| Serbia rejoice after their win over USA that keeps them on track for a ticket to the 2021 VNL Final Four.
Serbia advanced on the road to the 2021 FIVB Men's Volleyball Nations League with a four-set win over USA that keeps the Balkan side very much in the chase of the table leaders.
Here's the reaction after the game, from the virtual Mixed Zone:
Torey Defalco (USA): "It was a very fierce battle until the end. They are a very good team and they play together for a long time. What we were missing is just a little bit of luck, because that team made a lot of blocks, they are very good players, but they sometimes also have a lot of luck when other players do other stuff, so we were just missing a little bit of luck and that's all. Coach John [Speraw] has done a really good job about getting everybody different wraps and practicing the stuff with different setters, because we knew that this situation would happen, so we were totally okay with Joshua Tuaniga."
Marko Ivovic (Serbia): "For us it was an important game especially against the USA. They have a really good team - maybe they are not in a good shape, however a win is a win and we are happy about it. It is an important win on the way to the Final Four. We had tactics, they have many players - today they started with different starting six and a different setter. It's difficult to play with some tactics when the team plays with more than 12 players every time making some changes. Today it was important to stay calm and to play our game and to wait until they gave us chances. We used these chances and won this game."

Kovacevic showing us who can call themselves real outside spiker. Best see of block and field, very bendy wrist and good passing. Better than Ngapeth and Kubiak

Tuaniga underset the hell out. He can't set for shit the ten feet, that's why DeFalco and Patch were overextending to reach or jump back.... We need another setter.

You know that this isn't the USA squad that we used to see playing, right? No Russell, Sander and Micah. But of course, Serbia's prowess was undeniably proven in this match. I hope USA get seriously or should I say find their rhythm in Olympic games.

For sure Tuaniga isn't quite ready for much responsibility. I like him but I think he is going to need more time to develop (especially with his blocking and pressure moments)! For sure would have liked to see one of the Micah's out there esp. again a team with this skill level!!

They really need to find Anderson's successor asap. He's aging and might retire from international play soon. Patch, altho very physically talented, has been underwhelming so far.

They are completely different, DeFalco has a Giba kinda style (without the talent of course), while Kovacevic is more or a crafty kinda player.

Russel is injured homie. And Patch is an OP, Russel is an OH, they have no relation to each other. Putting Russel in would mean getting Defalco or another OH out. I think you mean put Anderson or Ensing instead of Patch.
I am guessing the US is giving their young players a chance to prove themselves? Serbia is a strong team to let Tuaniga run the court, and B Sanders is not strong enough, I don't know why he is in the roaster. What is the US coaching staff doing? They are now sitting at #10. 😫

@@mrlsv5188 we have a ton of injuries. Sander Russell christenson Anderson and holt have all been injured for at least some of vnl.

Christenson had a kid, Russel is injured, T. Sander is injured or gone. Half of the starting team is injured. And Speraw is experimenting in order to figure out how he’s going to tackle the Olympics
USA men needs new player change all your players they are poor and weak, this coming Olympics sure no medals.
