Excellent breakdown once again. We are the last two standing on the Janiah Barker bus, but I believe she will be very effective in the W. If the Fever don’t get Satou I would go with Janiah. Keep putting out the great content.
Hunter, I love your content. I'm new to NCAA WBB and am not very sophisticated in BB strategy. I'm learning so much from you! My wife is Trojan, so this year we got season tickets to watch Juju. We love Kiki! However, to my untrained eye, the most straightforward opportunity seems to be scoring at the rim more efficiently. Whether put-backs after offensive rebounds or receiving the ball deep in the post. I understand Kiki is not stretching the opp defense with 3s, but with her size and athleticism, I would expect her to be a beast at the rim. I would love to get your analysis of Kiki’s scoring at the rim. Maybe I don't understand the game enough yet. Your thoughts, Sir?
Liatu King (ND) certainly isn't a franchise player...so no NBA team would be building their team around her. In other words, the coach wouldn't be relying on her as the first or second option on the vast majority of offensive plays. King is more of a high-level role player...almost like a Scottie Pippin who can play good defense, grab rebounds, hit open shots and drive occasionally. She's the glue that can fill gaps and a player who'd be welcomed by ANY team.
The only way KiKi drops out of the Lottery is if the player at TCU you don't talk about slides into one of those spots and Flau'jae Johnson declares for the 2025 WNBA draft. Nobody else currently would knock her out of the top Four. That's assuming Paige and Miles would be the other 2.

As the league grows and the talent is even higher at forward, with different skill set required such players will only become worse and worse and not needed as much, so Kiki is in this spot where if she dosnt 'update' her skill set to match the league might struggle to get starter minutes.
