    s a serial tweaker I will give these extra damped settings a try, but doesnt it depend on the airframe? DCS allows each airframe to be set up separately rather than MSFS global approach, which is a curse on some aspects as well as a bonus in others - your rudder settings are a big improvement on feel :)

    What I find difficult using MSFS over flying an airplane, is that the lack of feeling motion tends to lead you to make larger control inputs on the simulator. And also the lack of full vision limiting situational awareness is a problem for me. The Bonanza’s elevator is twitchy so dulling the control input on this model should help but maybe hurt other models. I’m going to give it a try.

    As for now, Im using an Xbox controller which I acutally have got pro on using. =P Ive set good curves etc - BUT i still have problems with the rudder....it just reacts too quick wich also affecdts stering on ground (in the case you are using the wheel for steering). Not sure what to do, but Im tired of rediculos looking takeoffs. Swiring from left to right... =/ Any good rudder settings for a controller. Of course...a real yoke or similar is what to prefer, but i really like the simplicity in the controller. =) Thank you

    You are confusing different subjects. Most GA aircraft aren't Fly by Wire. When you move the control the control surface moves the exact same amount the control moves every time. Minus any cable flex of course. What you're talking about is mass of the aircraft and the associated forces that you feel through the control not the control movements themselves. The controls move the same amount the environment around the surface changes dynamically.

    Reactivity is basically putting expo in the control. This is not how GA fly. They are extremely reactive, even down to a Cessna 172 IRL MSFS is very accurate. X plane dumbs down the control rates making GA aircraft feel floaty. But it's a personal preference so overall you can fly how you enjoy it, how you think a plane would feel. You'll be in for a surprise if you ever take the yoke of a real aircraft though.

    I don't know if you've ever flown an actual plane before, but the 3 (two Piper warriors and an Arrow) that I've flown didn't have a delay in the responsiveness of the flight controls. That's one of things I noticed when I did my discovery flight. When I took off, the plane jumped off the runway. When I banked left or right I had to be careful not to introduce to much input to quickly. Retarding the response of the flight controls would feel opposite to the real thing. At least in the Pipers I flew.

    Everybody, who thinks, he can just keep on playing the current WELL developed MSFS2020 until 2030....just ignoring the incoming new version....is NAIVE . Microsoft is the master in SOFTFORCING users to move along with their development. They have invested massively in 2024 and the Flightsimmers will pay for it, if they do want or not . The great delays for SU15 are showing, that there is a small crew left dealing with 2020 , while the ASOBO-POWER must be concentrated on the future.... I think, it will get more and more a WORLD-SIMULATOR....inviting millions to participate ...and the simmers opened the door. Real SimmerFriends ....always keep an eye on XP12 .

    When MSFS (2020) first came out, they COMMITTED to us, the user community, that it was a 10-year project that would include constant updates and upgrades through at LEAST 2030. At the time, I questioned whether or not that made sense from a business perspective, because a 10-year development cycle of a product that costs under $100 for the baseline sim just doesn't math properly, BUT... They're the ones who made said commitment, and it was not something pushed on them by us or others, they volunteered. In light of that, the fact we're seeing a new version in just 4-years is highly disappointing and demonstrates their lack of a willingness to meet their own standards. So, yes, I am pissed and disappointed simultaneously, but at the same time not surprised, unfortunately. If they had NOT made that promise, I would not be complaining, but... They did, of their own free will, and are now going back on their word.

    • @tubeloobs

      @@tubeloobs It's not so much that I initially expected the product to have a 10-year lifespan. Indeed, when Microsobo made the commitment to do that, I was absolutely shocked, as I'm a businessman, though you don't even have to be one to understand that a consumer product that costs $60 doesn't make enough revenue to have free upgrades and addons for a decade, not even from MS. However, THEY are the ones who decided, on their own, and with no outside pressure at all, to make that commitment, and I expect people, no matter who they may be, to live up to the expectations they themselves set.

    You are wrong, the engine is not re-written. There are changes, but for most part it will use MSFS 2020 engine. Who told you the engine will be re-written? In addition, certain optimizations from MSFS 2024 were put into the MSFS 2020 code base.

    • @GhostPlaneRadio
      @GhostPlaneRadio 10 หลายเดือนก่อน

      I referenced an article from KitGuru while researching for this video, where I mentioned that the game engine was to be rewritten. Upon revisiting the FSExpo presentation by Jorg and Seb, it's apparent that substantial changes have been made to the physics and aerodynamics engines, they made no mention of the underlying game engine however. They also mentioned that some of these optimizations will be incorporated into the 2020 version, although I'm still uncertain whether all updates and optimizations will also be back ported. Notably, multithreading of the physics engine. So all that to say, it's possible that my statement was not entirely accurate specifically relating to the game engine, so I appreciate your clarification on the matter.

    • @activex7327
      @activex7327 10 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@GhostPlaneRadio Changes vs re-writing entire engine are quite 2 different things. What you said in the video is incorrect. Re-writing an engine of that size is a full time job that would put Asobo on hold to do any work for MSFS 2020 for years. "it's apparent that substantial changes have been made to the physics and aerodynamics engines, they made no mention of the underlying game engine however. " - Yes, correct. The engine that drives MSFS is complex and large encompassing Graphics (made of various components from lighting to shaders, terrain, etc), Aerodynamics, ATC system, weather simulation, etc. There's also miscellaneous stuff that people don't talk about like handling memory allocations, CPU allocations, memory caching strategies, etc. There's going to be enhancements to various parts of the engine for MSFS 2024, but not a re-write. In addition, companies don't just re-write engines, that's not feasible from business point of view and a lot of code is good and can be re-used. They simply enhance it, and re-write parts if technology requires you to do that.

      FS2020 is anything but a “fully working sim.” At least for anyone that plays the sim on Xbox. And before I’m told “just get a gaming PC” I guarantee you no PC I get will be cheaper than me simply paying full price for a new game with better enhancements and features. In fact, I could buy the premium deluxe edition and it would still be cheaper than any pc I could buy that would run this sim at least decently. And the comparison you made to Apple makes no sense when you consider Apple releases new products every year. MSFS2024 is the first major overhaul in the flight simulator series since 2020, which by the way, will be almost half a decade old by the time 24 is out. I’m sure PCs have more patience with this sim, but the devs can’t save this sim on Xbox and they basically admitted that themselves when they said the code that the sim runs on is outdated and they can’t do anything with it anymore. Which is why when they said they would continue to support the game for the next decade as promised, they really meant the third party developers.
