 35% ^^. But shades are the most broken ghosts in my opinion. Some of them spam events on you, ignore that you are in the room, but sillt hunts and much more
I agree, I more likely tripping at poltergeist after update, look like every ghost ability are similar to poltergeist 😢 Also I hate jinn, shade(sometimes they're so active) and onryo
The twins activity board tell is currently not 100% accurate. I cant remember the soecific ghost that also had the same chart anomalies but its either a situation of that ability being currently glutched, or another ghost being able to do that now.
For some reason Banshee gives me Tom's vibes from Tom and Jerry. Also, thanks for your flash light advise. I always used to think why those fhost alway know where I hide.

When playing without a mirror, it can be assumed that the ghost has changed his favorite room, since the temperature in it can drop even to + 1 degree, but this will be an erroneous verdict. Im not completely sure, but I think, if an Oni event hits you, you lose 20% sanity instead of 10%. Not to mention its super active. I got my sanity destroyed in the first minute a week ago. (don't mix up with the turbo shades xD)

a head canon i came up with for the twins while watching this: the reason the twins take so long to hunt (50%), is cause they are arguing about which one should hunt first. lol
I absolutely love poltergeist the most. its like the easiest ghost to figure out. I also get a lot of interaction photos. Its pretty obvious if kitchen is at another end of house and it launches a cup into you going out of front door.

49:06 Buuut isn't Revenant the most extreme case of Line of Sight ghost - when he doesn't see you, he's super slow, when he knows where you are, he's super fast. Or is it more because it's not a gradual speed up. I got a little confused there :D

Ive had this happen at least 2 times before, literary 1 or 2 steps inside it starts hunting. I died but my friend was still in the truck so we didnt fail.
The sanity pills for moroi is really good, i usually just check for super fast speeds during hunts at zero sanity

I’ve had a demon immediately hunt me after only being in the house for a minute. I had just started the game and was turning on the lights after turning on the breaker, and then the lights started flickering and here it comes down the hallway and it killed me. Was not ready for that at all. 😅

ive had a demon activate the crux outside by the truck before, so be careful when using it on a demon. as you know demons absolutely hate crux and will use it as soon as possible
The mimic is so funny. 20 minutes after a 10x reward match, no evidences, I was between two or three ghost types.. I was the only one alive and got the mare ability, turning off the switch as soon as turned on. It was a mimic and I lost the match lmao

When you are talking about the banshee how did you split the motion sensor beam? Or did you place 2 sensors?
With the tier 2 motion sensor, you can click on it to change how many beams are there. You can also turn it off by clicking on it :)
deogens also when they give dots evidence can move really slow while in dots form, not sure if this is 100% accurate but ive noticed whenever i got a deo it moved really slow through the dots.

Being a percussionist makes speed change ghosts somewhat easier for me, but normal speed ghosts harder
so, if someone being locked by a phantom, he can't hide from it?
Sanity has to be under 30% for a shade to hunt not 35% ^^. But shades are the most broken ghosts in my opinion. Some of them spam events on you, ignore that you are in the room, but sillt hunts and much more

The twins activity board tell is currently not 100% accurate. I cant remember the soecific ghost that also had the same chart anomalies but its either a situation of that ability being currently glutched, or another ghost being able to do that now.
