That's a lot of work you've done, to leave america for the Philippines for a new start, wow! Happy for you bro. That property of yours seems to be sustainable, it has solar, livestock's, backyard for plants etc. Welcome to the Philippines. 👊😎🇵🇭
thank you bro! It's been a lot of work but worth every bit of this new beginning. We're aiming for sustainability with solar power, livestock, and a thriving backyard garden. Your warm welcome means so much. Grateful to be here in the Philippines.😊

Thank you so much! Yes,"Bahay Kubo" perfectly describes it. We're glad you enjoy the beauty and fresh air here. Sending warm greetings to you all the way in Cairo,Egypt! We'll definitely showcase more about the Philippines in upcoming videos.😊
@ Filipinos can learn from you, we need to grow our own food in our yard even in containers, raise chickens for eggs, life can be better and sustainable. Hats off to you!
Thank you @@chulaguy619 for your kind words! You're absolutely right, growing our own food and raising chickens for eggs can lead to a more sustainable and fulfilling life. It doesn't take much to start;even a small effort can make big difference in reducing expenses and eating healthier. I hope more filipinos embrace these practices. Life can indeed be simpler and better with a bit of self-sufficiency. Salamat sa Suporta!😊
Amazing, you probably could upgrade to aquaponics in the future some time with that setup of fish and garden utilizing grow towers to save space & produce more from a small garden plot, plus filtering the water for your fish.
Thank you for your suggestion! Aquaponics was actually the original plan for this space, and it's something we're still considering for the future. Incorporationg grow towers sounds like a fantastic idea to save space and boost productivity. Thanks for the inspiration.😊
I'm not, actually! If you could see the very first drawing I made, you'd probably laugh, It was far from professional😂, I'm just someone with a creative mind and a knack for figuring things out. Thank you for the compliment, though; It means a lot!
Thank you so much for your kind words! It means a lot to know that our efforts are inspiring others. Best of Luck with your vacation house backyard. Sustainability is such a rewaeding journey!❤
Thank you for your kind words! Wishing you you the best as you plan your move back to the philippines. It's an exciting new chapter ahead! Safe travels and enjoy the journey.😊
Aww, this is nice. Your channel randomly appeared on my feed. I like your comment about providing jobs for family members because yeah, that's better than just handing out things. Makes you both feel more in equal footing because you pay for the labor and they earn what you give them. And I'm interested in what the inside of your house looks like (esp since you mentioned you're living off grid) so if you will show it to us I'll be the first to watch lol. Subscribing to your channel now😊
Thank you! We've put a lot of thought and effort into making the most of the space, especially the garden. It's been a rewarding project, and we love the view and functionality it offers.😊
Interested to see how the fly production works out and what your overall cost and profit is with that set up. I'm also a big proponent of choosing synergistic activities on the farm to save money and minimize risk. I am also a westerner living in the Philippines and frankly think its dumb how much local farmer rely on commercial feeds. They are a lot more expensive than sourcing local ingredients and it makes the local farmers reliant on these feeds, which often come from places like China.
Thank you for sharing your insights! I completely agree with the importance of choosing synergistic activities to minimize risks and maximize resources. Your point about the dependency on commercial feeds is very valid, it's something that significantly impacts local farming sustainability. Exploring alternative, locally sourced inputs can truly empower farmers and make their practices more resilient. I'll keep your thoughts in mind as I continue with this project, and I'll definitely share updates on the cost and outcomes of the fly production setup. Your perspective is greatly appreciated.❤
Thats incredible! It speaks volume about the durability of your home and preparations you've made. typhoons like Odette and Yolanda were no joke, so it's great to hear your house withstood them well. Having a strong, resilient home is such a blessing, especially in typhoon-prone areas.😊
Thank you so much for subscribing and for the support all the way from London! I'm thrilled to have you on board. Stay tuned for more educational and informative content. I hope it continues to be valuable for you. Let me know if there's anything specific you'd like to see.😊
It looks good to the eye. I love to build a house like that too if I have the resources. The question is how long the bamboo will last though. How much did it cost you to build the house if you don't mind me asking
you can put some screen on your garden to have a greenhouse effect..your plants will die or will be prone to insects, preventing them from growing healtheir
Thank you for the suggestion! That's actually the plan. We're working on turning it into a greenhouse to protect the plants and help them grow healthier. Stay tuned for updates.😊
I am a fisheries technology graduate, and your fish tanks of tilapia made me subscribed, maybe you can consider also raising azolla plant for tilapia feeds .It can carry some of the food burden of your fishes.its worth trying bro.
Thank you for the grweat suggestion! Raising azolla for tilapia feed is definitely one of the plans. We're just waiting for everything to be set up, and once it's ready, we'll get started. Appreciate your input.😊
Thats my retirement dream. 3 more years i will retire. I have been living in Canada for 35 years and now I can’t wait to go back to the Philippines.i will definitely want to see more of your video, will.
That sounds like an exciting new chapter ahead! I'm sure the Philippines will be a perfect place to enjoy your retirement. I'll be sharing plenty more videos. Hope you'll enjoy them when the time comes! Best of Luck with your upcoming move.😊
A single detached home on a 650-sqm lot IS a dream come true - typhoon-proof, good water supply, near basic amentiies - health services, passable road network, communication facilites, food on the table... hoping there are no termites
This is an ambitious construction with lots of interesting ideas. One issue I noticed is that you've placed a pig pen directly next to and below a chicken coop. This may not be such a great idea, since the pigs will be in forced exposure to chicken feces constantly. This seems like a way to transmit bird flu? I'm no expert in animal husbandry, but you might want to consult someone about that before going ahead with that. Chickens, though, are always a great idea for the garden.
Thank you for the concern! We're established a routine to maintain cleanliness and minimize the risk of sickness. While we're not professionals,we know there might be some bumps along the way, and we're open to that, Failures are just part of the process. When we fail, we'll do better next time. So, join us as we learn and grow together!😊
Great point! Termites can definitely be a challenge in tropical climates. We'll actually be uploading a video soon on how we treated the wood to prevent termite damage. We're fully expecting this issue and have taken steps to be ready for it. Stay tuned! it's going to be an informative one!

Yes, Thank you. I wanna figure something out where I can grow azolla above the pond. Appreciate the comment.😊 Stay tuned!
@@Unwritten_Journey you can put net in a portion of your pond so that tilapia will not eat them all and they can hide under the net during sunny days.
