Simple and so easy...a super pattern to interchange colors with too...thank you
WOW.. now that one would get the fish out here jumpin' and fighting for it.. I hope this one is in the book.. I am willing to bet this will be my go to fly this year... good one Barry
Hi Tink, no not in the book that one, but another very similar.
@@Thefeatherbender oh well.. I still have the video and that is just as good.. How's the new book coming?
Amazing! It’s a joy to watch you tie, I have learned so much, I thank you sir!
Thanks FRH, its always good to know they are helpful.
Wow I really enjoy watching you tie. Awesome lesson thank you sir.
Thanks once again Jimmy.
Great pattern Barry Thanks.
Thanks Simon.
So clean, love this!!
Good job!!!
Good imitation!!!
👍👍👍👍👍
Many many thanks!
Front Fire, thank you very much for the product, super👍👍👍👍👍🐟🐟🐟👍👍👍👍
Отличная мушка!!Симпатяга))
Very nice Barry! I like tight (twisted) segmented bodies on my flies as I believe that it creates a more realistic silhouette than a fuzzy dubbed body. Cheers! Hank
Check Rope-dubbing for dubbing with taper and varied segmentation, then tie this nice pattern using it.
I bet a small dab of of uv resin on that wing case would be nice too?
What a beautiful and fundamental pattern...it could easily have some material changes and do multiple jobs!
Thanks very much...
Excellent work and result ,almost like a chunky Diawl Bach
Another unique pattern! The fish here have zero idea what this is and it still works great, although I used rayon for the thorax. Thanks for the lesson as usual, tight lines!
Thanks Owen, Good just out of curiosity where are you based?
In Hobbs, New Mexico. Southern part of America with lots of dry heat and little to no water except for a single river/reservoir I fish. Found fly fishing a year ago through awesome videos like yours and began catching fish I could never catch without live bait. Other than damsel and dragonfly nymphs there isn’t much bug life in the water.
I was finally able to do a couple tonight. I had to get material in first.
Lovely and simple.
Caddis flies are my favourite to fish with.
I have a question if you dont mind... Have you tried adding some dubbing, hare's or squirrel's fur in the antron thread... split it and add just a touch of fur and spin it... gives an amazing efect.
Cheers
@Mauri Vuorikoski if this is for me, yes i can, no problem. :)
Hi Oholi, No I haven't tried that but i will thanks!
@@Thefeatherbender cool stuff, i saw it long time ago tied by some Bulgarian tier i think.
good step, with greetings from Siberia
Hello Feathe Bender! I want to ask since you do every clip with that bobin holder, what model is and if you have any idea where from Europ/Bulgaria i can obtain one? Thank you in advance!
Hi It's a Marc Petitjean TT Bobbin holder and you can get one at most good tying stores:www.54deanstreet.it/shop/product/mpt25-petitjean-bobbin-mp-tt-7508?category=223
What is Antron and what can i substitute if I dont have Antron?
Hi Dana, Antron is a trilobal yarn that is available in many colours. It has many uses in fly tying. Its also very cheap and well worth having in a few key colours. Because its so widely available and cheap its not real worth substituting.
So this is a bit off the subject, what thread do you use for size 16-24 hooks?
Hi Gordon, sorry, I received your last comment about the book links via email but couldn't answer it for some reason! But all the links should be working now. Please let me know if you have any other problems.
❤
can this be done on smaller size hooks? I imagine, if so, you have to divide the yarn.
Hi Gordon, yeah your right, split the yarn and your on smaller hooks.
@@Thefeatherbender Yarns a bit more difficult to split at that length then I thought. LOL
Well, I'm a slow learner, i just have to use a shorter piece of yarn and it splits pretty easy :)
nice flye
Thanks Guy.
