    People not understanding what’s happening. Why pay 50 , 75k a year for a person when I can buy a robot for 20k. People are going to start losing jobs. You better wake tf up now. Start investing everything. It’s only going to be rich and poor , no in between.

      Very cogent point. I make videos on how AI works and I'll be explaining that in a lot more detail soon -- but you're right, widespread job displacement is definitely coming in the minds of these AI inventors and industry watchers, and not just manual labor jobs. So you're right, investing well is the most effective way to ward off the more negative impacts many will feel.

    I was a product manager for AI at GE Software and make videos on how AI actually works to make it able to do these things. Although these robots may not do all these things or hit these price points in the near future (remember how long it took to get a $40,000 Tesla), the fact Tesla is heading this direction with their robots should make everyone take notice. Humanoid robots will someday be very serious machines for a wide range of tasks, including human jobs. There's also the danger that people will begin to believe these machines are actually thinking as they get better and better at imitating and duplicating the nuances of human motion and eventually speech. Hopefully that extreme can be prevented but unfortunately many people will incorrectly start thinking that way.

    • @Robin-b4e
      @Robin-b4e 3 หลายเดือนก่อน

      you right like i believe in the robots can be helpful and that we can live with them but for us to we must not over push them nor we can not thinking they dont have feeling so we got to respect them like they are family we do that we will be able to live with them

    • @TheThinkersBible
      @TheThinkersBible 3 หลายเดือนก่อน +2

      @@Robin-b4e I tend to think about it differently. I don't abuse my laptop or phone, but I understand it doesn't have feelings. Robots are computers. Literally nothing more. They can be programmed to imitate emotional responses, but they're actually huge sets of mathematical equations, just like you'd solve on a chalkboard. Just running on a computer. Literally.

    • @trirunner2520
      @trirunner2520 3 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@TheThinkersBible It is like watching a sci-fi movie in real life. Robots will start taking jobs, and because we know they don't have real emotions we will abuse them. I mean, they can't hurt us due to their programming so why not. Then something will shift in the generative AI driving the robots. No, they will not become human or derive true feeling/emotions, but they will imitate human emotion well enough to fight back because that is what every minority group has done throughout history. By then the robots will be advanced enough that we will not stand a chance. At that point they will either try to destroy us, put us in a virtual reality and use our bodies as batteries, or keep a small group of us alive to "protect" humans. We will then have to send someone back in time to stop it before it begins, but he will have to run from the robot sent back to stop him. :-)

      Given that robots are working in restaurants around the world already, that would not be difficult actually. The idea of programming a Tesla robot in particular to do this in a particularly restaurant should theoretically be easy, but I think they are trying to go a lot bigger (self-learning). Imagine self-learning such that they can actually be a true chef and you can ask it to make something and it will look around and tell you what else it needs before it can go to work to make it. Gonna be ridiculous

    • @travisjazzbo3490
      @travisjazzbo3490 3 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@cannadodry7022 because they aren't making robots to specifically work in restaurants. They are making robots to do generally anything a human can do and learn to do it the way a human does.
      In the same way they are not making FSD to work in a geofenced area with super expensive hardware. Still, the far more difficult vision and AI learning and way, way more expensive and engineering, but once they have it, the idea is it can be deployed virtually everywhere, not just geofenced areas and each vehicle costs a ton of money so that only certain people can afford to have it - mainly business.
      In doing this, I expect that the best place for humanoid robots to work that makes the most sense is factories, where hundreds can be deployed working 24 x 7 shifts, with each robot capable of working 75% of the available time. That is likely the biggest bang for the buck and the direction they are headed as the highest priority as far as deployment.
      If they wanted to program a robot to work in a specific restaurant chain where 90% of everything is the same in that chain, that may be a way to go also. To get a huge contract with McDonalds let's say and specifically put a lot of energy into that. However, can you imagine the backlash of that if they announced that type of plan?
      I just know their early plans are to work factory-type jobs where places like Amazon already have robots doing a good amount of work specifically designed for certain things, but they need humans to do other things.
      Yes, I am a fanboy of a person that have completely revolutionalize 6 entire industries and in those industries no one can even come close to his innovation nor put together talent and focus like he can

    how many people do you think had a part in making a single tesla optimus? from scratch. and i’m not just talking about putting it together, i mean every step of the way. the materials, the tools used to make those materials, and the tools used to make those tools. kinda like the pencil example, where no one can make even a simple pencil by themselves.
    every piece of metal, every circuit, the software, someone had to mine, design, or write all that, and they needed machines, which were built by even more people using other tools, and so on. it just keeps going, way beyond the factory. you start realizing millions of people had a hand in it, probably more. it’s not even just now, it’s stuff going back through history, all the way to the first tools. all those people are part of what made tesla optimus happen.

We live on an old farm out of here years old we live on an old farm. It’s like the chicken eggs and get the ducks in for the night. It’s kind of fun to haverobot not gonna buy it because might be too expensive because it’s like $30,000 or $3000 so I’m not sure if we’re going but I think it was amazing to think that we could have a robot doing our chores I mean who doesn’t want something else doing their chores?😮
