My understanding is this tent requires six. Maybe others require more, the truth be said once you’re at full expansion, adding a few extra pounds goes rather quickly and is easy.
@@CyberTruckOne I actually just got the same tent as you. I double checked on the website I got it from and under the specs it said between 6-8. The first time I filled it I had my pump set to 8 psi. Right at 7.9 the safety valve began to slowly bleed air off. As soon as I turned the pump off, it stopped leaking from the valve. This weekend I set it to 7.5 and it seems to be fine. Thanks for the reply!
The tent's specifications call for between 6 to 8 psi. With that said, keep in mind that basic physics needs to be considered. The weather (specifically temperature) is a factor. I would not recommend pumping up to the max 8 psi during warm weather months. Go with between 6 to 6.5 psi. Warm air expands, so you could stress the tent more than you should if it's hot outside and you've inflated to the max psi. Conversely, if it is very cold outside (near freezing or below), you may want to go with 7 or 7.5 psi. I would not recommend ever going to 8 psi (the max). Also, consider altitude. High elevation sites will affect air pressure as well. Always allow for some thermal and/or atmospheric expansion.
@@WendellSeace Thanks for the information. One time we used the tent, I had let a quick blast of air out when putting on the caps (had done inflation wrong). Anyway, tent looked great and was fine. Until the temperature dropped, pressure went down, and it started to sag. Lesson learned. :)
Your video was very helpful THANKS for sharing 👍
ha ha.. I see you did find this video.. Happy they both helped
❤❤The explanation is very detailed. I like your video very much. Please share more.
Thank you, I will

How long does it take using the manual pump?
I would say in general about the same amount of time or slightly longer. Sort of depends on the fitness of said pumper. 😜
Is there a reason you only put 6 psi in it? I read that you can go up to 8 psi.
