    Wish this was available to consumers/tinkerers at an attractive price for diy electric conversions on older vehicles.

      Exactly my thoughts. Also if Bosh them self would focus to train "regular" car repair shops, this would benefit both of the sides. I would love to convert my Qashqai 7 seat to fully electric car! :)

      I can see a future where you take a car to the "shop"/garage for any fault & they just rip out the ICE anyways.

      Yevvy0000: the latest best EV tech parts are available, and for cheap! at any salvage yard,, seriously .. just look on YT at some of the many conversions using salvage Tesla parts, etc...

      Check out the shop EVWest in San Diego. Making ICE classic cars electric is their entire business.

      you guys will like this, a Tesla drivetrain dropped into a Lotus Evora .... there are 6+ videos in the series, here is link to video 5: th-cam.com/video/yyyqqPSIwqA/w-d-xo.html
      The Tesla motors and batteries I believe were salvage parts, probably dropped into a salvage Lotus Evora .. fun project. The first vids in the series show the build process, and dyno testing of the Tesla drivetrain ... car is VERY fast on racetrack.

    Im just wondering why it took so damn long for electric vehicles to take notice. Everyone is talking like this is new but its been around as long as automobiles have been made.

    • @justjc51
      @justjc51 7 ปีที่แล้ว

      Actually electric cars were the norm before gasoline and diesel vehicles entered the market. The way gasoline cars won was due to being cheaper, having longer range and by suggesting that you would have to be a woman to be satisfied in a womans car(an electric).
      They finally seem to have solutions for most of the BEV problems, although it probably will be another ten years before buying an electric car will be cheaper than buying a gasoline version.

    SO, you talk about the strides of the company’s history/R&D. But you failed to mention that Zero Motorcycles use a complete Bosch system on all their bikes.

    • @clivestainlesssteelwomble7665
      @clivestainlesssteelwomble7665 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      In the electric bike world Bosh has a proven track record. Mainly based on its ability to supply spares and offer support but dont under estimate the fact that they have been around for a long time and act like that will continue.
      The problem with new tech is too much isnt designed to be repairable... And warranties are dependent on the limited availability of parts. So evolution and ease of retro fitting is an important change all manufacturers and legislators need to make.

    Classic marketing nonsense... We have an XMO followed by a 36ph , based on a CL2. But for OEM we use an ABC with the advantage of XLS traction. This D2000 is our flagship model though. It's IPS is optimized for DLS. Unless of course you want less RGN, then use our model SP275.

    I imagine an all-in-hub electric wheel that can be mounted on any gas engine car, removing the engine, transmission, gas tank, brakes, etc and adding battery packs, the computer and the new connections to a car's brake and accelerator pedals.

    Hello.
    You have information on an electric motor of approximately 500 kW, which has a Gigantic torque of approximately 700-1000 N/kg.
    At the same time, low-speed about 10-100 rpm / minute

  • @charleshines6155
    @charleshines6155 4 ปีที่แล้ว

    Why must you speak of transmissions? Some automatic transmissions these days are absolutely awful! It would be nice to be able to use a variable speed motor to make them obsolete!! Then if you want to get into CVTs they are most certainly NOT without reliability issues either!! Any transmission put into an electric car or truck better be able to handle massive amounts of torque and last a long time. This is the future and it is time they started making a car that could last (not just a Toyota PLEASE!!)

    Gotta say I like the tech tho.
