Making my first corn hole board for a friend and nervous about painting and poly process. Do you have some advice for me or perhaps a video you have done that i missed? Thank you
It is really hard to explain how I do it, but not hard to do it. I usually use two colors and do one at a time, I tape off a triangle pointing to the center of the hole ...I will try to post a picture and give you the link. I am going to be building some more very soon and do another video. The hardest thing is making the hole look good but if you own a router it is a lot easier.
I always paint mine with at least two to three coats of exterior semigloss. I have made some with bar topper but those cost me $300 just in bar topper and I made them as a gift to my step son. The rules say the following: 5 5. The board finish shall be sanded to a very smooth texture, and there shall not be any blemishes in the wood surface that might disrupt or distort play. 6. The board can be painted with a semi-gloss exterior latex paint resulting in a surface that allows bags to slide, but is not so slippery that it allows the bags to slide back down the board. to slide, but is not so slippery that it allows the bags to slide back down the board. I am sorry the video was not very good...I am planning on doing another one as I have at least 3 more sets of boards to make for the Brewery. I didn't plan that one! I didn't have time to paint them as that takes more time and money than building them.
I like the jig you made for the hole. I may end up making a similar one! Thanks for sharing!

Hi great video.... where did you get the corner clamps? Did you ever make the jig video?

I got the clamps at Lowe’s and I am sorry I haven’t done the jig video yet. I will do it by next weekend and put a drawing of it on our FB page.
Why did you change routers?
I can't remember but I think that I had an issue with the one that I started with...not really sure?...

can you use pocket screws to attach 2x4's to each other and 2x4's to plywood?

Chad Decklever I usually put about 3 coats of paint and 2 to 3 coats of polyurethane. Make sure to use exterior paint.
