I love tying nymph patterns, but this is one of the best ive seen in awhile! Cant wait to tie a few myself! Awesome video!
Yup all my favorite materials wrapped up into one fly . I like it :-)
This might be my new favorite tightline tutorial!
This thing looks awesome. I like the light underbody and the squirrel dubbing loop really nice additions.
What a great fly! Outstanding Tim! Thanks.
I won’t go past PT nymphs, this one’s a beauty, couple of nice tips in this video regarding tying. Thanks Tim.
That’s an exceedingly nice pattern there Tim. Thank you for another one dude.
I REALLY like that technique for the legs/thorax. I will be stealing that one!
Looks great for those big Tongariro River Browns. Thanks from down-under in NZ.
these videos are excellent... well described and easy to follow. thanks.
Ahhhhhh it's so good and an effective fly. TY TL
How can anyone give this a thumbs down? Awesome pattern!
You did an awesome job on that! I’ll have to try this variant.
Phreakin" phabulous Tim, good choice on that phine thread too. Thanks.
Really like the look of this one, Tim!
another great video, thank you Tim
Awesome variation! I've used pine squirrel dubbing in a split thread but want to try this out next for longer legs in thorax! Thanks Tim!
Very nice pattern and execution
Thanks for the share. I'll have to tie some of those beauties!
Best of the best as always !
very high quality camera work. great pattern
Late to the table, I know, but this pattern is now going to become my go-to PTN for the UK trout. It encompasses a lot of variants in one pattern.
Great looking fly!

Going in to Valentines Day single and alone, I do an internet search for "Phat and Phunky" singles near me and this is what I get...oh well....
69adrummer trust me you’re better off with the fly
saya suka lah,,
👍👍👍
Do you have a new Lens or what Makel me feel the Image is different, Tim?
If you had only one thread size, what would it be?
Is this pattern your own creation tim?
Could I use a hare's mask to dub the body instead?
cute
This is a beauty.
What kind of instrument did you use at 6:04?
Some kind of hackle players?
Can you give me the right name of it?
Tight lines and greetings from The Netherlands
they're called plunger style hackle pliers
Do you sell them?
I tried tying fly's but you can't hold there legs together to tie them
I just use krazy glue bud.
Sweet pattern- the cdc tool could have made easier work for this pattern, but it’s not a tool everyone has
ell me please. What hook numbers can be used?
Probably like 12-16 maybe 18
What is the small flat edge tool he uses to cut the thread?
Probably the sharpened butt end of his whip finisher, I do that to all mine, makes a nice cutoff for close.
@@brianstevens3858 Thank you!
@@coreymcgee8283 You're welcome.
@@coreymcgee8283 On a side note as it were , I also have a bodkin that has been tip sharpened at a 45 top and bottom, much better for the size 16 and smaller.
@@brianstevens3858 Great info, thank you again!
Nice fly, probably even better with a bead
Obar dan mozete li staviti hrvstski jezik.Hvala!
