    Thank you Jack, glad you love the MAX2! I want to add that all Monolith grinders are designed and made by me and my team in my shop. We make all the parts from design, programming to CNC machining. Burrs are also designed and made in my shop. All from scratch. If you are ever in Seattle area, I'd love to show my shop and how we make these grinders.

      Hey KafeTek, for future iterations of Flat Max, would it be possible to put a small display to show the micron levels? Something akin to the new Omnia. Think with such an upgrade, it can provide more consistency in brewing. 🙂

    I Recentky purchased the DF83V and sold my Key Grinder., very happy with the DF83V. Love to ability to switch between Espresso and Drip and back so eaisly. The DF83V has plenty of body in the Espresso shots and more flavor notes than a conical grinder. Amazing value for the money.

    Interesting comparison, I think it would be interesting to throw a zerno into the mix as it is slightly more than the DF83V and a lot less than the Flat Max 2

      You deserve more credit and respect in the coffee community. I anticipate Zerno will send their product to several reviewers who are widely known for bias review. Keep your integrity mate. Im playing with the cheap df54 at $230. Typical DF problems and annoyances but suprising good body and clarity. Bought myself and if hated send it back 😅😅 @@mycoffeeshow111

    Brian Quan seemed to think there was a big difference between df83v and lagom option-o 01 with the 102mm mizen.

    • @mycoffeeshow111
      @mycoffeeshow111  5 หลายเดือนก่อน

      I like and respect Brian a lot. I haven’t tried Option O so can’t comment. I guess it all depends on personal preferences, coffee and profile you choose. In my previous test, and I done many, Kafatek was often a clear winner. But I haven’t done them blind and once you do, you might be surprised.

    Why'd you go with SSW vs the more common SLM?

    • @mycoffeeshow111
      @mycoffeeshow111  5 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      I would probably go for LM if choosing again. I was under the impression that SW are better for 1:3 ratio and that is what I often drink. In reality, they work nicely for lower ratios as well, but are taking away some sharpness. Because of that, I sold my MC5 as they were a bit too similar.

    I mean we can say there are no losers sure, but considering the difference between the price being almost 4x yet the shot quality difference being so tiny, Kafatek might be a bit on the losing end here unfortunately.

    • @mycoffeeshow111
      @mycoffeeshow111  5 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      It depends on how you look at that. As I said, with Kafatek you pay extra for their attention to details and quality and longevity of their components. At this stage, especially with SSP burrs, the difference in a taste won’t be proportional to the difference in the price. For me the biggest surprise was pour over where I was expecting DF83 to actually win.
