John Reid is an absolute legend and with Jason at the controls not waiting for a good hit, I'm sure this match will be a smashfest if they get their drive ESCs worked out. I really like the battle-scarred stealth-mode look though, hope it shows up well on camera! Maybe should've painted the plastic holes filling them with luminous or blacklight-reflective paint instead of just outlining them, it's very hard to see in the testbox footage :(
I absolutely love all the different configs your team brings. You put a lot of effort and thought into optimizing your setup/trying new things and it shows. Rooting for you tomorrow!
Good question! We did consider this, but we thought that was less likely than if we had wheel cutouts and Beta directly hit the wheels, which would absolutely explode a wheel. Everything is a tradeoff
Shatter is my fav robot! The omni wheels and giant axe are so cool. Just imagine if it was double sided and could go both ways. I still dont know how shatter has not won the nut already it is the best bot!
Nice to see some of the behind the scenes stuff. Shatter is one of my favorite bots. Tough loss, looks like the forks worked against it. No shame to lose to a bot like Beta though.

The wheels aren't the problem, Shatter has been using those mecanum wheels for years now. However this season BotsFC upgraded the drivetrain (motors) a whole bunch and it's so incredibly fast now that it makes controlling the bot very difficult.
I have loved this bot since day 1. The motion is so cool and the hammer is rediculois.
You really, really really needed spring downforce on those forks, as well as more of them. Beta has some of the worst ground game ever.

You should put less big forks all over the perimeter of the robot to go in tandum with the omni drive

i am vary excited for this fight. I got to sit by moose's family in the stands. i cant wait to see in it on tv.
