The 250fx does have the WR gear box, so it would pull away from the 250F when it hits 6th... That's what makes in more appealing than the crf250rx and kx250x IMO
Theres no way the F and FX revved out to the same speed. Gear ratios are pretty different. FX 1-2 are lower than F. 3rd is similar between the two. 4-6 on FX are taller than F and FX is capable of a higher soeed because of it.
After 30 years were still comparing 125 2T to a 250 4T. If were going to compare 2t and 4t why not the YZ250X vs YZ250FX? Seriously, I'm NOT trying being snarky or mean but have always thought WTF on this 1252t vs 2504t! BTW I appreciate your new channel and work. Keep it up!
2t is much more efficient at making power so a 250 2t is more comparable to a 450 4t. remember in sx and mx the lites class was the 125cc and the premier class was 250cc 2t. then when they started using 4t it went to 250 for lites and 450 for premier class
@@didickcheeseburger my point exactly. They tried to sell it as the 4t is just as good or better and then matched them up with half the CC. Yes, I remember it I lived it. lol.
@@markstewart3516 its not really about the cc. at least not directly. the manufacturers arent trying to impress anyone with how much air the bike moves. they were making the move to 4t for the improved tq and more environmentally friendly. nothing more. anyway my original point was that the 250 4t was designed specifically to replace the 125 2t so why bother comparing it to a bike thats in the next class up?

125 is super fun to ride.... not anywhere near a 250 4stroke in power Thank GOODNESS Europe figured this out. the fact that AMA can't get off and change this rule just shows how mindless they are. 250 2 stroke belongs in 250 4 stroke class Only gripe, 2 strokes are too expensive for what they are. but , when you get over price to make something, vrs the need to turn profit, then the argument is moot. Nike shoes cost 2$ to make yet they charge 200$ so think about that, and look at the fact the motocross bikes are a NICHE deal. not many will ever RIDE one.
Probably shows how influential Honda Kawasaki, Suzuki and even Yamaha are to prevent riders from buying less expensive 250 two strokes that they either don’t even manufacture or make less profit on than their 4 strokes
The Two stroke needs to be a 175 CC to compete with a 250 four stroke

That's all gearing and could be addressed VERY easily. (by manufacturers)
There were 2T with WR gear box as there were 2T w/o wide ratio. So what.
I've never hit 5th nevermind 6th in the woods
@@DeanGuilberry2Using caps locks make you look like a smug idiot.
I will own both in May!! 22yz125x and a yz250fx!!

@@didickcheeseburger because the 250 2t and 250 4t have the same amount of ccs is why you would compare them, clown boy. 🤡
