Heard Tommy say “ready for some assembly “ and could hear Norm saying that in my head. I really like this series as it brings back a little NYW vibe. It’s enjoyable to watch another craftsman with hands of gold build projects again.
Man...I feel like I've been watching yous my whole life. 44 years old and I can't really remember a time this show and others like New Yankee Workshop weren't around once I discovered wood working and home improvement existed. Great memories and even though the show has added a couple new faces to keep it going, I really love seeing the old familiar faces and miss those that have faded away. You are all loved and greatly appreciated. I have learned so much from you all! Take care.
Thanks for showing us how to make this and including the part at the end where we got to see you all play and have fun. Where did you get the custom decals made? That was a cool touch.
@Podcaster Emeritus Ever think of trying to help yourself? However since they’re custom decals, I’m pretty sure they were custom designed and made for THEM; which means you can’t buy them. Was that so hard?
No need to be condescending. I wasn’t asking for the decals they used genius. Try not being an a-hole sometime. It’s not that hard. Life will get better when you move out of your mom’s basement.
0:22 “so I picked up some KD 2x4 we want them nice and straight”. Now I know Home Depot sponsors them, but you know those nice and straight KDs didn’t come from there 😂😂
Yeah that was odd. I think the "hair over 8 ft" was to cover for the width of the blade. The overlapping didn't make sense but like most things TOH, it was the explanation on how to do it that was supposed to be the point, not the specific case we watched.
the editor sucks, the boards were over 8ft, they must have screwed up the filming and the board moved cause if you watch he pulls the tape from the same side in the closeup
@this old house couple details would make these even better. fill the screw holes on the top first so they dont snag a bag, or better yet, attach from the backside with pocket holes. round all edges including the hole so you dont snag the bags. lastly, put a cross brace under the middle to help make the boards more solid and reduce bounce. btw, finish looked good!
when you have a good skill, it is normal that you can go global and your name is recommended to so many people and from what i've heard about Mr. Brian Nelson, his strategies must be really good .
For once the dimensions are given for a "Build it" project. I have never seen plans available.. so most of the build-it projects are just neat to watch.. can't actually build them.
Only change, use a router to round off the edges of the board and the hole. People are very particular about their $150-$300 sets of cornhole bags and those edges cause tears in bags.
What is the average cost to replace a small area of Hardie fiber cement sheets on your house?? NOT whole house, just a ball park cost to do the job. Thanks!!😮😮
Not very impressed with this one. I would check out other builds. It’s simplistic, and close the regulations, but needs better joinery. No one screws the top on from the top…..ssssshhh
I never thought I would see the day that someone couldn’t watch an instructional video and keep their mouth shut if it doesn’t interest them specifically
Tom is really great he has a natural ability to tell you how something is done. And you know those are some good boards.
This old house is amazing it's been around for so long ❤❤this show was I was on when I was a little kid I can't believe I'm still watching it
The fact they played in the video..
Amazing!!!

It’s cool to see the crew having a little fun!
This episode was a fun one to watch. I love cornhole.
I have some leftover birch from a recent home project, I've just been inspired!

@@johnlebzelter4208 Just because you can't buy those specific decals doesn't mean that you can't buy your own custom decals from the same place.
@@tempesttube ok Mr. Know it all. You know best.
I love this show!
Tommy is a genius!
Love you guys!
I took advice at 3:31, "You gotta pump every now and then when it's slipping out."

Nicest 2x4s I've ever seen
Awesome! I'd love to see an episode where you folks make a bat house!
Nicely done 👌
Great episode!!!
Actually the American Cornhole Association says the slope of the boards must be 35 degrees from 90 😂
Can't wait to build one.
Here’s a tip. Use a Robinson bit and screw to eliminate all slipping

I just bought one at sams club for 99.00 official size and start playing when I got home

I was just recently thinking about making one of those. Great job.
Sure you were. Troll.
@@dennislogan6781 sure you were. Come to TH-cam and try to be cool. Haha
I love when you drawer Tommy😂
Wonderful!
If they were "a hair over 8ft" - why did the two 4ft measurements overlap? Looks like the studs were shorter than 8ft

My guess is that he just misspoke and meant to say a hair under 8'.
the editor sucks, the boards were over 8ft, they must have screwed up the filming and the board moved cause if you watch he pulls the tape from the same side in the closeup
There is a major flaw in your design. The legs should be at an angle outward so that there's no chance of it folding closed on itself during play.
TH-cam's 2 unskippable commercials in a row are really making me more selective about what I watch.
Awesome

Why when I cut with a six inch hole saw it tears my arms apart?
Where did you get your decal it is simple and not over bearing
Very nice guys 😅
If you use good old Canadian robertson square socket screws you will not get the tear out that you get from phillips head screws.

What was the final top coat used?
How come the legs are not angle. 90 cut on the bottom of the leg? How does that work?

What is the thickness of the plywood?
I keep hearing about this game a lot , a corn hole 🕳️ interesting indeed , the coloured bags what's fill of I wonder???! Corns 🌽🌽 right?!
Some use corn, some use plastic beads, some use sand.
@@bobby_greene interesting , thanks for the feedback.👍
don't the bottom legs need to be cut at an angle to lay flat?
I asked the same question.
The bottom of the legs should be cut at a 29 degree angle.
surprised he didn't cut the leg bottoms at about 30 degrees

Pro tip: add a board stretched between the legs a few inches up from and parallel with the ground. Drill a couple 3” holes in it…beverage holders!!
Whatever happened to horse shoes.
Do you guys know what cornholing means ? 😄
They should've watched a video about pro boards before making these campground boards.

Nothing wrong with this type of content, its a cool and interesting project.
