So much wonderful talent! Thank you so much for sharing K3n! I was especially moved by the works about foster kids as I work with foster kids here in the states and saw many sad similarities...beautiful and moving pieces. Co-Chair, of the group. All that inspiration in one place, just loved it. Thank you again. G xx
Apologies I used the Scottish spelling of Katherine rather than Kathryn!!! I should have known better!!! G xx
Thank you, it's a wonderful, supportive group and no worries about the spelling ☺️

Love seeing your work, especially! Thank you so much for sharing this us!
I did gallery work a few years ago. This inspires me to go back, maybe in another year or so. Powerful work. My favorite is the natural dyes. I didn’t think about dying the thread too. Marvelous. Thank you. Love all the work. Yours always inspires me - your lovely heartfelt work. ❤
Wonderful. Thank you so much for sharing this with us. Enjoy your UK visit ❤
Thank you for sharing this amazing art with us ❤❤❤
All are very nice , Thank you for shearing .❤❤❤
I went to the exhibition last Sunday and absolutely loved it. It was so inspirational. It was also a real honour to be able to look slowly through your forager’s journal - what an incredible amount of work you put into it. All your pieces were absolutely beautiful (and everyone else’s too!). I bought one of Silvia’s little slow stitch bundles as I was on my way to Cornwall for a month in my camper van. It’ll be something to do in the evenings and when it rains and will make a nice memory of my trip. Thank you for the exhibition tour - it made me want to go and see it all over again!
Thank you Lynne, enjoy stitching on Sylvia's lovely bundle ❤️
Wow - absolutely beautiful work by everyone! The stitched buried cloth displayed in perspex is very special; also the minimalist painted and sewn framed papers at the beginning. And I love your journal - so deliciously textural and a bit wild. Congratulations to everyone 😊😊
Thank you Rita ❤️
So glad you could take us with you for a bit. What a variety of marvelous work. All by women I assume, but maybe not. Very artistic women in that group. Your pocket dress is so inspired, genius really.
Thank you, yes we are all women. ❤️
What amazing art, thanks for sharing with us all. I love all the different art projects. It is glorious to see all the different aspects of stitching that can be made. I love all the colors and textures of it all. I really love how your penny turned out with all the different fabrics and stitches, pockets. All your bags looked so good together. It would have been great to see all of your exhibit. It was a pleasure to share your journey with you, your video was awesome. I hope you had a wonderful Mother's Day too. Happy stitching.
Thank you Michelle ❤️
This was such a treat! Thank you so much for sharing.
So many talented artists ❤
Thank you such beautiful work
Beautiful exhibition Kathryn, enjoy!! 🍀💝
Thank you for sharing 😊
Happy Mother’s Day! From California. Thank you for sharing such treasures. I love the pinny shirt for pinafore, I’m guessing. Apron, mandil, delantal in Spanish.
Yes! Thank you!❤️
What a fabulous exhibition, some very talented artists, including yourself of course. Only wished I could have visited
Awesome. After 20 years in the UK, I came home to NZ and I truly miss this sort of thing. So happy to have seen BIG rice bags…. I am making one that is 12 inches square and I thought I might have gone down the wrong garden path as it is soooo big and soooo floppy 😬😬 There’s hope for it yet!
What an amazing exhibition! I get so frustrated sometimes at how dismissive some people are about textile art particularly when there is such a diverse range of techniques and ideas. Wonderful, wonderful work and well done to all of your group 😊
Thank you ♥️
Wonderful exhibition! Very enthralled by the apron. Your work is so beautiful ❤️
Thank you so much!❤️
Thank you so much for sharing K3n ! All the artists and pieces are so inspirational... such a beautiful exhibition (I felt a bit like if I was there 🤎🙏🏽! Have a wonderful time !
I really enjoyed this tour of the exhibition - I loved all the pieces so much! A whole new world is opening up to me through your channel k3n❤ your apron is incredible - blown away - similarly the pieces on "looked after" children. I feel like a kindergarten girl awestruck by the creations of the post-grads!!!! Your commentary was excellent too. ❤ Big love from Scotland as always 😊
Thank you Margaret ❤️
Thank you for sharing, I would have loved to see it but it’s to far for me.I find the work all very impressive , really loved the scroll from Wendy and her beautiful painted threads. Also like the things from nature in the felted wool. It is so inspiring. So glad to see your apron, it’s beautiful . ❤ Tineke
Thank you Tineke ❤️
Incredible work wow
So fun to see this! Wish I could have gone in person but this was the next best thing!
Amazing exhibit! Thank you for letting us in and with special narration too.
Evidently, so many hours has been put into each piece, either in stitching or time dedicated to obtain such beautiful work of art.
Wow! Your forager’s apron is beautiful! My brain seems to nudge me in making one with plenty of pockets too, would be so useful in the garden! Great idea, Kathryn❤. And yes, so sweet to see your bag and the woodland book. It’s like seeing one’s friends🥰 since we saw you making them😊.
Thank you again Kathryn! Safe flight home.
Warm regards,
🌸Tess
Thank you Tess, so pleased you enjoyed it 😊
Wow Kathryn. I just discovered you last night and I am so excited to find you❣️Your slow stitching caught my eye. Now this video and I am in awe. You are such a gracious lady and Love Love your work and all the artwork in this video. I’m in the United States and so wish I could see it all in person. But thanks for sharing I am so impressed with it and all that it represents. Amazing. I can’t wait to check out your journal. I’m looking forward to following you. You Blessed my day❣️🪡🧵❤️
Thank you so much, I am so happy you found me, welcome 🤗
Wonderful work :)
Oooh - so much inspiration and talent in one place!
I love the idea of manipulating an image with straight lines into a swirl and stitching on it.
The giant scroll with threads dyed the same colour as the cloth - beautiful.
The unearthed cloth in perspex looked like the dead sea scrolls.
And the exquisite stitching on The Road to Mandalay...with that title too ❤
Your pinny is gorgeous - pocket heaven! Could you show us how to draft that? Your forager's journal is a star exhibit - beautiful!
Kathryn, thank you so much for showing us the fabulous exhibition and it's a great treat to have an extra, unexpected video.
Mary x ❤
Hello Mary so pleased you enjoyed it, yes I will show you how I made the apron, when I get home. 😁❤️
Thank you for the wonderful tour. I am so enamored of the fact that it's OK to touch the textiles. Was that one of the characteristics of the show? I would really enjoy going to a show where you can touch and turn the pieces!
Hello, so pleased you enjoyed it. Some of our artists allow and even encourage touching and others prefer not, it depends on the work. 😁 As a steward and exhibiting artist, I was allowed to touch everything. 😂❤️
Thanks for sharing, I love seeing the pieces and those you're teaching us to work too. One suggestion for filming w/o special equipment (there are gizmos that help the shaking, but yes, they are spendy), hold the camera as close to your chest as possible. The closer your hands are to your body, even rest on your bra's cris-cross section(!), the less shaky your filming will be. You won't be able to see through the back of the camera, but you can usually gage where the camera is pointing anyway. I know you're learning, as are we all, and I love what you're doing, please don't take this as "critical." Much love to you.
Does your friend Chrissy have a channel to watch a how to on the big rice bags?
Hello, no she doesn't I am afraid but the basic construction is exactly the same as in my video, only bigger 😁❤️
@@k3n.clothtales Thanks so much! Your exhibition was just gorgeous, such a talented group.
Thank you 😊
Oh I am so sorry I made a spelling error in your name. Apologies.
Thank you for walking us round and for telling us more about each of the pieces. It was so enjoyable - and to see details close up was great. What talented creative women. 🪡🧵
