They understand, they just don't expect to be towed. And in a lot of towns, the no parking signs are just suggestions. Not in Gatlinburg!

My favorite excuse is when they say "we're from out of town" or we're not from here when they're parked right in front of the 'No Parking' sign or 'Parking for Employees Only sign. Do those signs mean something else in other towns? They're looking for free parking that ends up costing them ten times what a legal spot would have cost. When something seems too good to be true, it usually comes back to bite you in the ass.

Jeff…. as a Canadian, I have to tell you that you say “I’m sorry” almost as much as we do!😁🤣 It shows how kind and honest you are for sure, but I believe you don’t need to be saying it as much. It’s NOT your fault they can’t read, lol, you don’t need to say sorry for their inability to comprehend simple english. So we will adopt you as an honorary Canadian because you say I’m sorry, but we also give you permission to say it less sometimes. People don’t appreciate it all the time. 🤠👍🏼☮️

Right?! I can't tell you how many times I've been disappointed because a sign says I can't park in a particular place. It's inconvenient to me at the moment ... but so far I've never been towed. Signs are there for a reason.
If you HATE paying to park, then don't go to tourist towns.

i can only assume that people who park illigaly must think that each parking spot needs its own sign and that 1 sign doesnt apply to the whole parking lot

My 3 boys and I have heard the impound address so often it's our running joke.
When we are going somewhere
I ask them where if they know the address and they all say "221 Newman road!"

There are a ton of spots. Doesn't matter it's someone else's property sorry. Just like random people can't park on your property same respect. Look around for signs that say YOU CAN PARK THERE. That way you are safe. Or ask the lady that always gives ppl permission 😂

I'm amazed at the ease in which folks don't tell the truth nowadays. I'm also equally amazed that folks leave parked cars unlocked. No wonder we pay the insurance rates we do these days. It was good the folks in the video didn't give you two a hard time though. Drivers need to keep speed down and phones down when drivng Glades Road (or craft circle as my wife likes to call it). These past few years I have seen and experienced drivers going way too fast on the curvy road and sorry to say most are locals. Keep 'em coming gang. "We appreciate ya!"

the guy on the phone (the owner , brother-in-law borrowed) car.......He is a PEOPLE PERSON! He remembered Jeff's name from the beginning of the phone call and then called him by name at the end!!! That guy is in management/sales for sure!

I think the issue is there aren’t enough Ubers/Lyfts available right away and people are already mad and impatient.
Because they can't even read signs. These are not the sharpest knives in the drawer.

8:58 Wait…. HOW are those garbage bins emptied⁉️ Garbage trucks (usually) have front facing forks to grab those and dump them…. how on earth do they access these? 😂 That has to be one of the most difficult, & disgustingly dirty, parking lots anywhere, I feel for you two having to go in that space all the time.
Someone also needs to tell Five Guys that they NEED to do some cleanup there, that whole back side of their restaurant looks disgusting, porta-potty and all. Do a good cleanup (ask the city of New Orleans for some tips on how to do it with bleach! Lol). Then, since they’re so popular on TH-cam, paint that back wall all red & white with their logo on it. Some good online/TH-cam advertising… plus a MUCH more appealing look. I’d bet I’m not alone in saying I would never eat at Five Guys in Gatlinburg because of how gross that back lot looks (not to mention the Karen’s who drop drawers and pee in the middle of the restaurant 😜🤪), and I like Five Guys … but think about it, ALL the food that enters that place comes through there 🤮🤢! Come on Five Guys, you’re a huge well known chain now, you gotta clean up that look, time to have a chat with your franchisee.

Good job there guys I'll have to say Jeff I have been in Gatlinburg and pigeon forge area most of my life over the years there have been times when there wasn't enough room for a flea to park it can be very bad at times but for the most part I think people can find a place to park
I have never needed a vehicle towed from an appointment complex, but I know it isn't my responsibility to make that call to a company to remove the vehicle. The complexes that I lived in there was always phone numbers for security , maintenance staff after hours, and the after hours management number for those kind of issues.
I am going into the NO PARKING sign business in Pigeon Forge and the 'Burg. I will make individual signs and place them in every single No Parking spot in Pigeon Forge and The 'Burg, sorry to say I still don't think that would stop some folks.

Sounded the the folks from Atlanta, saw an empty spot and took advantage of it. Just because there is a chain over the driveway doesn't mean you can't park there, am I right on that?
I love it when people get towed for illegal parking, and they think ignorance of the area can get them a discount or something. "I'm not from the area, I didn't know".
I have been coming to the Smokies for over 20 years and never been towed, maybe I just read signs and pay attention to where I park.

Kristen and Jeff I started coming there in early 60's with my parents, we use to park in that lot there wasn't such a crowd, I feel almost bad for these entitled folks that need their own sign lol

I don't know why folks seem to think you can just park anywhere you like behind a business. Especially in Gatlinburg where $20 is considered the fair going rate to pay to park. Truth be known, these folks took a chance, and it did not pay off.

Totally unrelated, it's so funny how we deal with traffic depending on what we do for a living. I get pissed if I stop for 3 minutes. I'm sure, in your line of work it's just normal to sit while you go to a call 😂 One thing for certain, I never have nor will I ever not pay for parking. I'm just too volatile 😂😂 ❤ the vids!
We have some family members heading your way in two week and they will have your phone number. They have a cabin rented so we know how that can go. I will remind them to Pay To Park or they will get to met you fine folks.
