Fascinating story. Your granny clearly played a role in influencing your love of vintage style. By the way I just watched and shared your David Lynch tribute shot by Elisa Miller. Damn fine !
10 minutes in. It is so. Brand new to me. To hear someone else say that they wear this many different styles every day. I was beginning to think I had something wrong with me. I’m so glad I found someone that I can relate to in this sense 🥰
I’m a 13 year old, and I love dressing vintage, I finally did a good hairstyle yesterday but lots of other kids at school were so horrid to me when I did vintage hair at school , as it always goes poofy
Hey! I am a bit late but keep doing what you love! I am in my early 20s and when I was your age I let my mom do my vintage styles and got bullied for it as well. But I never listened to them because anyone can do modern! And I bet you rock your vintage look🌷
Oooh love that sleep black Audrey look. I was wearing the high rise black pants in the 80s. 🤣 Loves seeing you as a little girl and growing into such a stylish beauty. And I love your lipstick 😍
I have been watching and enjoying your videos fir quite a while but only just seen this one. Really interesting to know your fashion journey . I am a guy in the UK . I remember these fashions first tine around ... Showing my sge now ! I find your videos fascinating and delightful to watch. Thank you for making them and putting a smile on my face x
I love this Bee! I totally hear you re waking up and wanting to dress however you feel and not being constrained to a particular look or identity. I've had people comment on how I am constantly changing my look (from 50s to 70s to 80s and back again) and how they "can't pin me down", as if that is a negative thing and as though my style is fickle! Truthfully though, I have all of these versions of myself that I want to express differently at any given moment and don't feel as though I owe it to anyone to retain any continuity. IDOWHATIWANT! And so do you...you go girl! x
You are amazing! I just discovered your channel. I feel like I’ve tried copying different YT/IG influencers, but I’m kind of discovering which decades I really love and how that influenced me as a child. I watched so many films that took place in the 1920s, 1930s, 1940s. I grew up on old Hollywood and vintage noir and black and white films. I think the 1930s is my favorite decade to emulate, with its design lines. But I love a mixture. Some days I want to look like a 1930s archeologist on Safari, other days I want to frolic in a butterfly Meadow in a long dress. I loved seeing your journey!!
This was my favourite part of the journey! So much fun exploring all these new fashion concepts and mastering MUAH skills. It sounds like you're enjoying it! I love how you describe your outfits!
Hi Bee im from Hamilton New Zealand. We had a retro shop here and the clothes were so beautiful. I used to go in with my wife. It's a pity she didn't get anything it would have suited her. I love the vintage look as the women always looked nice and smart. These days the fashion it doesn't seem like they care how they look. That also goes for men as well. Also your lipstick looks good. Take care and thankyou for your fashions.
I'm interested in the 60s right now, but I started my vintage fascination with the 40s! I tried pincurls before I realized that I didn't have the time for it every night, and so I have the long hippie hair now. I still love all vintage styles, though (love a good red lip)
It was fun and beautiful to see you growing up in a single video! I have always been a fan of Bell Bottoms. I am almost 50 now and I deeply appreciate 1950's style of dressing and makeup. That Classic Elegant Look. Yes, I feel most feminine and confident when I dress up elegantly.
Love seeing all the looks and transformations!!! I have learned so much from your channel and thank you soo much for being such a big inspiration🙏🙏🙏. Love your puppy
Aww baby Bee pics! One of the things I love about your style is that you do your own thing; no matter what era(s) you do, you make them your own. It’s an impressive skill.
I love videos like this! It’s so cool that you loved glamour even as a kid playing dress up, it sounds so fun!!! I was always pretending to be a destitute, parentless child escaping kidnapping of some sort 😭 Not sure what that says about me but it’s probably best to stay ignorant 🤣
Loved those pictures of you! I'm a new subscriber and so happy I found your channel. I'm excited to learn more about vintage fashion from a fellow Australian enthusiast :)
Loved watching your style evolution, you were so sweet as a child...it's great to look back and see all our difference looks and the things that influenced us at that time..My parents has an antique shop so I was always wearing vintage from a young age mostly drawn to Victorian and always loved costumes and dressing up, but later in my early teens more 70's as I had 3 older sisters that had a very bohemian style really Stevie nicks that really influenced me.... I used to get teased at school for wearing vintage...I mostly love 20s 40s 60s 70s now.. it's fun to switch between eras.. Always love your style you look incredible in all eras. xx
I love the 40, 50 and 60th. Since I am young. But I was too shy. People told me you are too thin , than you are too big too old. Today I don't care. I war what I like.
This is really great story! I loved seeing your earlier looks. I think being fat made it so I always had to shop at stores that weren't always on trend with youths but honestly I never had an issue looking stylish or put together. I just really like more of the vintage silhouettes and I find they suit me better so I lean in to that. I don't get to buy a lot true vintage because its hard to find my waist and hip size but that doesn't deter me.

Also, I never believed when someone said something was heaven on earth. Then you mentioned a hoarder room full of vintage costumes
Hahaha but it's a mere memory 😭

@@juliane2102 thank you! I have decided that I’m not going to listen to the guys at my school and this comment was really kind😊

I like real 70s bell bottoms but the 90s ruined so much good fashion of the past IMO 🤣

Yes, everyone has something to say. But you gotta enjoy living your life for yourself! Good on you!
Great video. Do you have tutorial videos on all the hairstyles you wear in the photos?
For most of them, yes 😄 They're either in my Hair Tutorial playlists here on TH-cam or on my IGTV. Xx
Hey, also wanted to ask you what chinese medicine you used that helped with fibroids?
I absolutely love the gold earrings! Where did you find them?
They are from Misia Mae. You can have 10% off with this code too "briony_townsend_" 💕 www.misiamae.com?ref=briony_townsend_
