This video was so helpful! First, I love the softer "everyday" vintage look. It's much more wearable for me than more stylized versions. Second, with the close ups, I felt I could really see everything you were doing. And I loved that it felt more "real girl doing her makeup" than most TH-cam tutorials, which feel very inauthentic to me. I'm going to try doing winged liner your way. It's always looked funny on me, but I'm going to try not bringing it all the way down at the corner and see if that helps!

Also Besame Cosmetics are cruelty free as well! And their products are based on makeup from the past and have the prettiest packaging! Thanks for another fabulous video xoxo
It's true the popular shades of Besame are not vegan. As a company the qualify as cruelty free because they don't test on animals and their only animal derived ingredients are carmine and beeswax. The sheer collection of lipsticks is vegan so I'm hoping they'll slowly change over 🤞

MissBeeTown I'm trying! At this point, my hair is way to long to hold in the styles but I'm too nervous to cut it atm so just trying different ways to get it to work haha! Here's hoping ! X
What kind of styles are you doing? Lots of women had the midi in that era and those styles just won't work on long hair. There were still lots of long-haired beauties though! Try working toward something more like Veronica Lake, Anita Ekberg or Patricia Morrison. x
MissBeeTown omg thank you! I was trying for some of the more midi cut looking styles so I'm fairly sure that's why they weren't working. My hair is super thick and usually curls so easily (and holds it for days on end) but the hot rollers just aren't working. I will look into those actresses' and give it a go ! Thank you so much x

Awesome tutorial! I love the final look. Very pretty and vintage! And I like that it's not over the top. It's very natural and elegant and actually looked like it came from that era. Sometimes vintage makeup tutorials are too extravagant and over done. This was perfect! Thank you! I can't wait to try the this look.

I do tbis same look everyday too, as I am 49,and less is more!! I am a makeup artist actually and your techniques are really spot on. Your explanations throughout were fantastic also! sarah wimmer hey! Thanks for your comment! Most of these products I bought in Sephora Fr. I can do a video with UD products which are avail here, as well as the Kat Von D products. The problem I've found is that it is difficult to find cruelty free and vegan products in France so I've been forced to buy online. But I will see what I can do! 😊

Vintage make up tutorials always spend so long talking about getting long wear out of lip stick... Am I the only one who uses lip Cote? I used to wear it to play sax to save my reeds because once it's on a nuclear bombs wouldn't smudge your lippy
I've heard of Lip Cote but haven't used it. But I do use other longwear liquid lipsticks which wear really well. But I prefer to wear normal lippy and make it as long-wearing as possible because it is much kinder to my lips and feels like I'm not wearing lipstick. I should try Lip Cote though x
MissBeeTown yeah try it I can't live without it! You can wear any lipstick and whack it on over the top, the only downside is it can be a bit drying but I don't find that a problem
Just realised lip Cote is vegetarian and cruelty free but not vegan _ apparently 'locked lips' is a good alternative. I haven't tried it yet will report back!

Carmine is not a cruelty free ingredient but rather made from crushed beatles. Please check ingredients.
