Hi. I got the lyre! :)
Now, I want to learn how to play it. Where do I start? What do you recommend? I have O experience, no music knowledge. TIA!

Hi Gigi, we have a playlist on lyre basic including reading music that would be a good help. Patreon also has resources available if you are interested. Joining the Facebook group will help you get answers and support from members. ❤️

Ok. I’ll do that. My lyre only has 7 strings. Is your book only for 16 and more strings? Thank you for responding! :)

@@GigiFl The Learn to Play the Lyre Book song pieces works better for lyres with 16 or more strings but will still be a benefit for learning basic music theory and reading. Most 7 string are pentatonic lyres and are wonderful for improvisation, relaxation and worry free playing. I would suggest you start by watching the Pentatonic playlists. It will help you understand the pentatonic scale. On my pentatonic lyres I tend to use the pluck technique. There is large gap between strings and it makes it easier to play this way.

I also have this PDF available through BMC buymeacoffee.com/lyreharp/e/93360 This will give you some some basic information on pentatonic instruments as well as some songs to learn.
