Drill the holes using a drill press for precision. Use a hardened steel nail or brad. Assemble and bond pieces together with J-B Weld. Then throw away.
😅😅😅😅
install completed brake lever onto scooter then throw scooter away.
Just an absolute waste of 13 minutes and 49 seconds of your life that you'll never get back.
I thought it was quite funny. I'm pretty sure it was meant to be.
Truly cringe-worthy...
No Way !
Thx i stop watching the video at 3:32 😂😂
@@Sparta_nl You're welcome. He just throws it away and tells you to buy a new one at the end anyway.
You just wasted your time 😂😂
I have broken motorcycle foot rest in my store. Thought about fixing it several times. Your video helped me a lot to throw it. Thank you
An engineer would have told you that what you did was not welding but more of a back yard aluminum solder attempt. Welding involves melting rhe base metal and the fill metal so that they form a rather uniform alloy making a continous metal piece. You did not even achieve a good solder joint with your technique.
You have to watch til the end
😅😅😂😂
@@ZapattaZDon’t bother
He is just trying working with his hands until he gets the porn music studio off the ground
It's an act of brazing aluminum.
To borrow the words of the famous Guy Martin "this has got hospital written all over it" . if it doesn't get you during the repair it will get you after it.
I was thinking what a potential explosion. Wonder how long those hot glue joints will last with gas working on them.
Truly the last Fix-It video you'll ever have to watch... 😂 13:36
Stimmt 😂😂😂😂😂
It ignorant people that purposely wast others time for no other reason than to be a dick that shouldn't have a yt channel p.s.🖕@@Tandrabuddha
I think you mean the last one you WANT to watch.
Take into account the cost of bit’s and pieces plus hourly rate a new one is cheaper and safer
Don’t watch to the end…complete waste of time!!!
but depend if can buy the same
"Buy a new one" only works if 'new ones' are available. Depends on the part in question. There are ways to weld aluminium reliably. This is not one of them.
Just get an ac/dc tig welder, bottle of argon, helmet, gloves, a workshop.
What a load of work for that. I’d rather just replace it
@@eddiee9491 true
Goal of this video achieved. I haven't laughed so well in a long time
Thank! Have a nice day!
That will work until you need to stop quickly and then you will find one piece in your hand and no brakes. Good luck with that.
There's 15 minutes I'll never get back
I wish i had’ve found this useful video before I went on Amazon and bought a brand new pair for $18.99 delivered the following day🤔
Thank you, but if you buy a new one, it will be very good and safe. Wishing you and your family a happy weekend
Jajajaja
Que desperdicio de tiempo
I thought the idea of reinforcing it by driving in screws was a great idea. Finally, filling the gaps with epoxy resin mixed with aluminum powder may have worked. I liked the honesty of the video by showing it to the end and then throwing it in the trash.
You know what. All you people keep complaining about this video but i don't see any of you having the mental capacity to even fathom this idea or even trying to bring something back to life. Including your manners... he did a great job and made some great all viewer friendly content. Thank you for your video and I'm sorry these people are so entitled to their not existent imagination.
I concur
Yes it is good to repair broken things instead of tossing them in the trashcan. But it is a waste of time being clueless how to do it. A thin sheet of alloy will turn into ash if it gets in contact with a flame. You can weld alloy but first you need a gas shielded welding machine and second the training how to use it.
Goes to show you that even the worse of ideas can fool, some people.
When you have time on your hands, heck anything is possible
I would never run the risk of finding myself braking or shifting with a broken lever. it is a piece subjected to constant stress and for the little cost the game is not worth the candle
If the motorbike falls, it can cause the brake lever to break. Thank you, have a nice day!
@@GausDIY there's a reason if it breaks. Accidentally it's something that can happen, it's a different matter if it happens because I tried to repair it. the insertion of a pin, also made of iron, a harder material than the alloy, reduced the thickness of the section intended to accommodate it, thus being able to cause a sudden breakage during the stroke, the work for carrying out the welding was ingenious but certain materials are particularly unsuitable in DIY, I sold bar counters, compressors, scales, slicers, fryers, meat mincers etc... and our technicians did great on copper, soft iron and stainless steel, they were capable of making iron rollers for graters, but also for welding of aluminum or anodized alloys, brass, cast iron, antimony and more had to turn to equipped laboratories and it was often convenient to order the new piece from the supplier. good life.
To make your weld with heterogeneous filler metal, you must first heat your support that you want to weld, so that it melts the filler metal, if it is compatible!? of which you will make sure beforehand that the latter has a lower melt degree index than what you want to weld. Otherwise congratulation for the creation and assembly of your blowtorch and the manufacture of the aluminum wrist brace, beautiful engineering.
I felt, I felt that something would go wrong. So much innovation and a spectacular ending😅😅😅😅😂😂😂😂
Great video bro, you put a big smile in my face ... Thanks for sharing
Glad you enjoyed it ! ❤️❤️
I bet his mum wasn't happy with her dining table when she got home!
Idea for video creator:
Instead, take the output fuel line and place in left nostril. Pinch right nostril shut. Close mouth to prevent escaping gas. Turn on motor for approx 25-30 seconds. Have lighter ready. Open mouth slightly and ignite lighter near mouth.
Hopefully this method will prevent the posting of stupid ass posts.
Excellent, going to break one then get a labotomy 😂😂😂
the duct tape method as you did it does not take into account the fact that the image is mirrored but not superimposable
If your life has that litttle value i guess it s an option
Just started watching and am wondering what's in the middle bottle. Is that urine? Is it beer? 🤣
Yeah, why don’t they say what it is?! Probably is “apple cider vinegar.”
@@1-2_Flush_Water_Saver It`s the explosion barrier.
Brazing, not welding. Though honestly this hardly even qualifies as soldering.
I love the end, it kept me hooked trying to figure out what was the point in this DIY.
Thank Bro
Fantastic that’s exactly how I would do it
Andy Kaufman humor where you get the laugh, but the joke is on us.
yep, it would been better to make a cast and melt aluminium to make a new one.
Yes, That's a great idea
That was priceless.
L'archétype du mauvais bricoleur. Toutes les étapes sont soigneusement foirées. Ça tient du génie !
Interesting idea! But skip all the torch stuff and bottles and hot melt, and just use JB weld and sand it. Probably stronger and way quicker. Still might be better to buy new one!
Great tip! I find your method very good, if possible I will try your method. Thank you so much!
If you got that right, I'd be blown away. Good effort. 😅
I think that most of de comments are from people that didn’t see the end of the video 😊
I'm very grateful to you for watching and understanding the message I want to convey
@@GausDIY They might have lost the will to live before you threw your attempted repair into the trash bin. May I suggest you do the same with your camera and prevent us all WASTING our time too.

had naar school gegaan dat had gescheeld!!!
Just buy a new one. Many motorcycle owners change those to aftermarket parts and leave the original parts for stock. It can be bought at a cheap price less than the amount and time you spent for the diy torch.🤣🤣🤣

What a bungler! A new one is cheaper than parts and time!

You can't solder aluminium. Only Weld with a suitable device. Mounting the wire end in both parts is a nice idea in itself. Only then you would have to glue it with a vulcanising sealant or 2-component glue.
Aluminium can be soldered with suitable solder and flux or abrading process

And the purpose of this was?!😅
As an 'engineer' I can confirm this is codswallop. Getting folks to watch to make some shekels off youtube

Visto il valore, conviene comprarla nuova.
Mind officially blown! Who would've thought a humble 1.5V battery could be used for welding aluminum brakes? This video not only showcases a brilliant idea but also highlights the importance of resourcefulness in engineering. Thanks for the eye-opening lesson!"
Lesson Learned: "Resourcefulness is a valuable skill in any field. Always look for creative ways to solve problems, as you never know what simple solution might just do the trick
That is a lot of trouble to go to to to butt-join two pieces of ally. They are basically screwed together with a bit of filler. Brazing usually uses a bit of 5 or 10% Al-Si alloy rod to enable a lower than melting temperature and also requires a carburizing flame to avoid oxidizing the surfaces of the piece. I've made dozens of cabinet frames from square section aluminium and an oxy-acetylene flame as I describe. TO do it porperly, a lot of heat is required with the pieces lying on brick or some heat-insulating material because the aluminium conducts heat away from the area of interest so rapidly. Nah.
Thank you for sharing your great knowledge, I always appreciate your comments. You are truly a wonderful and polite person. Once again thank you! ❤️

Waist time watching. This is a well known knowledge about broken aluminium, even the kids know it!
Congratulations! You just made me waist my time! 😂
Thank you! Have a nice day Sir!
Just a tip for anyone who doesn't want to waste time by watching these useless videos to the end...
As soon as you see the soldering iron being used to make a hole in plastic or the glue gun comes out, and believe me there's
always a God Damn glue gun, that's your cue to quit the video & use the time saved on something worth while.
TBH, i would leave the surfaces completely un filed and just use some epoxy glue and job done ?
What liquids did you use for that torch?
That liquid is gasoline and water
This video is nice but you can use something like JB WELD OR GLUE OF YOUR CHOICE, A WELDING GLUE!
Yes! I will try! Thank Bro!

wtf this was nice 😂😂😂

Next time try fixing broken parts with a piece of chewed bubblegum. You’ll spend much less time, energy and resources and you’ll wind up with the same results as this.
But for the sake of safety… don’t try to walk while you’re chewing the gum.
