You finally answered a question I've had since I've been binge watching your fascinating videos... "What if one of my kids parks like a bonehead and gets towed... Will I have to drive to where they are to get the car for them?!?" Maybe I'll also put a notarized letter of authorization in there for them just in case. Thanks again for your great content.

I grew up in the Appalachias but now live in southern Virginia where the autumn colors are... muted. Seeing the trees in full color is everything to me. Thank you, Jeff and Kristen, so so much. That view is gorgeous. Y'all are so lucky!
And mommy is footing the cost. Don't need to lock it! It's Mommy's car! Oh, the keys are in it! But if it gets stolen, hey mommy's car. I knew it wasn't a parking spot but hey I am special and a mommy's boy so all is okay. I have no moral character or responsibility for anything, mommy takes care of me. Hope he grows up before he's forty and still mamma's boy.
The vehicle blocking the mailboxes is also parked illegally even if no mailboxes as they are parked on a corner making it unsafe for others driving through that intersection.
Absolutely warms my ❤️ when you randomly give children gifts!
Never been on Loop Road, but the road I've been most worried about was driving Little Greenbrier Rd in the Metcalf Bottoms area. Most two-way dirt roads in the national park have just enough room for two cars to pass. But Little Greenbrier looks like if you met a car head-on, you'd have to do a round of Rock-Paper-Scissors to decide who's going to back up all the way to the start of where they came from to let someone pass.

Love your videos! Reference to leaving strobe lights on cop car.... my husband was an undercover cop and he and his partner were working surveillance on a murder-for-hire in an undercover vehicle. His partner accidentally hit the switch for strobes which were hidden. Whoops! Got great pictures of the suspect! Didn't realize the strobes were on until the suspect kept looking at them. Case did clear in the end. Ha Ha.

@@joshuamoore5689 Ha ha. I just remembered the local RM depot strike on our street a few years ago. Entire street was banned and we had to go to depot to pick up mail. A snowflake mailman complained that he was attacked by a vicious dog. I happened to have CCTV and it was my 3 doors down disabled neighbour's Bichon Frisse that yapped at him. Fucking hilarious. What a fucking piece of commie shit.
Somehow his manager could walk down the same street posting leaflets about how dangerous it was - He told me "MY WORKERS LEG WAS TORN TO RIBBONS!" - I asked him why is he more brave? Bichon Frisse. No answer. Just communist strikes.

Don't feel bad Jeff, I did the same thing with my wife's Soul. The last 4 or 5 cars we owned had 4 lug wheels and when I changed her tires the first time I took 4 lug nuts off and had fits trying to get the tire off before I saw it had 5 lug nuts on it. I absolutely could not believe I did that. SMDH. Love you both, God Bless.

I've owned Chevy trucks. The jack and tire release are under the passenger seat. Jack is a POS, but the all-important tire release is there.

Re: Officer Cox, he did the right thing. When I was in the academy the first driving course they taught us was accident avoidance. Glad he was okay.

Yep, me again... but you asked. Now I am in county in Southern California, retired. But deputy's/officer's that I know have to have approval from either the officer-in-charge or their Sergeant before they can turn on those lights. It's different for you because you don't have anybody you have to say you know can I go code or not. So if you don't have anybody regulating you saying when and you cannot turn on those lights then you also forget to turn them off, especially during daylight hours.
I had a old Dark Green Suburban I use to pick up scrap vehicle's with a trailer, I put yellow and white flashing lights on top, behind and in front of the truck, some jobs required me to on the side of the road, I wasn't required to have lights, but I figured its better than nothing, I for to turn them off and sometimes people will pull over for flashing white and yellow lights lol.

I work for the road department in the township I live in. One day I forgot to turn off the strobes on the work truck. I was on a side street waiting to pull out onto one of the main roads when the fire department was heading to a call. I pulled out after they went by not realizing my strobes were still on. Everyone was pulling over for me as well and I couldn't figure out why. My coworker then reminded me the strobes were still on and that the people probably thought we were a fire department vehicle as well since our road department vehicles are also red like the fire trucks.

Rule of thumb is that it will be about a 5º temperature drop for every 1,000' change in elevation, especially on a clear day.
So what ever the temperature is in Gatlinburg, you can expect Climgmans Dome to be about 20º cooler.
I've seen weather reports where the difference was much closer, as little as 5º, but I've seldom seen reports of a temperature difference more than the 20º difference.

I was a police officer for 35 years before retiring 13 years ago. I can’t tell you how many times I forgot to turn off my lights. As you said, everyone was pulling over out of the way and that’s when I notice the lights were on … somewhat embarrassing at times. LOL 😂

LF camber/ caster? Steel belt exposed, tire must needed replacement many miles ago.
I'm not used to seeing such narrow roads with drop-offs, sometimes on both sides of the road. Maybe you get used to driving on such roads if you live there but it is kind of shock to me to see them. I would be scared to drive on them especially at night or if there is snow or ice.
