Comparing the two top rated add-on aircraft for Microsoft Flight Simulator to determine which bush plane is best. 00:00 Intro and Story 00:56 Freedom Fox 05:51 Wilga 10:37 Conclusion
Nice comparison. Love the agricultural feel of the Wilga. It really demands continual attention to fly well. I was considering picking up the kitfox I this week's sale and your video swings it for me as far enough different to the Wilga to make them complement each other.
Nice review! I have the Wilga and it is sensational! A little bit old school, complex but not overwhelming and just character for miles! Just recently did my first couple of decent night flights in this and the view combined with such great and controlled cockpit lighting made the flight a lot easier…
Thanks! They did do a really nice job with all the cockpit and instrument lighting too. I'm definitely looking forward to some longer expeditions with the Wilga.
Great comparison! I enjoy both planes. Wonderful planes to fly in the bush! Just rewatched Air America so have been considering adding Milviz PC-6 Porter, but it sure is an eyesore.
Thanks! I'm seeing the PC6 getting recommended a lot too! I keep trying to look at it from different angles, but man the nose of that plane is just kind odd looking proportionally.
The comparison is not really the best. The Wilga in RL is used mostly as a glider towing plane, not as a typical bush plane. You should compare the Kitfox with Xcub, NXcub, C170, Maule etc etc ... also the doubleender even if in RL there is only one flying. Forewood farm is not a bushstrip, is a grass airstrip. In the simmer community they use bushstrip for everything that have a grass runway but in realiity this word should be used for rugged, unattended strips only.
Yep good points, I just see them being compared frequently online due to their relative popularity. I actually did a review on the Double Ender in another video of mine and talked at length about the history of that plane in RL. Super interesting aircraft and a great add on too. Thanks for taking the time to comment and sharing!
the Polish military definitely used the Wilga as a bush plane/cheap alternative to Helo's. The glider thing is more recent and a testament to it utility. It can do 95% of Freedom Fox missions with more payload capacity and much more ruggedness.

I love both. The Wilga has a neat float version.
Hi when is your DoubleEnder video coming out ? Just bought the DoubleEnder and its great to fly..Now looking at getting the Freedom Fox aswell.
Tonight! Just finishing up the editing of it now. Sorry, it took a bit longer than expected.
Nice chill vid, enjoyed it!
Thanks man, really appreciate that!
Great coverage of the details of each aircraft and the differences between them. Thank you for the information.

Great Video! If you would like to review the DoubleEnder, we would love to send you a copy :)
Thanks! That sounds really great, I would love to do something like that! I’ll send you a message.
Love the DoubleEnder great job on it.
What about the trusty old Maule?😊
Good shout! The Maule is like a backcountry workhorse, it probably deserves its own video.
Wilga is prounonced veelga, trust me, I'm a Pole. W is always V in Polish, to say weelga we would write it down as Łilga
Apologies, I think I knew I was pronouncing it incorrectly but was afraid to imitate it with my accent. I’ll do better, thanks for the feedback :)
@@GhostPlaneRadio there is an australian tree called wilga, so it is confusing; however, the plane's name is Polish for Golden Oriole
Cheers
Awesome, nice to know!
