I graduated from SSGMCE in shegaon almost 15 years ago. There's nothing that can beat the memories of eating this kachori at 3am. When going home, had to take at least 10 pieces for the family. The most fun fact for me- my dog, who never ate anything vegetarian, would eat at least 3 of these kachoris whenever I got them.😂

Shegaon chi kachori is emotion. As a kid I never used to understand how can someone like vada pao or kachori as their fav dish. Then I moved to shegaon for my engineering and shegaon chi kachori was my staple food for 4 years. All these dishes are so rooted in these cities going to those cities and having it there is joy beyond expression. my fav pairing Shegaon - kachori Nagpur - Tarri Poha Pune/Mum - Vada Pav Nashik/Kolhapur - MIsal Surat - Aaloo puri Delhi - Chole Kulche Jaipur Kachori again

My uncle is from Akola so whenever I visited there by train at shegaon we always used to eat this kachori, it is very nostaligic for me, You nailed the texture of it,I will try this recipe for sure. One suggestion for everyone is to serve it with a simple salad of cucumber and raw mango as it is typically served by shegaon kachori vendors😄

Akola is my sasural.. as I am from rajasthan ... we are known for our rajasthani kachori and all other delecious dishes... but when i visited the shegaon i have tried this kachori with mirchi ka thecha.... i mean just wow... so simple and elegant that's why people can eat this kachori 5-6 in one go.... but more impressive was for me is gajanan maharaj temple... such clean and nice management place... i wish all spritiual place can take lesson from this spiritual place.... shegaon is quite clean place as well overall. good experience.

This looks so so good.. ❤ I had a constant smile while watching your video. I have never been to shegaon, but my fond memories are from pune 6-7 years back where one corner near chandannagar one uncle used to come and set up his cart for shegaon chi kachori and it used to be finished within hardly 2 hours of his setup. Whenever I used to go that side, I would always have this. I will definitely make these at home and have them with my family ❤

Made shegaon kachori today. Its my first time to try any type of kachori. Texture bit here and there. But taste turned out amazing. I made green chutney but without chutney and with green chillies it was yummm.... Thank you chef for recipe with so much precision.

Hi Sanjyot, Superb recipe as always. My favourite food from childhood is Shegaon chi kachori. I make this by using bhavnagari or gathia, green chilies, ginger and dry spices you showed. I put them all in mixer jar and grind. It doesn't need further cooking. I don't use kasuri methi and garlic. Without this also it gave me 99% result. You can also try once. Thank you.

I have been searching for this recipe for years and even though I did find it on some popular Marathi TH-cam channels, I somehow always felt that the taste would never come out close to the original and never felt like trying them, but, now that I'm seeing this on yfl, I just know the taste will be very close to the original one. Made shegaon kachori today. Its my first time to try any type of kachori. Texture bit here and there. But taste turned out amazing. I made green chutney but without chutney and with green chillies it was yummm....

Akola cha devat Shegaon. Ani Shegaon chi kachori. Mind-blowing. Born in Akola, roaming around Akola-Khamgaon-Shegaon, I know this feeling of simplicity, authenticity, spirituality and taste. Love it. Miss it. Ani hi ji filling asate to besan chi asate, you just need to properly stir it well to reduce that kacchapan you talking about.

Superb recipe as always. My favourite food from childhood is Shegaon chi kachori.
I make this by using bhavnagari or gathia, green chilies, ginger and dry spices you showed. I put them all in mixer jar and grind. It doesn't need further cooking. I don't use kasuri methi and garlic. Without this also it gave me 99% result. You can also try once. Thank you.

Thank you YFL team for preparing this. It’s nostalgic memory for me.I think filling you have tried have suggested is definitely worth trying. but I have tried it with soaking dry green peas, boiling and then grinding it. It was almost same.
