Nice flathead action. Did you know that At 18:50ish, see the bars moving top to bottom on your phone? It’s taking a picture in both directions every time that bar crosses your screen. Now ya do. Just watch you phone through an infrared lens if you really wanna freak out.

@@KayakCatfish I had luck, but the wrong kind. I caught your favorite fish X 3 Channel Catfish(😂) & a Drum. At least the biggest Catfish was 26" on a green Sunfish.
@@KayakCatfish Last night was the 1st time I caught 2 Flatheads. It was in the 40's last night with heavy winds. My buddy got there just in time to climb down & net it. He didn't have a rod in the water. Both times I had the rod sideways in my hand & reeled down on them. No big takedowns. He asked me to switch spots & he only caught a channel catfish. Lol. Live bluegills.
You know what that’s absolutely amazing an shows how stealthy of a hunter that fish really is ( I never cought 1 or had the chance to fish for 1) but it’s just absolutely fascinating you been on an flathead tear boy o boy

I got a really big flathead on the fly last year that was probably my biggest so far.
You messed up showing the bridge. Catfish Dave will be making a video from there in a few days now. He’ll say he was looking on Google maps and came across that spot just like he did to Chatt Cat.

Braided line is fine. Just comes down to your personal preference

You can use whatever hook you want for the fly
Can I buy them made up like from catfish sumo?
No, Catfish Sumo sells flies with J hooks. I don’t know of any companies that sell flies with circle hooks. I don’t think it would be an item that would sell very well.
Well keep the videos coming I watch them all. My goal is to try Toledo bend for a big flathead one day.

Justin how heavy are your sinkers that you use when dragging? I have been doing like you have lately with a Rod suspended with 2 dragging. All my hits have been on suspended Rod. Wondering if my weight is not heavy enough.
