Hi, i have the exact same radio in my SL350 and also the Bose Sound System. I dont find correct information for this setup and how to install a new radio with Apple Car Play. Some people say that after install a new radio only four speakers of the Bose System will work any more.
I want to keep the original amplifier too and just want to change the radio. Which radios are suitable?

Hi! with the correct interfaces and installed correctly all the speakers will work afterwards as well as the factory amplifier. Any radio is suitable as its not the stereo that is compatible, its the right parts that make the installation seamless.
The amplifier is however quite old now so most of the time we are bypassing them now and installing a new amplifier to run the factory subwoofer and/or speakers etc.
Are you located far away from ourselves?

I got this same exact head unit came with the car when I bought it it’s stuck in some like demo mode and doesn’t stay on the screen I want it to just goes back to telling me about the head unit not only that but I can’t get any bass out of it and I know the Bose system in these cars works wonders my last SL did but this literally no bass whatsoever and I just took the whole car apart to try and understand why and I’m at a complete loss I see on the head unit there’s a sub out cable with nothing connected to it nor an available cable to connect to it so idk if it’s bypassed somewhere and disconnected or what but man absolute headache taking it all apart just to be in the same situation as before lol wish I was tech enough with speakers/systems to understand what the hell im looking at

@ I assume you’re not local enough in England to book it in with ourselves to look into it? Demo mode can just be turned off in the settings menu!

@@johnkleiscaraudio na US man idk who set this system up but definitely either forgot some things or something theres also this constant beep sound that doesnt go away unless the car is turned off i tried to trace it down which the car had to be running in order to do so and when i would move some of the wires around where the amp is at it would either be louder quieter or go away all together but once putting the car back together the sound just wont stop so i guess thats another issue that maybe potentially linked to how this was setup maybe some form of interference?

@@thelootshow4669 yeah the constant ‘beep’ does sound like some kind of electrical interference. If it has BOSE, I would recommend bypassing the old BOSE amplifier and let the new stereo run all the speakers then install a small monoblock amplifier to run the factory subwoofer in the footwell!
