I remember that old video where you made the trellis and have been wanting to try the same. I think it is going to be the year that i try it as well. Great video!
I have done this with my limelight several times. I have also pinned a small low growing branching to the ground and gotten multiple rooted cuttings from it. Such a fun activity!
It’s amazing what plants will do! I’m working on some hydrangea cuttings. Some take and some don’t but either way I love getting something back from the garden
I love your hydrangea standards. I'm looking for the limelight prime or another pinky winky. I'm hoping to snag one when my local nursery has the half off perennials this fall.
I am trying to propagate all of my hydrangeas this year but putting a lot of focus on my Annabelle’s since you can sell those. Would love to give people baby Annabelle plants next year for only a couple dollars each haha. The others I am propagating are still patented so I am only doing them for my own yard but fingers crossed I will get some to take!
Fantastic video! I have an Annabelle that I have tried to root from cuttings, so many times. I have failed with each one. Are the Annabelle’s able to be propagated? Your garden amazes me every time you drop a video! I never get tired of meandering through! 💜
It’s so dry here and been trying to propagate maples and most lost leaves. It’s good you are getting rain. We just keep feeding the drought. Lol, you started video talking low like you were about to snip someone else’s dahlias😂. Nice large flowers. The ones from seed did not get large that I grew.
That one did not get overwintered at all, the size of that container mattered and it was left outside, these new ones I got the 1 G size containers are very small and I want to give them a chance, but if the pot size was bigger I would not bother taking them inside in my unheated garage.
I grew hydrangea plants from seeds, started in January. I had a small flat container about one inch of dirt. I scattered the seeds from the flower and lightly put dirt over them. Then kept them moist during the winter. They are about 6 inches tall now in September. I transplanted them into their own pot when they were one inch high.

You can never have to many Hydrangeas 😊

I haven't tried Anabelles...yet, maybe that would be a good one for next spring.
Love hydrangeas. I want to try this!

I knew you’d do it! Thanks for the inspiration.
So beautiful.Hiw long a VASE LIFE do ya get from The Dalias?
HI Patricia. Perhaps a week. I grow them too. They are beautiful.
A good week if I change the water at leas once.
How do you over winter your first cutting? The one in the large pot. Garage too?

Beautiful!!! Ive never had dahlias!!!❤❤❤
You should get a couple of tubers next year, you will be hooked!
The patent on limelight expired two years ago, you can propagate and sell as many as you choose to (or not).
When you over winter the starts in the garage, do they get light and how often do you water them?
They will be dormant, and it will be cold, I probably will get them water 2-3 times for the winter time.
I love it
Beautiful job. ❤️❤️❤️❤️.
Thank you! 😊
Laynlay hydrangeas are beauties
Check out Tracy’s Home and Garden, she does this all the time! She has one now that she started from limelight seed, I’ve been trying but no luck?

Oh! By the way patten was lifted from limelight last year 🎉❤
Great video 🍃🌺🍃
Thank you! 🤗
Can you do this with a regular macrophylla hydrangea?
Probably! I have never done it so I can’t really tell you.
🌳🪴🌳 BEAUTIFUL ✂️🌳
Wow what a fertile thumb you have 😄
Amazing 💚
Didn't the patent on Limelight Hydrangeas expire ?
🤷🏻♀️🤷🏻♀️🤷🏻♀️🤷🏻♀️
Yes, a year or two ago.
