Josh is often teased to be SB19's recruiter. He invited Ken and Justin to audition. Stell and Josh were members of a dance group named Se-Eon. Justin and Josh were also groupmates in Zero to Hero. Ken would also compete against them so they were acquaintances even before SB19. Josh would often say in interviews that he was impressed by the passion that Ken and Justin have had. And Josh admired Stell so much as a dancer. Pls do watch The Juans' interview with them so you'd have deeper insights of their individual struggles. Thank you for supporting SB19.
Let me share with you one achievement SB19 and A'TIN made. We outthroned BTS, for one time, as the #1 Billboard Top Trending Song for seven weeks straight with the song Bazinga. Butter by BTS was the longest that time and we were able to prove that David can beat Goliath. Truly a proud moment for us. That was enough for us. 🥲
They got the nomination because they were always on the top social chart which depends on how much they are talked about and us fans, I remember, even in the most random tweet, we would tag SB19. It was a very risky yet clever idea for them back them to invest in gaining more fans because they actually did free concerts in 10 different locations. Since it is free, some fans would bring their friends and all. It payed off because now, despite having relatively small fandom in comparison to some kpop groups and other western artists, they still managed to get the nomination because of how dedicated and united their relatively small fandom is.
Every time I watch the Toni Talk interview of SB19 I can't help myself but cry. I've been their fan since the day that they have nothing. Congratulations Mahalima for all of your achievements! 💙
Kpop is big in the Philippines but some may be unaware or may have just forgotten that we've had sing/dance groups for decades. Some had moderate success but some, unfortunately, didn't last long.
They went viral once because of their dance practice video which literally paved their way to stardom. Before that, they had less than 20 people in the audience whenever they perform but when they went viral they had thousands in the audience during their shows. They were also able to sold out concerts! Now, what drew me in to this group is that since they went viral they never faltered and instead kept wowing people with their talents. When they released their second album (Pagsibol) after their viral era, they gained even international nominations and recognitions proving that they're not just a one-hit wonder. It seemed like all they really needed was a chance to show the world what they can do, and they haven't stopped surprising people since. 🥹
I'm so glad Stell stayed. Josh came back and brought everyone else back. I'm glad they had that resolve to stay and fight for their dream even more despite the circumstances. And now, we can see them fly even more with their amazing music and talents! 💯🔥🙏🏼
Their song WHAT brought SB19 to BBMA 2nd placer in the top social 50.. their hard work paid off,, you can check the WHAT MV and What the making Film episodes 1-5.. I'm sure you will be amazed ... thank you for diving more on the interviews.. please consider also Kwento Juan episode 5 & 6.... I've known them and love their personality through these interview.. Thank for appreciating SB19
the bond that these guys established is already unbreakable by anything and anyone up to this point. it's crazy to think how they were actually meant to find each other. they were like the missing peace of each other. they wouldn't be able to continue if they have someone missing. and just look how far these guys have come and they still and definitely will have each other's back no matter what happens 💁🏻♀️
I would suggest watching their interview at The Juans' YT channel. SB19 were the guests in their podcast called KwentoJuan. The Juans, btw, is a Filipino band and SB19's brothers from another mother, so to speak. In that interview, each member shared their challenges and how it was like as trainees back then. For me, it was more in-depth than Toni's interview. It touched on the personal struggles and motivations of each of the members. And they were honest and openly vulnerable about them. Thank you for doing reactions on SB19, abt their music and abt their journey. As an A'Tin, I appreciate the views and thoughts you're sharing with us.💙💙💙💙💙
Filipinos are big kpop fans. I guess one of the reasons why they hate SB19 is that they don't look like a super gorgeous idol group like the ones in kpop. It was like they thought SB19 does not have the right to make it coz They're not beautiful enough. Sadly here in the Philippines, beauty tops talent. That is a sad reality. But the way SB19 fought to be on top made me love them more. I hope you could eventually react to their KwentoJuan. They told their heartfelt stories there.
Like I commented the other part 1 video, you MUST watch the Kwento Juan ep 5&6. They were interviewed individually and for some context that podcast was released after their What? MV comeback last 2021 before they were nominated in Billboards so yeAh
Hope you can also react to their Go Up dance practice video (the one that went viral) and there's another Go Up video where they did the 2x speed challenge.
I’ve seen this interview a few times and I still get goosebumps every time. You can feel their sincerity and passion. And their humility is really touching. Going viral is one thing. Sustaining the hype and even exceeding expectations is another thing. And they’re doing it. Exceptionally. 💙💙💙💙💙 Thank you, sir, for giving your time to get to know them.
I totally love everything that you react. Everything that you said makes a lot of sense if you're reading my comment you're the man thank you for liking SB19 I have sooo much love and respect to Gidkiddad ❤️❤️❤️
Awww Josh, why do this to us? 😅 you were in the middle of your sentence and it cut! I guess part 3 is on my line up first thing tomorrow. Love your comments and perspectives on how these boys have gotten to where they are now. And because of all the trials and hardships they have been through, they are achieving their dreams and goals, not just for themselves but also their families, fellow artists and helping our country be recognized worldwide as well. They are such wonderful and humble boys. I witnessed that first hand when I watched their concert here in San Francisco. Proud of you Mahalima 💙💙💙💙💙
Hi Josh. Thank you so much for sincerely trying to get to know our beloved SB19. Sadly, there are a lot of bashers trying to bring them down. However, we, their fans are staunchly defending them. I'm glad you and the rest of the GKD team are supporting them. Much love and respect. ❤️ Btw, Felip just dropped his teaser of Rocksta' which will come out on the 19th. #sewerpop 😊🤘🤘
What’s special with these talented young men is the fact no big tv station sponsored them unlike other boy or girl groups backed up by popular media stations. They really achieved their success the hard way. They also Love and support each other. Now all tv stations want to guest them.
Thank you for your effort in really getting to know them. Behind their great talent is a great story as well. I hear you oftentimes say that you love a real underdog story. SB19 were underdogs who worked hard to get to where they are and now they are hailed as PPop Kings for paving the way for other Filipino talents! Can’t wait for part 3!!!
One reason I Stan them is because their goal is not just for themselves but for the Philippine Music industry and ultimately the Philippine economy. I think it’s because they personally know the reality of having loved ones leaving the Philippines to find better working opportunities. They are aiming to make the Philippine economy so robust that Filipinos don’t need to leave to have their loved ones have a better life.
Try to watch their interview with Korea Times. It will give you a glimpse of when they started, how they blew up and how they are after they got viral.
Hi josh i am recommending to pls watch their Korean Times interview...SB19 that time were starting to be recognized..u can see how humble are SB19...until now 💙🇵🇭
Josh has a compassion to others eventhough that time he need also the money he don't mind . Because in his heart he wanted to help ken . I salute josh for what he's done to ken and justin. The man has a big heart to help people in need may our good Lord continue bless you i love you josh 💙💙💙🍡🍡🍡
Crazy really, who would have thought, this would happen just a single tweet and look at them now. I think it's fate, it's destiny combined with their overflowing talent and being so humble and respectful to all people around them. I just admire and love them, and feeling so proud of them💙
This gets more interesting. I hope there's already a part 3. Thank you by the way for making this reaction. I'm just a new fan of SB19 so Im really interested to know the artists behind the music.
I've been hearing their band name SB19 way back but really didn't give much attention, I just heard some news about them here and there. But recently they're making waves and had to check them out, and I'll say that they are very talented. I really enjoyed the Wish Bus Bazinga, Mapa and Laluna. Also watched Disney performance by Stell. Will check out more of their contents in YT.
Hope you can do an rv on SB19 Forte with 4th Impact. They performed with live orchestra and awesome virtual choir. It was for the benefit of Batig Music Foundation which they support. Enjoy watching!
I really liked the way you dissect SB19 videos be it MVs, interviews, vlogs, or clips. I admire your intellectual insights into each. Perhaps when we invest our time digging into heartwarming real life 'rags-to-riches' stories of people , we immediately turn on that 'go-for-the-underdog' type of instinct and have that protective desire to embrace them. SB19's Pablo, Josh, Stell, Ken and Justin's diverse & humble backgrounds are what attracted me to stan the group. And I'll support them whatever it takes in this lifetime. Your RVs are much appreciated. Thank you.
Ken's group used to compete with Josh's and Stell's group called Se-Eon at that time. When their previous company was looking for one more member to complete the group (there were actually two more trainees remaining), Josh said he checked his friends list on Facebook and saw Ken's name in there. He knew Ken could sing so he immediately messaged him and booked his plane ticket. Finally, when their company was about to eliminate two trainees because they essentially were looking for one more member, Josh really tried his best to convince them that Ken should be part of the group because he believed in Ken's capabilities and it would be a waste to just let him go given that Ken gave up so much, and left the countryside with nothing. Ken finally became a member of SB19. They truly have different purposes in their group. Stell is really sentimental. He stayed because he believed in himself and what he's capable of.
Nothing beats watching the actual interviews and content from the boys, like what you said, and if you want to get to know them deeper. I became a fan before “documentaries” about them existed but not early enough to say that I was with them since the beginning, but getting to know them slowly yet thoroughly through material provided by the boys themselves made me feel that I was part of their journey. I also had fun observing them and getting to know their personalities through their gestures, their jokes and subtle interactions which people would have missed if they didn’t watch the vlogs, interviews, etc. That’s how I was able to choose my bias, btw. Anyway, thanks for giving these interviews a go. I hope you find them interesting and endearing enough on their own, just as many of us, older fans did.
hi, it's my first time here in your act, i binge watch all of your reactions to SB19, If you want to see a summary life documentary of SB19 LIFE/JOURNEY i recommend casual chuck self made documentaries,a big fan boy of sb19. - love love a'tin😊
So true. They were already individually interconnected with each other even before they debut as SB19. Josh and Stell were already friends since 2014 and maybe even before that. They were already pasrt of a Kpop Dance Cover group called Se-on. Apparently, their dance cover group were so good that they did not only win national dance cover competitions but also in various international dance competitions in South East Asia and in South Korea. They even got the chance to meet BTS after winning in South Korea. For Justin, he was brought to the group by Josh as well. Justin and Josh are part of another kpop dance cover group called Zero to Hero. So when Josh knew that the company is still looking for trainees, he informed Justin about the auditions and he got in. For Ken, he's always been so vocal about admiring Josh and his group way back their dance competion days. Ken had his own dance cover group called Amigo 7 and apparently, his group was also so good that they'd often clash with Stell's and Josh's Se-on during competitions on who's gonna win. Eventhough they were competitors, Ken had always openly said that he'd want to be trained by Josh and learn from him during that time. Seeing his passion, Josh immediately thought of Ken when he learned that their company is still looking for trainees. Funny how these 4 lads were all into dancing when they met each other. Who would have expected that they were not only very good dancers but also turn out to be vocal monsters? For Pablo, he also knew the others because he'd see them in the competitions but he wasn't a part of any group, he was a soloist and would compete in a different category as a singer/rapper. Pablo even said that he was told by the company that he would debut as a solo artist and didn't know that he will be placed in a group. But then everything just comes to place. The 5 of them were all trained for more than 3 years ans finally debut as SB19. It's like all of them were fated to meet and other and be together. Learning about them will not only make you love and appreciate them more but also inspire you to just keep pushing and grinding for yohr goals. ❤❤❤
Watch Cashual Chuck's videos about SB19's history. He has a playlist of the videos he made about their beginnings. Really helpful to fill in gaps to questions not answered in some interviews.
I guess it’s big deal that people make bad comments or reviews on your talent because…and this is sad but it’s the reality, some people are happy to make bad comments or pour out their negativities, but deep inside, they are not happy if you’re happy. They haven’t realised how karma comes back on you if you genuinely feel happiness for others’ achievements. Soon…maybe but hopefully they’re awakened especially at this time.
Part 1,2 finish.excited for part 3.i realy love watching SB19 content so inspiring.this set of young men is so admirable.all out support is truely desserve.
I truly appreciate for your time getting to know more about SB19. Surely you will love them not only being talented and passionate about their craft but their humility as well.

❤❤❤
Can't wait for part 3. Thanks Josh for this. 😊❤️
Happy that you were able to react to this. Aside from music, their stories made others become their fans.

Part 3!!!!!!!!!!!❤❤❤
I love these interview reactions so much! Can't wait for the next more! 🩵
I think all of your questions will be answered if you watch CashualChucks short docu series about them
