Today's video is a furious rant!! i was scammed shopping online and buying a luxury bag on ebay, the bag is a fake! this video talks about what happened, shows the fake bag, where i got it authenticated and tips for shopping online to help protect you from buying a fake or counterfeit bag. This shows anyone can fall victim to a scam, even someone who has been buying bags for 10 years!

It happened to me, and if you used PayPal, you’ll get your money back. You open a claim and send the certificate and it takes some time but they’ll get you your refund. Keep the bag until you get your refund in case they need more documentation or photos.

Ah I cant believe it. I am so so sorry that happened to you! Before purchasing my Givenchy antigona in mid November ( which was stolen in December) i had been searching on the preloved market for a year but was too scared to buy just in case. Mind you I probably wouldnt have been upset if I had taken what happened after in December. So sorry again. Its a lesson for all of us, thanks for sharing 💖

I accidentally bought a fake LV bag! I was tricked so hard because I paid a lot and it looked so legit, I chose to donate it to a secondhand store, because even though it was fake, I thought it may make someone less fortunate happy.
I learned my lesson the hard way. I now only buy in store or from a store online then get them authenticated!

Omg, I‘m so sorry this happened to you. I recently had an instance where I sold a Chanel bag that I had bought on Vestiaire (and had it authenticated via Real Authentication right after it had arrived). The bag had a minor imperfection which my buyer was aware of. So when she brought it into her local Chanel boutique to have it sent to France for repair. And the Chanel SA told her he was pretty sure it was a fake🤯 I was so shocked and I can only imagine how humiliating the situation must have been for my lovely buyer. So I got in contact with Vestiaire, we sent the bag back to Vestiaire for another in-depth check and it again came back authentic. So she went back to the Chanel boutique to another SA and she sent it to Chanel France and they did the repair no questions asked. So at the end of the day, it all turned out alright but this whole situation made me so scared of buying expensive items preloved...
There are so many stories out there that make it more and more scary to buy preloved! I’m glad yours worked out well in the end, but it all makes me so much more cautious, there’s so much money involved 💕

I am so sorry this happened to you but I don’t think it will again and that is the positive you should take from the situation. You have also given all of us a timely reminder to practice what you preach 😊which is always good. Maybe you should keep it in a dust bag and if you feel a moment of impulsive madness coming on you have a peek at it and be back on the straight and narrow. What a major bummer! I’d try what some others have suggested about double checking the authentication. If indeed fake, I’d open a case with PayPal trying to recoup some if not all your money on this garbage. Your story is exactly why I am too scared to buy a bag from EBay. I’ve purchased many from FASHIONPHILE and Rebag, but don’t know if those are available to you. Gotta a good chuckle from your rant about the fake bag being in the “temple”. Lol. I have been crushing on that shade of purple in a Gucci bag since I first saw it. But of course in a real Gucci. Good luck on getting this resolved.

Oh no! So sorry to hear this..this is my hesitation of buying pre-loved unless I know the source solidly. Question...How do you get a bag/item authenticated? I have a Dior bag from many years ago I purchased off of eBay and I’ve always questioned the authenticity.
I used real authentication, the process with them is pretty simple. This code gives you $5 off ( and $5 credit on my acc). I would do it for peace of mind 💕

I’m sorry this happened to you. Many people have mentioned donating the bag, but there’s always the danger of it ending up back in the marketplace by someone who assumes it is authentic. It is, however, gorgeous on it’s own. I don’t know why counterfeiters don’t just leave the branding off and sell as an “inspired by” ?

You can still contact eBay and report it , if you paid through PayPal I would contact them also and report it , even though the seller is gone , they should still be able to see the transaction and the fact that the listing is removed they may just help you , I think it’s worth a shot , especially because you have proof it’s not authentic . Say unusual circumstances and due to the pandemic you were not able to have it authenticated right away . I would give it a shot girl ! I’m so sorry this happened to you .

Sorry for your experienced. I have bought two years a LV handbag at the Real Real website. After couple of months using the bag one of the hardware broke and took it to LV boutique for repair. After 3weeks I received a call saying that they can not fix the bag and they clearly stated to me the reason. It’s non authentic! I immediately contacted the Real Real and and ship back the bag to them and I’m glad I got my money back. Lesson learned, since then no matter how expensive that bag that I liked I never, never buy from pre loved. Authenticator also failed.

It can be very painful when this happens. The same thing happened to me. I only got to know that the bag was fake when I shared it online and someone who worked in Dior previously dropped a comment saying it was fake. I had it authenticated and it turned out she was right. I bought it 18 months before knowing it was fake so I couldn't return it. I can no longer use it as I don't wear fakes either. I am just not comfortable doing that. I shared it on my channel too

If someone found out SHE moved along a counterfeit bag, that’s her reputation on the line. If you are fine with owning or using a counterfeit that’s up to you, but please don’t suggest our lovely youtuber try to pass along a fake.)

Omg the most awful feeling! This happened to me but on VC rather than eBay, I almost fainted, I tried to sell my Gucci Dionysus that i'd purchased from VC to Designer exchange and they came back to me saying 'it doesn't match their standards' or some other such polite words to say fake. I ended up getting my money back from Vestiaire but I was like omggg that bag has been sitting with all my other bags and I've been walking around with a fake! I may have even gone into Gucci with it ! eBay also scares me, my friend bought LV star trail boots that turned out to be fake :(

I’ve been so tempted in the past to buy from eBay but always held back for fear of buying a fake. However , I sold a brand new Saint Laurent toy Lou Lou myself just last month so know there are lots of genuine sellers also. It’s a minefield 😫

Hi, if you still have that bag, try putting through a case with EBay. Did the listing state authentic, did the receipt state it was from a Gucci Store and provide authentication email. It doesn’t matter if it says not returnable. I sold a vintage Chanel Tote (stated not returnable in listing). I also had listed on Mercari and they authenticated it. Buyer was looking for brand new look. Note: it was listed as vintage. She wore the bag for weeks (could smell cologne) and kept gift I sent with purchase. EBay always sides with buyer; she returned bag before we could hash out difference and EBay hit my account and paid buyer.
That’s an awful experience, especially when you stated vintage and you know she wore it. I think if I hadn’t left it so long, eBay would def have dealt with it as everything stated it was supposed to be authenticate 💕

I'm too chicken to buy from eBay or individual sellers. I'd rather pay more to get it from Fashionphile / Rebag / TRR just so I know they'll be there if there's any issues. Although I've never heard of any customers challenging their authenticity... does anyone have experience?
I would def recommend getting it authenticated no matter where you buy it from 💕

For some strange reasons many Brand new Gucci bags are on Vestiaire collective for 1/3 -1/2 prices and non of them come with receipt. Even after Vestiaire authentication Im not confident why so many brand new without receipt Gucci out or markets / same things with LV shawl , Still cant und are they fake or stolen items..
I am definitely going to be extra careful going forward, if something seems off, follow my gut 💕

I got scam recently by an app call ssense they sold m a Gucci bag tht cost m 880 dollars and when it arrive it was fake I send it back but still haven’t get my money I fear I may not get it is sad tht apps can do tht to people sell fake and to make it worst not give u ur own money after they scam u

I got scammed few years ago with Chanel classic flap !! There was no authentication websites really at that time and felt uneasy going to Chanel store ! So i found out after three years of having it. Shame on them people how do that !! It will get back to them.

@@ameliarosescloset I was thinking of cutting up the fabric into shapes and sawing them into a denim jacket. Glue the gg into the heart shape into the sides too. You can do that for yourself!! The chain can be used to create a belt, they’re very trendy. You can have your unique master piece
I went through the same thing with the same bag, except mine was bright red. The bag was beautiful and was of amazing quality. I had it authenticated and found it was a fake. Couldn’t get my money back,. So you have my sympathy.

I’m selling a Dior Lady in Grey, medium size on eBay. I sold on eBay many years ago but I don’t know my account info so I just had to create a whole new account. Thus, I have no seller history with this new account, of course. I sure hope someone buys the bag even without my selling history. The bag is in perfect condition and it’s authentic, I swear! 😄
This may make it more difficult, it might be worth getting an authentication certificate to sell with it just to give added reassurance, or consider one of the IG ( reputable) consigners, some the commission isn’t that much more 💕

@@vjloves3107 About two years ago. When it arrived I felt something was off, but stupidly took nearly two weeks to actually authenticate. I think I was scared to find out and kept putting it off. When I did have proof VC were awful and said they wouldn’t accept my paid authentication as they’d looked at it and thought it was fine. It wasn’t even a good fake!! I just had to give up and count it as a loss! Cut up the bag and binned it. Would never buy from them again!!

Hiya just wondering did you pay extra to get it authenticated as I know they do offer that service. I’m only saying this, as I just bought a Prada clutch from VC and paid extra to get it authenticated. Just seen your comment and has got me worried 😭 and I’m still waiting for it as the whole brexit in the uk as delayed items 😭

This is exactly why the couple items I just bought on Poshmark I did several authentication websites and put it on my credit card just in case it looked different in person and such.
That was absolutely the right thing to do, I’ve definitely learnt a lesson 💕

But I will say, I have had such good experiences with eBay. If the bag is listed as a real Gucci bag and if you can prove to eBay that it is fake they will refund you your money 🤞🏼
