I get not ranking them at 1 because as annoying as they are when they get the stunlock (which is often) they can be incredibly fun to fight for me. Granted, before the smith’s bonfire was added it was never worth it to fight them „fairly“ but when the stakes are low doing the bonewheel dance is something I look forward to.
There's nothing like the panicked early-game dash to grab the rite of kindling (+20k souls and a free mask), and thinking "oh thank goodness, I'm finally safe now that I'm in the boss room"
It’s gotta be the stupid mosquitos for me. Gotta love how they can spot you from across the map and vertically follow you so no matter where you go, there is a swarm right behind you
Basalisks should've made the list imo. Having to waste half an hour running all the way back through the depths and to the merchant in the sewers to waste 6k souls removing the curse or having to go through blighttown with half hp is awful.
Basilisks would top my list too. They swarm you in the Depths, they jump scare you in the Great Hollow, and were they really needed at all in Ash Lake? Also putting an enemy that can curse you in the early stages of the game was just cruel. I just don’t care about the Ring of the Evil Eye, I can manage without it.
I prefer letting the bonewheels slam into my shield when playing with high endurance, most of the time they get deflected sideways but its very satisfying to fully block their charge then punish them as they lay helpless infront of you. Feels good after all the deaths they cause.
no hate for the darkroot cats? those things are the absolute worst. straight impossible to fight without cheesing their aggro ranges and their inability to fight in trees. devs realized they were so bad and that's why they're plopped down in a big circle who run away the moment you toe the line one inch out of that circle. you can't dodge them, you can't block them, you can't out run them, you can't tank them. completely unfair and unfun
@dalton2592 I skipped the Hydra, I simply did not fight it because it wasn't a boss. I was playing the game for the third time the other day but armorless and with no upgrades. However, Orstein and Smough was too hard for someone who was low level and without armor. I defeated it in 3 tries during my first playthrough
Hey Billy! Just wanted to say that I love your content and have been a great inspiration for me! Can’t wait to see your ranking on this one. Hoping that the bonewheels are buried deep down in the hell of this ranking
For the toxic hollows if you kill them with a backstab you will also avoid the toxic effect! (Sort of like the Bloodborne silverbeasts with their gross worms)
My most hated Blighttown mob are the blow dart shooters in 1st place, the annoying blood-spewing bugs in 2nd, and the bigger brutes (rock brutes near Quelaag and the great club brute on the descent and the back entrance) in 3rd
For the channelers I just bring a bow before going to the archives and pick off the one opposite of you when coming from the cell, I didn't really mind the channelers but I can say that the first half of the archives can be a nightmare. My least favorite(or one of the worst enemies in the game) would be either those drakes since they spend more time flying around than fighting and it's just tedious or the clams? Not sure what the clam enemies are called(ones in ash lake) but I find them equally annoying, another pick could be the crystal golems if you're more of an intelligence build...yeah it's not fun and takes forever.
Try to backstab the engulfed zombies, the knockback from the player to the zombie is far so you wont get toxic, of course if theres a wall nearby this may or may not work
the number 1 spot doesn't make a ton of sense to me. To access the painted world you need the doll and to have killed the illusory Gwynevere so you'd have the lord vessel which would let you teleport out of the painted world from the bonfire to go get blooming purple moss, no?
Forgive me for being a bit late, but no,you don't have to kill the Gwynevere illusion to access the painting, you can actually do it before O&S,also teleporting in the Painted world is disabled so the only way out is in Prisicilla's boss room
Haven’t gotten into the list yet. But if that one specific hollow (you all know which one) on your way to the depths with the torch and the 18 hit combo isn’t on here, this list isn’t valid lol
My advice? Always have a bow and an unhealth amount of arrows. Speaking of bows, the Sniper Crossbow is a crime against nature as its purpose of sniping cannot be possible, despite it explicitly stating in the description that it is used for long ranged precise shooting. Dark Souls 1 crossbows are pretty much useless: you cannot easily aim with them at all because the regular bows stole the ability to actually aim, and it takes too long to load and fire them compared to just the bow. I think there is only one viable crossbow in the game, but its only effective usage is to treat it kinda like a shotgun.
Only #8 for blowdart snipers?! They are somehow worse than basilisks and crystal hollow snipers combined. On my second playthrough, I decided to go through Blighttown the normal way, and then after being shot by one, I decided to enter through New Londo. Also fuck the NPCs in Darkroot Garden, they tortured me when I was going for early four kings in the same playthrough.
It’s so cool how everyone in the DS community is so respectful of other people’s preferences and opinions. They’re all so open minded and are never ever even more toxic than any toxic swamp. Y’all act like everyone should feel exactly the same way that you do. If all you’re gonna do is talk shit about someone’s opinion than make your own video.
Stop comparing a few people to the entire fandom. There are plenty of Souls fans that will hear positive, negative or just different opinions about their games. There’s thousands of Souls fans, 30, 20, 10 does not represent the majority. It’s hypocritical to say EVERY souls fan is toxic will dragging the others fans that don’t act like that. This is just a shitty way to escape criticism of one’s opinions. “ Don’t agree with me. Tsk typical mindless fan bodies.” That’s as toxic than what you’re claiming buddy. I am sick of tried of this claim it adds nothing and does nothing.
That’s a solid list! There are just a few exceptions that I personally don’t consider bad although I understand why they’re here. I can forgive the slimes even if their jumpscare gimmick wears off after the first run and bonewheels are engaging if… a bit overtuned. Even Dune Reference Junior while not amazing to fight are the most disgusting enemies in the game for me which does make me glad that they exist. But skeleton dogs? Nah. I refuse harming those puppies out of pure hatred.
Can i Shoutout the Gargoyles from Lords of the Fallen!! Always in Ganks, Spammy, Fast pursuit, decent Hp for the small posture they have and in tiny corridors! These are the most frurtrating enemys in any Souls Like i faced. Lies of P Tentacle Dogs, Code Vein Swamp Monsters, Nioh´s Wheel Yokai are not as Bad as these!
Apparently I got really lucky with the Channeler's Trident drop, I've heard a lot of people complain about it as one of the worst things to get for the achievement by now but never understood why. As for worst enemy I'd have to go with those giant cats in Darkroot Garden. They were my first true roadblock on my first playthrough. I had to sit there for 15 minutes each tickling them to death with an unupgraded bow and arrow, after having died several times to them already.
Okay… so… you know the game has bow and arrows and throwables items, right? You know you can lock onto enemies, right? How do you die to blighttown dogs every single playthrough? Kill the dart boys and dogs with arrows from a safe place and grab that soul and bonfire after the little area is cleared. Takes about 3 minutes. Dart boys go first, then from the ledge shoot the dogs, and you won’t die
Sorry but this is such a pedantic comment. Also there's barely any safe spots where you can actually snipe the dart blowers so point is kinda invalidated. Also not everyone uses bows :/
Should've did dogs 😂 Ds3 teleporting dogs 😒 yea Fromsoft isnt trash huh? Elden ring them insta bleed 1 shot dogs 😒 just incase u needed proof they don't playtest they games or if they do they're on god mode.
surprised there was no mention of the giant skeleton dogs in tomb of the giants
That's simply because Tomb of the Giants itself is a horrible area in general.
People hate those enemies? I always thought they were cool
Because they aren’t that bad
@@sherman1476 Me too
They suck so much ass.
I swear, if Bonewheel skeletons aren't in first place...
This is the same dude who didn’t rank Bed of Chaos as the worst DS1 boss 😅
They good enemies.

Them or curse frogs.

"The Bounding Demons aggro range is small"
*laughs in pre-patched original Dark Souls*
I remember farming the channelers for ages for that trident, the last weapon I needed to get the 100% back when the game was first released. Bastards
Actual trauma.
That kinda achievement sucks and it will never be fun to get it. If someone enjoys those 'lucky based' achievements... damn, get help
@@simp-johnsonhonestly if you don’t enjoy them, damn get help
@@Wallahi13 oh yeah of course I enjoy spend literally hours farming 100+ items with a drop rate of 2%, 1% or less... you're sick if you enjoy that

Great vid, hope to see this topic covered in all the games!!!
Loving your stuff man!!! Keep it up! I seriously love the hot takes in some cases 😂😂😂
“THE BASILISKS! WHERE ARE THEY?!”
I was using queelags fury sword on my first playthrough so I never even realized that they did that
The bonewheels in catacombs are right next to a bonfire
For the slimes, I found out a holy weapon ( like divine balder long sword) and the gargoyles Haliberd both deal great damage to them
Excellent video as always, although the fatrolling is KILLING me 😂
The Drakes, use a bow to move them from said bridge job done.
I can’t believe I got the channeler trident in my first go
i'm surprised there was no mention of basilisks
If you backstab the Engorged Zombies and then buffer a roll away, you'll avoid the toxic death aoe
Those Fn Small Red Demon Dogs in Blighttown 🤦🤦🤦🤬🤬🤬
