The decks are very loyal to the anime! I remember when character decks had just a few anime cards and all the rest had very little to do with the character in the anime.
This one looks like cheeks in comparison. No real good staples in the decks, they moved all the good stuff to the high rarity 20 pool of promos. Leave it to Konami to ruin the best product they've released in years.
Funny that Ancient Ruins is on Jesse’s deck, since Speed Duels have a 3 Spell/Trap Zones limit, and Ancient Ruins has some effects that require you to have 4 and 5 Crystal Beasts in your Spell/Trap Zones.
I power Power Bond is obtainable. I’d say it would be balanced cause you either kill your opponent or you die to the condition. But it would be cool if they made a skill card that avoids Power Ponds downside as a reference to the anime when Zane had Kiri to avoid Power Bond’s condition
Regarding dasher getting expensive: Destroyer Phoenix Enforcer. Your choices to make him outside of a HERO deck are either plasma as the "I'm not paying for dasher" option or dasher (plus the celestial of course).
Definitely buying this, my friend got the Battle City box and we just have fun duels all the time, this box definitely would be great will friends to just duel casually
If i remember right we can use speed duel cards in the TCG so in actuality this box is a decent way to get some good cards to build decks and some of them will be viable, so thats kinda cool.
I would pick up this box JUST for the Crystal Beasts, they are so hard to find and Johan is my favorite character in GX, and not just because he's the most important character :D

Some of the other secret rares included that I got are: Volcaninc Doomfire, Crustal Beast Sapphire Pegasus, D.D. Warrior Lady, Sphere Kuriboh and Ultimate Ancient Gear Golem.

Only about 4 minutes in but the Zane Deck is confusing. No Cyberdark Cannon and no Fusion Monsters. Okay, the Extra Deck is separate but still no Cyberdark Cannon, the whole backbone of the Duel Links Cyberdark Engine.
I'll get mine in 5 days and I really hope I'll get Secret Rare Cyber Dragon, Cyber End Dragon and Sphere Kuriboh. Those would be nice addition to my collection
You tried, but you should've known you can't hide your protagonist hair forever This looks pretty cool, it's nice that Speed Duels are getting some more content after what seems like a long time, and some of the skills look pretty good. It is pretty funny that the Crowler deck has only 1 "Ancient Gear" though, unless that got an errata, because if not then it literally cannot use it's effect in that deck.
D-Hero’s have a cool skill with Dreadguy and clocktower prison. Seems pretty good with masked heros also. (In duel link anyway) Also; dashguy went up in value since it is a target for fusion destiny when making Destroy Phoenix Guy (Enforcer); I think non hero decks used Celestial and Dasher to make Phoenix guy. With Dasher you can special summon a monster card you draw and then Celestial would let you remove it self and dasher from play to draw two cards.
I absolutely love the GX series, especially the Elemental Heroes, I had the deck an fusions when they first came out but I lost em 😭 BUT they've come back! Should I buy this box for my Heroes, I did love the Cyber Dragon deck but they missed a few
I wish that they also gave us Bastion Misawa's Water Dragon-Litmus Doom Swordsman Yugioh Duel Deck, and also Syrus Truesdale's Vehicriod's Duel Deck in this Yugioh GX Duel Academy Box with everyone else but hopefully they will receive Speed Duels Structure Deck's for thier Yugioh GX characters hopefully then!
