When you start to go? you started walking from Pico do Areeiro then turn left (VO) side and after go to the Pico Ruivo and later you go back on the other side (VE) to Pico do Areeiro?
Hi! We chose to leave in the afternoon to make it back for sunset, we left about 2:30pm to try to avoid the crowds. It depends how you want to do it, but aim to start around sunrise if you want to do it in the morning (you'll need to check online when the sun rises depending on the time of year). We did VO both ways, as we didn't realise there were 2 ways to go, but looking back we would have done VE as well to get some different scenery. But VO is beautiful both ways so it's completely up to you! Let us know if you have any more questions :)

@@parsteigums It was completely free, we didn't need to pay for parking either if you park a bit lower on the mountain.
