Wow! The beavers are building modular dams offsite and floating them into position. Brilliant!
Great comment, made me laugh !
You have to love the beaver.
It is a round bail of hey
😄

When I was a small child it was fun to flood my grandmother's garden and make dams and rivers, bust the dams and watch the erosion. It didn't make her happy but I learned a lot. I grew up and I spent 30 years as a wetland scientist and have seen the valuable habitat created by beavers. Their dams raise the groundwater table, create valuable wetland and fish habitat and actually decrease erosion and catastrophic flooding downstream and help a stream to flow later into the year. There are many farmers in the USA that have seen the benefits of beavers and make artificial beaver dams and translocate beaver families to improve their land. Every small valley in the hills and mountains with a flat valley floor was formed by beavers over thousands of years. We have beavers to thank. This dam didn't seem to be effecting the farmer at all. In a small sloping valley surrounded by riparian vegetation and the pond well away from the cropland. It is fun to see the water power but it served no purpose to break the dam. The beavers will just build more. I thought it was great to see the hay bale plug float into place. Go beavers! Be careful. It isn't worth your life.
It's drainage channel. In the ground there are pipes which draining water to this channel. It's farmers land and they are getting losses.
@@DanCary-fu9vl what a load of malarkey from someone that doesn’t have his land or income negatively effected by beavers. These canals are to drain excess water from farmland to keep beavers from ruining the land. Thirty years as a wetland scientist? I’m not impressed, and wonder if your employer was/is the US Govt aka the Taxpayers?
The Canadian Forest Service has a solution for this instead of breaking the dam permanently. The stick a large (six inch of better) pipe at a preferred level in the dam after it drains. On the upstream side put an elbow pointing down covered with a large steel mesh. On the downstream side put an elbow pointing up with a plug in it. When the dam starts to get too full, unscrew the plug on the downstream side until you get the water to where you want it, and then screw the plug back in place.
@@Kenislovas Are the farmers paying you to do this then? but in some countries the farmers get grants for habitats and raising water tables etc
A freshly collapsed dam goes well with morning coffee! Cheers!
Well, as a Dutchman and the Netherlands being well known for its rivers and the sea, I can tell you: Never underestimate the power of water. We are tought that from childhood.
people forget that one litre of water weighs 1 kg, so 100 liters weight ten times more, and for each rising meter it gets heavier and more pressure,
@@Palmstreet-u7x 100l weigh 100kg, right? Just for the sake of German 😅 & physical preciseness 😉
@@NRZ-3Pi10 lol, yes, it was a blond moment, hit a blank, yes 100 is 100, for US citizens I am too lazy to work it out in gallons, lol, 1 gallon is 2.22 litres,
@@Palmstreet-u7x 😂Happens sometimes 😂
But also served as a heads-up myself since I was just replying to a comment "millions of litres per second" further down below and estimated the speed observed here.
@@NRZ-3Pi10 i understand, fascinating observation in any case, I sit and wonder myself about such things upon watching these kinds of videos, , as I am a qualified boilermaker/ sheet metal/plater who for 40 years worked in the South African gold mines and so came in contact daily with all this theory of capacity, litres measurements, and I have a very big enquiring mind, always want to now more, lol,
I saw the bale of hay sitting in the water in the opening shots. Those bales are extremely heavy!
And water-logged!
In America those round bales can weigh 400 to 1700 lb that one looks like a small bale so probably 400lb to 600lb.
Yes they are very very heavy.
Wow. Glad you got out of the way of that big wave. Thank You..............Jay
Another Great Video! For a second I thought the Hay Bale was going to block the exit! but I now have visions of the beavers using it to build the next Dam!
Dam rolling - a new discipline for the olympics.
I love watching the collapse and I’m always thankful that you put safety first! That much water would make quick work of anyone caught in its path. It’s a great day when everyone goes home safe and sound. 😊
Don't veafraid of the beaver
What? Got him wet and rolled him about 20-30 yards down the creek? Probably no more than that …
Oh man … those huge logs at that velocity would cut him in half … or the force of that much water would have shoved him to the bottom and pinned him down or entangled him in the debris and drowned him within seconds… I mean, what if he was trying to jump back out of the way and tripped or lost his footing and gone down? Was there anyone there to help? What if there were offended beavers nearby lying in wait for just such a moment of vulnerability wherein he could be ambushed? I’m sure they know that by law, he cannot possibly be armed, and are fully prepared to exploit that additional vulnerability as well. His eco-prosecution of un-permited wetlands drainage-system modification by untrained vermin would come to an end. It would be Whale Wars all over again…Beaver Wars …

The hay bale was moving! Some serious current ripping through there. ❤
That is a huge amount of water ,being held back ,your opening was the best yet the Music ad Photographic work was awesome ,your getting quite creative ,keep up the good work
You are welcome!
I don’t know why but I enjoy watching your videos. Beavers are incredible builders. Amazing to see such solid construction.
The aerial views of Lithuania are absolutely beautiful. It tells me Lithuania is a beautiful country to visit
Yes. Imagine taking a bicycle tour of the small villages, beautiful forests, European architecture...even the temperature is moderate for comfort.
Yes! Beautiful country it is❤️
@@lindaleal809all the better reason to visit and do that very thing right there! 😃
Holy cow a one ton hay bale free floating! Amazing!
the dislike was from the beaver that built that
Just a minute. That was a beaver's home!
That was a HUGE chuck of mud that came loose on the rollover, no need for the shovel. Powerful release.
All I can say is, "WOW!" I believe this is the most water you have
ever released. Ever! And, what an awesome collapse! This was an
experience just watching. Thank you so much for this!
Glad you are safe Brother. Stay safe out there and keep up the great work!!!
PS: It may be a while before you find another dam with more water behind it and
one that is so powerful. Kudos, Bro. 👌👌👍👍
Thanks!
@rockerforlife194 You should check out the one from a month ago called "The art of dam removal." It's the same location, but the collapse is even bigger if you can believe that.
th-cam.com/video/K1upVFTpu3k/w-d-xo.htmlsi=6BsSPL3PPbZknMlK. Same location and an even bigger collapse if you can believe that.
@@KenislovasI was crying for that round bale of ruined hay. You have no idea how much one of those costs in the US
Ha ha ha! I was just saying “Holy Cow” when you panned over to your face!😮
Intros to your videos are excellent! Great job!
I remember a video about 2 years ago where you had a bale of hay and you tried to move it but it wouldn't budge and yet this one floated directly into this dam opening!!! Amazing!!!!!
Yeah! I remember it too! ;) Thanks!
@@Kenislovas thank you for getting back to me!!! I watch all your videos and the videos mean a lot to me because I worked hard to provide for my wife just as you do for Roberta and your wife!!!
HEY! That's a lot of hay! And you must have raised the sea level where the river comes out. Really good one!!! 😺
Wow a fifteen hundred pound roll of hay floating that is a lot of water pressure that was awesome
That was an amazing and scary dam busting. The power of that water to move that huge bale of hay like that is mind-blowing!!!
Wow! That was a powerful one. Well done!
Missed you all thankyou for the video.please be careful 🙏🙏💕💕
I thank you for the beginning drone footage. Flying closer to the backed up water, to the dam, and then to where the water is going helps alot. Detroit thanks you again.
Thanks Patrick!
@Kenislovas I saw your wife, you, and daughter at her first day of school, and it touched my heart! You appear to be a great dad and husband. Keep working hard and wish your family the best. You're one of those people who seem to be genuine. That is rare and exceptional.
That's one big ass dam you got there boy!
Wow, that was a pretty huge collapse! And again, I really like the new music your using, sounds almost like 70s space jazz from the golden age of the synthesizer.
Thanks!
Your music choices are always wonderful!
My favorite kind of video. I could watch that all day, very soothing. Thanks old bud !!!
That bale was like, "Hay, what's going on here?" 😂
😀
Lol
Good one. Flowing like a river. It was very high also. Good job filming
Excellent! Drone really gives a sense of scale, how big the ponding is!
The Beavers “Plan B” Nearly Worked 🤣
Excellent video of a BIG DAM collapse.
Powerful steady powering down , you wouldn’t be able to jump over that deluge Ken , amazing ❤
I really enjoy watching your videos especially when the dam collapses.
Nice. Very Nice! Love seeing the bubbles on water surface prior to collapse.
I'm looking for bubbles now, also.
You have a beautiful office! 😊👍The drone footage set the scene. Love it!
That was great! The way that the water pressure gradually weakened the dam and then that massive rush of released water following was amazing. The wind wasn't too bad in the audio even listening through headphones. Loved the bale of hay which was trying to escape.
That was massive. Thank you for sharing
Think this is the best one I’ve seen you do 😊😊
Great opening segment
This one was major!! Great work bro!!!
we have whole wheat marshmallows in Canada too! LOL. Great collapse and a bonus floatie!
GJ - helping Nature !
Mantas awesome video. I thought the bale of hay was going to block the hole you had made in the beaver dam. The beavers will use it to rebuild their dam. Lots of water to say the least, keep up the great work.
David B.,Utah, USA. 👍👍🤩🤩🥰🥰❤❤❤.
watching the initial collapse of the dam I said to myself " okay you can go home. that was awesome.
OMG, What a flow of water, PLEASE , stay safe, and keep up the great work. God bless
That is crazy! I don’t know how much they weigh in Lithuania but I know that round bales of hay way about 900 pounds or about 408 kg here in Indiana USA! So that’s definitely some major hydraulic power going on. 😮
Yes, similar weight. ;)
One of the best! Roll over!
Greetings from the BIG SKY of Montana. The wind in the trees tells a great back up story for you.
It is amazing that the dam stayed up as long as it did. The amount of pressure on the back of that dam must have been enormous. At 11:15 you can see that you really shoud have cut down that tree in the middle of the dam. I liked that you started the video with the drone.
Keep doing your good work no matter what ignorant people say!
When you stood in front of the dam and it was up to your shoulders, it looked very frightening, knowing all that water behind it !! Also a while ago somebody said about air bubbles the other side of the dam before it collapses, so i try to see, and this time sure enough just before the collapse, there were lots of air bubbbles. Anyway it was a lot of water !! Only seventeen degrees and cloudy in this part of uk, brrrrrrr. 😁😁🇬🇧🇬🇧🇬🇧
Love your opening and the music is amazing.
Good job.. I liked that you took the time and trouble to set up a different view as well enjoyed seeing the tipping point from another perspective... be careful out there though please!
Water is literally the most powerful thing on our planet. Please, be safe, if only so I can get more of your videos.
That was awesome, take care.
That’s how the English Channel got cut out when an ice dam collapsed. Must have been catastrophic.
Wow - that was fantastic. Good work.
Wow,wow, wow! Can't wait till I see the hay bail go over.🥰
Nice one 👍 thanks.
That was cool
Thank you
😎😎😎👍👍👍
Awesome collapse! One of the best!
Another awesome collapse Mantas.
Wow Mantas, almost 90k. I remember when it was 90. You've become quite popular. I do believe it's your work ethic. Congrats on your success buddy, keep up the great work.
Ohh.. you are here for so long ❤️ thanks for being with me 🙏
@@Kenislovas I like the way you work. You do your work in a very different way than anyone else. A big plus is you're a likeable kid. Yes I'm old and there aren't to many like you. You keep doing Mantas and it will be just fine.
Greetings from the BIG SKY of Montana. You have your hands full now.
Never think that what you are doing is boring. It might be fun to “see a day in the life of Mantas”. Breakfast, prep, the drive (with commentary, of course), then maybe some sequence of the “boring” removals collapsing, saving the best as a full sequence with brush removal, raking, and under cutting.
That’s some swift water. Your camera placement is very good
Wow great collapse with extras x
Amazing!!!
That exploding dam is great to see. You have to be careful and you were! Thank you.
“Are you kidding me?!” Is a great comment after all that work and the bail moved into place. More work!
That was very cool.
wow 0 the flow was strong enough to life a several hundred pound bail of jay and floated it. outstanding job my man!
That dam got disintegrated. Solid collapse! The beavers would be proud on that hay bale.
Nice, great work
Nice! Can't wait for the next removal there to see how you handle the bale of straw.
Leave those hard working beavers alone ! ! They are improving the water table and enriching your brookside fields !
Yes !! I completely agree.
I don't think he's got any awareness and or knowledge of nature's balance.
Destroying a beaver dam is another way of saying; "Let's get the beaver out of this world."
He’s being paid by farmers because the extended water table is ruining the productive farm land. This is not wild open forest. It’s a farm !!!
beavers and humans have to share, usually they allocate certain peaces of land for the beavers, but remove them in farm land where the high water table destroys farm crops. don't project your local situation and beaver policies on foreign countries of which you know little

"Beavers and humans have to share."
Do beavers have a say in that?

My Dad lived his whole life thinking he was Irish. We found out through DNA that we are not Irish. We are from Lithuania.
But because they changed their last name when they came to Canada, we have hit a dead end in finding our Lithuanian Ancestors.
I see that Lithuania is a beautiful country and someday we will come there and maybe meet some long lost family. 🙂🙂
😊my haritage is from Lithuania so thank you for the footage from that country ❤
Very good Video Excellent
What you're doing is really excellent and it is highly appreciated by the farmers and your viewers. But yes, don't mess with hydrostatic pressure. It is an immense force!
Very nice work on the video Opening!!! And the rest!
Thanks!
Thank you very much!
I really like the music you pick!
Wow what a gusher, love it!
@p
My words exactly.....on our honeymoon night!
WOW😳that dam must have released thousands of gallons of water!! The dam coming down was quite effective! In fact it was awesome! 👍
Was that a massive rock floating????
It was hay bale✌️
Excellent video!
Good job 👏👏
Beautiful just Beautiful I love the way the water rules
I think it’s the beavers that rule the water!
And another one bites the dust. 😂 Great job 🎉
Amazing amount of water!! Watching the bale on the move made me smile. Such fun to watch. Great job.
That appears to be deceptively dangerous. Enjoyed it though. Thanks for the share. 👴
Best collaps ever!11
Ok, this replaces the other mega dam from a few weeks ago, This has huge, that amount of water pouring out looks both dangerous and fascinating to watch. Great job on this one.
So cool!
Loved the beginning drone flight and music
