I did not know they needed direct sunlight to grow well, or that you could put them too deep! Your video has vary good information!

I am glad to know that I could help and thank you so much for your feedback, really appreciated! >> or that you could put them too deep => Exactly, in my place many nursery people does that as they are quite hardy. But, it's better not to plant them too deep.

@Wilfred Dias, Glad you liked it and thank you so much for your feedback, highly appreciated :-) I am not sure about the Max summer temp in your place and so giving an example here. In Summer, the average temp in my place is around 32-40 °C (90-104 °F) and I don't find any issue, even after providing sunlight for the whole day. But Humidity in my place is quite high. The average annual relative humidity is 76.6% and in Summer, it goes above 85-90% sometimes. I hope this info would help you to decide the best thing for your plant. Wish you all the best :-)

wow, great info. most videos just sort of ignore this plant and say "meh, put it anywhere and don't over water". Because of my ignorance, last summer I put my big one on my porch that gets like 8 hours of bright direct sun and the plant started burning. It took me a long time to accept that fact and take it back in. Now I understand why. This summer, I'll put it back by the house where it won't get so much direct sun.

I was recently given a snake plant as a gift and after reading up on how to care for it I have just removed it from its place in front of my window (I live in Ireland so it has to be kept indoors here) because the article stated they don't like direct sunlight. Indirect light only. Does this mean it is OK to put it back in front of my bedroom window again where, during most of the year and weather permitting, it will receive a good 6 or more hours of direct sunlight (window is south facing and gets the sun from fairly early in the morning to mid-late afternoon, especially from late spring to early Autumn. Would appreciate knowing so I can move it back if needed. Thank you for another great video.

@Karen Blackburn, Thank you for watching this video and for your feedback. Honestly saying, many articles which are available online are sourced from "Article Writers". They actually don't have real gardening knowledge. So, what they do is, simply look at the first 10 websites on Google and then prepare the articles. I know all these things as I run few websites myself.
That's why, I decided to start this Channel. Plus, in 99% of my videos I show updates so that my viewers can copy me easily and get even better results. For your info, right now in my place it's around 32-33 degree Celsius and my plants are under direct sunlight. No issue and in fact, they have produced lots of new Pups. Snake plant is really hardy and since they can tolerate low level light, like indoor, they are Marketed hugely as an Indoor plant. Here in my place, I can often find them in many neglected places..like in dividers.
So, definitely it is OK to put it back in front of your bedroom window again and it would grow much faster. Please note - you might have water more frequently (comparing to keeping it in indoor) as it would get direct Sunlight. Plus, please gradually increase the sunlight exposure..For example, 1/2 hour for the first day, 1 hour for the 2nd day and so on.
If you have any questions, please let me know and I would be glad to assist you, Thank you :-)

Thank you! My snake plants were doing great. I thought I should repot them into larger pots to give them room. They also did not get much direct sunlight. I don't think it's too late to put them back intro smaller pots and get them a bit more sunlight. I didn't know that they bloom, either. First things first though, I will focus on getting them healthy again. If a flower surprises me after some time that will be a bonus. I am thinking of trying a grow light for these as well as for some of my other succulents. My son's pets have taken over the sunny window I kept my plants in :/

But i ask ai he say snake plant not supposed to put on direct sun because the leaves very sensitive to a sun and easy become yellow. He told me to indirect the sun. So which is true brother, im confuse tu put the snake plant to a direct sun or indirectly. And if it can put directly to the sun, what is the limit of hour for the plant?
