I've been watching van conversions all day and this is perhaps the most impressive. I think it's the only 4x4 I've seen so far, and it's definitely the only one with a washing machine. Love the winged garage door - including the shower enclosure. I thought I was sold on the idea of a dedicated rear bed (as opposed to convertible seating), because I suspect one would tire of setting it up every evening. But the two singles would work in a pinch, and converting to full-size seemed quick and easy. I even liked the position and size of the TV. The 2nd fridge that can serve as a freezer is a great addition. Great lighting throughout. Perhaps the only things I'd add would be a wooden rooftop deck (perhaps fold out to maximize space) and two hammock chairs suspended from the roof racks. Both of those options I've seen on the Van Life Builds channel. One of their conversions also had dual folding electric bikes secured in the garage, which I really liked as well.
I've seen many vans, and I must say it is definitely a great one. I love the garage. I'm a massage therapist and do outcalls, so having a washing machine for my dirt towels would be a god sent. The European and Asians are just better at designing small places. America is having to play catch up. However, I could never afford this one.
52 gallons is barely enough for bathing, toilet, drinking, cooking, rinsing, water for brushing/face washing for 1 person while boondocking out in the wilderness/desert. The washing machine y itself would go through 52 gallons in no time. I think it would only be useful connected to city water at an RV park. But usually, RV parks have washing machines available anyway. A luxury for sure but for me not a priority. The priority is getting out deep into nature which this rig is very capable of doing. I would love it, minus the washing machine. There are smaller more portable washing machines available that will suffice for small loads like hand towels, underwear.

Another good review Peter, of a very good and well designed van. If I won the lottery and money was no object, I would buy this van and tour the world in it as it seems capable enough. Brilliantly done!
It's 130,000 pounds for the base price. However I'm not British but in America the Winnebago Revel is not as good and much smaller and is nearly 200,000 USD. I did some math and when I added most of the upgrades it's nearly the same price as the revel but way bigger and more luxurious.
Agreed that bathroom could have better functionally and esthetically. May not be my favourite color overall but how awesome is this functionally. Definitely one of the best ever created so far for this size. Wonder how much is it..
Isn't it amazing, when you actually get paid to do a job that you truly love. Mine was the best and most humbling of all, it was having the privilege getting to know and transporting my clients to their respective day centres and for me me it's the only job I've ever had that I would've done free if I could've afforded it. Even when I was away on holiday I left my mobile so the relief driver could phone me if they got lost, they were then and remain now my best friends.
Is the tire enough to withstand all the loads from the van/equipment? looks a bit small compared to the van and all. I have not much knowledge about tires so genuinely asking
Excellent. May I suggest that this camper van’s next generation would have a roof hatch that opens from the inside onto a roof rack that can hold up two to four people. Must be a good platform for stargazing and a 360-degree view of the landscape. Congratulations on a work well done. Cheers!

I would get rid of the side slider too and go for a 30" aircraft style entry door... Also, either a second alternator or a B2B so you can draw 30 amps - at least off the alternator to your house batteries... Mercedes is the premier chassis and will continue to be going forward...
I definitely agree with the electrical systems since I feel like there should be more batteries and a better inverter. I also would like it if most of the systems were combined into one digital system. I feel like the sliding door is great and definitely dont need to be changed but this is just an opinion.

I would love to own one and live in it full time - fed up with paying rent, who isn't? Thanks very much for a great review and for going through everything in detail. Now fingers crossed my lotto numbers come up.
Lovely van, but internally it looks a little hemmed-in and lacking in floorspace for an expedition vehicle which would spend a lot of its time off-grid. I prefer the simplicity of the Murvi Morocco/Morello/Pimento layout, but obviously that's just for 2 people and their dog. The Murvi layout seems more spacious for expedition useage, where you need a lot of elbow room inside for getting changed out of outside clobber; angling gear, wetsuits etc. in the warm and dry. At 6' 4" I find most van conversions a liitle tight on space, but they are prefereable for weekend jaunts around the UK than coachbuilts. Maximising the internal space is more important to me but many converters have gone with the up-front lounging/dining layout, so it must be popular. I would still love to give this one a try because it looks so complete as an all-rounder and if you can afford one, it would probably be something you'd keep for many, many years or even forever.
This van is certainly a masterpiece. I absolutely love it but I would change out and upgrade some stuff. I don't feel like there is enough batteries for this van. Also I think they should also upgrade the inverter to a higher amp. I also think that the roof should be more flat and have the roof racks replaced by the 2022 revel kind where there could be more storage. It would be nice if most of the systems were integrated into one digital system where you can control the van with. The garage looks too small to fit my mountain bike so I would remove the outside shower holder and raise the bed so there's more storage in the garage. It can also have a front bumper with a winch and a reenforced rear bumper so the van does not get as damaged if you get hit. I think those were the most important ones that I think should be upgraded and I hope the next version will have some of these stuff. However it's still a great van. These are just minor issues that I think it has but overall still probably the most unique van on the market. Can't wait for the new model.
With such a long van I would have liked to see a better solution for the 3rd and 4th bed, especially the last one. couldn't imagine sleeping on that for a longer period of time. Otherwise looks great.
You'd need to speak to RP Motorhomes. I think you'd be looking at £180k to £200k but their order book is currently full and the next batch of orders will be for 2025 delivery.
RP is getting huge interest at the NEC caravan and motorhome show this week. Those delivery dates are going to get longer... New 4x4 system on the Sprinter sounds exciting, though
Many impressive elements. But it does seem cramped and claustrophobic. A lighter decor and color scheme would have been more airy. Long wheel base vans should be dual rear wheel for stability and true offroading. Making that bed day in day out would be too much. I still say a fixed bed is the way to go. I love that integrated gas/induction hob/stove top, you don’t see many of those. No mention of air conditioning. I don’t fancy traveling in the summer on just fans. But I suppose the UK travelers don’t need to worry as much about summer heat. Would have preferred to see an outward folding shower door for increased elbow room. That indoor shower looks super cramped. Love that coffee maker nook. All in all some very impressive design elements that can be adapted and perfected.
How much do you think the push to renewable energy will affect the motorhome market in the next 10 years? Just afraid diesel will be pressured more by the uk gov through carbon taxes or such.
There will be a lot of petrol and diesel vehicles on the road for a long time yet. I think current estimates are that only half the cars on the road will be electric by 2035. By that time you could have had a lot of trips in your diesel motorhome...
@@peterv3642 yes but how much road taxes will you be paying it allready goinging up . im paying over 500 ponds now for mercedes ml diesel, this is how the goverment is doing it now
Mercedes do a suspension upgrade kit for this van. with much higher clearance then already fitted plus there is a wheel arch modification too that allows much bigger wheels and tyres for much better off-road capability
Nice build :) ,, However, its listed as being upgraded to 4050kg, with a 600kg payload available ? and rides on rims that are rated at 3300lb (1500KGS) ???
It an amazing van. Sorry about the but is there anyway they could have just had an electric drop down double bed slung over the drivers cab. Sleeping front to back possibly. The 3rd and 4th sleeping solution is a bollocks. You could even have the option of a pop up sleeping accommodation with a foley sprung mattress, like Adria have in their vans. But and amazing camper van none the less.
Hi, be careful what you wish for! We ordered a rebellion 2 in july2021 and paid £25000 deposit, which helped them survive Covid lockdown etc. When the Sprinter arrived from Germany we were so excited until they cancelled our order! Apparently they took exception to me questioning a £19000 uplift in price, despite my agreeing to discussing a new price. We thought we had a signed contract! Don’t think we were the only ones. New clients = higher price!
Oh dear what were they thinking when it came to having an out side shower and as for the front beds ~ well a complete after thought. Looks nice on the outside, however the designers have obviously never done much off grid camping. For an outlay of 135k this is a hefty price to pay for something which should have offered so much more...
only if we could have that in the US, I would buy it right away I like the storyteller beast, but I like this better (upgrading lithium batteries to at least 800 wh)
@@neilkite 200000+ USD is for all the upgrades. The base price I'm pretty sure is around 130,000 pounds. For the rebellion 4. I still think this is definitely worth it because the Winnebago Revel and the storyteller beast is near 200,000 USD and it's about the price of a fully upgraded rebellion. Definitely worth buying rebellion.

Yes, really love those Murvi layouts - still some of the best of the market. But this something completely different, thanks to that huge garage.
@@MotorhomeCampervan - Yes, the garage will appeal to many, and my wife would have somewhere to put all her shoes and handbags on a weekend away.
Nicely shot. Excellent spot on production.
Brilliant…absolutely brilliant!
Cheers mate 🥂
I swear European Rv's is the best build best designed 👌
Amazing design; the best I’ve seen in a Class B, so far. 👍👏👏👏
Yes we agree
13:36 soft close drawers. Nice touch. And yet they forgot a microwave lol.
The buyer of this example didn't want a microwave. You can have one if you want it
Superb van but so little storage inside for what is supposed to be a long duration vehicle ???
It's still only a 7m panel van, so I don't think storage is lacking - after all, there's that huge garage
Maybe not a true 4 berth but a 2 berth. You don't want 4 people in that van that size anyway.
For this E-X-A-C-T van in this video; with nothing more and nothing less than just shown, how much does it cost?
You'd need to speak to RP Motorhomes. I think you'd be looking at £180k to £200k but their order book is currently full and the next batch of orders will be for 2025 delivery.
Very nice presentation and like your new look and the, as always, very informative explanation.
2022 slot already full 😢, waiting price for 2023 February slot for all new sprinter 2023.
Wow, My best friend, I liked the video very much, thanks you for sharing, stay safe, stay blessed
@@peterv3642 yes but how much road taxes will you be paying it allready goinging up . im paying over 500 ponds now for mercedes ml diesel, this is how the goverment is doing it now
Expedition vehicle? Lots of lovely toys to go wrong! Love it but totally OTT :)
Mercedes do a suspension upgrade kit for this van. with much higher clearance then already fitted plus there is a wheel arch modification too that allows much bigger wheels and tyres for much better off-road capability
Can you drive it on a standard car license in the UK? In other words is it 3.5 tonnes or less?
No, it's 4,050kg, so you need a C1 licence. You might just get the smaller RP Rebel under 3,500kg. Or try the Hymer Grand Canyon Crossover.
@@MotorhomeCampervan is there a way you could theoretically strip out 500kg if you were to buy it?
Nice build :) ,, However, its listed as being upgraded to 4050kg, with a 600kg payload available ? and rides on rims that are rated at 3300lb (1500KGS) ???
Isn't that per wheel? 4 x 1,500kg = 6,000kg.
My understanding is that these wheels are specially designed for heavier vehicles
This will be my next home for this summer!
Great, fantastic actually.. but the shower is not a really a shower.. not in the UK at least!
You mean the outside one? That's maybe for a quick hose off after a day on the beach or mountain biking. You can shower inside too
@@MotorhomeCampervan I see! Thanks for the clarification, makes a big difference. Do you have these in the UK?
Coming back here as soon as I win the lotto.
10kv litium ion and 6kv alternators plus if you can add 1kv a solar panel with will be perfect for this van
Can I maybe get a link for the front hanging bed? Is it available separately? Thanks
It's RP's own design. Very much doubt they's sell it on its own
It an amazing van.
I'm sure RP could do a pop-top but then you'd be sleeping in an uninsulated space. There's always a compromise!
Impressive - like the kitchen - like the sleeproom - don‘t see the need for the tent ….. but anyway: great Van - excellent!
How was the extended high roof reinforced? I believe that to be fiberglass and with weight it would crack.
It's the standard Mercedes extra-high roof
Hi, be careful what you wish for! We ordered a rebellion 2 in july2021 and paid £25000 deposit, which helped them survive Covid lockdown etc. When the Sprinter arrived from Germany we were so excited until they cancelled our order! Apparently they took exception to me questioning a £19000 uplift in price, despite my agreeing to discussing a new price. We thought we had a signed contract! Don’t think we were the only ones. New clients = higher price!
Prices of all components have risen so fast that I doubt that manufacturers like RP could hold prices at pre-Covid levels and stay in business
Oh dear what were they thinking when it came to having an out side shower and as for the front beds ~ well a complete after thought. Looks nice on the outside, however the designers have obviously never done much off grid camping. For an outlay of 135k this is a hefty price to pay for something which should have offered so much more...
Exactly what I thought.
only if we could have that in the US, I would buy it right away
I like the storyteller beast, but I like this better (upgrading lithium batteries to at least 800 wh)
£160000.00 that's a lot of cash! over 210 thousand dollars! Lottery win required
Base price £109.995 + £10,500 (sliding bathroom!) Then add sat dish auto (3,295) and £5250 self levelling off road pack...£2585 alloys....and so on....but if you have the money? This looks amazing!!!! Prices from their downloadable price list !
Love one of these to use at weekends...!
What’s a sliding bathroom?
What is the combined mpg for that beast? What is the price on the road as shown in this ad?
I reckon you'll be looking at low 20s mpg, but all depends on how you drive
So where do I buy this beast & how much ?
Direct from RP Motorhomes. Price around £160,000
