    I tested the Slick Stick 45#(my own) & 50#, Anubis 58" in 40# & 65#, the ASH 25#, 35#, 45# & 50# (my own), Quick Stick 40#, Jackalope Malachit Hybrid 55#.
Now my main Hybridbow is a Michaelis Gazelle 62" Takedown in 50#. Great bow, fast and low Handschock.
But in the last time i looked after a small, cheap and short Hybrid Bow with low drawweight for fun shooting and i purchased the 58"Beli in 40#, because i made good experience with the oak ridge bows at all. I was very happy, because the grip of the bow is much better as the one from the Ash, especially on the backside of the grip. I highly recommend to shoot this Bow with a bodnik whisper string. With only two little buffs the noise desappiers nearly completely.

Thx for the nice review, i have the Ash in 25# and 40# and the Beli Lengthy in 35# at a drawlength of 32", shoot's great, no problems! Next buy is the Bearpaw hunter stick and the Falco Myth Vintage...verry curious to see the performance. Stay healty, greetings from the Belgian Ardennes.

Check the draw weight as I have an Ash marked as 30lb but is 34lb when I weighed it as it felt heavier than 30lb.

      How to weight?

    • @PurpleDracos
      @PurpleDracos ปีที่แล้ว

@@tomekbarka6565 You will need a bow scale or something similar like fishing scales and a way of measuring 28 inches or whatever the bow says the draw weight is measured at.
Connect the scale to the nocking point and use it to draw back the bow until you measure 28 inches from the bow string to the front of the bow.
If the scales you use not have a function for recording the highest weight you will probably need someone to read the scale as you draw it back.
Some people hang the scale from a hook then hang the bow from the scale at the nocking point and pull down on the bow handle until the measure the 28 inches

Thanks for the review. Are you able to do a review on the Oak Ridge Byron Recurve?

I find it strange to have bamboo limbs at that price, this and some of the buck trails which also have bamboo in them seem pretty decent. Seems like the trad bow are becoming cheaper by the day.

Have you tested Buck Trail - Walverine ? I think about one of these

Will you be looking to stock Bearpaw/Bodnik bows? Can’t find the Slick Stick here in Australia so was considering the Oak Ridge Ash or the Beli, but thinking the Slick Stick is still worth the extra money for the quality of workmanship and performance.

the bamboo or a maple does not matter. why should bamboo be quicker? the only 1 factor of influence to the speed is remember this: MASS TO POWER RELATION

Not to bad. But for the money I would rather the slick stick. 👍🏼🏹🇺🇸

A slick stick is over twice the price. Lovely bows (I had one), but also 58” which comes at a cost to anyone with medium to long draw (pinch). The quick stick is 62” I think, but that is about four times the price of this Oak Ridge. The Oak Ridge Ash Hybrid is amazing for the money. My son has one.

@@thomasstanworth yes the quick stick is definitely a lot more expensive but the slicks dick you can go the 60” for under $400 here in the US and the 30 year warranty. End it is truly everyone’s preference but I have this slick stick and I really like it. Thanks again for your videos and all you do for the archery world I really appreciate you take care and God bless keep up the good work.

In Germany the Beli is 140€ to 170€. The slick stick is aktually 450€ to over 500€. Things becoming really expensive here.
