Thanks! We had a blast down there. We actually spent a bit of time trying to smooth the smaller jumps out. Rampage took a few tumbles cos of off canter jumps. But did well overall.
Hi again. My redcat mt as stop working. It doesn't want to start. I put a new coil,new spark plug and now it doesn't have any sparks. I wonder if you could help me out with this.

Hey ! Hey ! Me again , by any chance do you know of a upgraded clutch bell n shaft for the rampage ? And thanx much !
Unfortunately there is no upgrade for the Rampage MT clutch bell that I know of. Big downfall of Redcat. No aftermarket support
Would you get a used rampage MT without a body, probably needs a new servo and definitely needs new battery and receiver/transmitter. Or, would you get a new Rovan 29cc baja? MT is $250, Rovan is $390. I plan to do light jumps on dirt, probably similar to the jumps in this or smaller.
That question all depends on what You want. The Rampage MT is a monster truck and has big wheels and 4x4. The Rovan 5b is a rear wheel drive buggy. Honestly the Rovan has more upgrades as it is cloned off the HPI baja. So many upgrades for a baja, Rampage is limited to Redcat upgrades.
I was thinking about purchasing the hex drive starter for my XT. Have you ever had any issues with it?
@ronaldjones8797 I use the one from the old killer rc site. I have had zero issues with it. The Troybilt bits can be had at Lowes. What setup do you plan to use? Also, carrying a drill kinda sucks if not close to the car.
@@SteelCityRC it's an older XT with a Zenoah 29.5 cc. Basically a 30 size. Totally rebuilt (with what parts I can get from their website). I also have a Rovan Baja 5B with a ported Zenoah ESP. That one is heavily modded. And I have a Redcat Chimera. I will strongly suggest not to buy this hunk of garbage. The Chinese CY motor that came with it was bad. The coil was bad right out of the box. Numerous loose bolts. Air filter and Tx and Rx are garbage. Horrible design all the way around. Modified the receiver box to be able to charge battery. Air filter blocks one of the bolts. Right now I'm putting a Zenoah in it. All 3 of my rigs have a Dynamite kill switch. Also it's getting a Velocity stack and a shortened angle air filter from DDM. Also just ordered a Jet Pro pipe for it. So this $750 piece of crap is costing me an additional $650. And Redcats customer support is non existent. Matter of fact, I think thier guy Joey Lacey blocked me. They sell an inferior product and they don't stand behind it. About to order the Kraken Vesla 5. Hopefully better results. What's up? I really am not sure the size of XT wheels. Never had one. These current wheels are from an Arrma Kraton 8S. They are nice and cushiony.
Good stuff. I see you are running Arrma wheels and tires in this one. Are they copperheads and how did they hold up to the torque ?
Thanks! Yes these are the Copperhead 2 wheels and tires. Holding up great. I keep an eye on the glue job holding the tires on frequently. But the tires are so soft for jumps. I use them on my Xmaxx too. Good all around tire in my opinion. Badlands MX43 are good on here too. Appreciate you stopping by 👊 🤘

I have a question do you leave the High on 1.5 turns out and the low on 1.25? tune it every time your out? Or when the weather changes? Hotter? Colder? Because I already overheated/cracked the original 32cc pull start case and I now have this Rovan/Rufun 36cc and want to make sure I’m not damaging my engine. Also break in is important also correct? Half throttle for a couple tanks then full send? Thanks 👍🤛😎
Sup man. The needle adjustment depends on the carb you have. If you have a Rovan engine. I recommend getting a genuine Walbro 1107 carb from DDM Racing. The Rovan carbs aren't the best. As far as tuning all the time. No. Not at all really. Yes if it gets cold out I will richen both needles otherwise it runs fine without touching it. Break in is important. A few idle heat cycles. Then on the ground for no more than half throttle. Question I have. What mix ratio and oil type you using?

@@SteelCityRC the carburetor that’s on it says walbro not sure which one though? I know that the piston does have two rings though. 👍🤛😎
@@SteelCityRC at first I was using VP Powermaster 25:1 mix does oil type matter? I was running the VP 2 stroke oil with 93 pump gas. I’ve found that the Vp 25:1 premix fouled way less spark plugs with the 93 and oil mix I was fouling plugs left and right.
@@MrTylerg506 25 to 1 is good. The VP is also good. I have never used VP 2 stroke oil or the ready mixed stuff. But VP is good stuff you should be good. Maybe a bit rich if fouling plugs. Better rich than burning up another engine. Good luck man!!
I baby mine. Parts on this thing are cheaper that an f150 but I stopped pretty quick.

Hey GMan, what do you think of the durability of the driveline and chassis of the Redcats? That truck looks like it would make a good platform for a radical build up. Cool video buddy
Thanks Brian! Redcat is kinda junk IMO stock. There are no aftermarket companies to make parts. So I put as much Redcat upgrades as I could. Aluminum diff housings etc. Good bearings. Anything more than a ported g320 and it will break all the time. The side transmission gears are the worst. Break very easily. Was my first 5th scale.
Yeah, the seemingly lack of aftermarket parts is what pushed me to the Losi a couple of years ago when first venturing into 1/5th scale. But it was just a guess back then. Thanks for the info@@SteelCityRC

What's up man. The pipe is from Australia called Olimat Engineering. I love the sound. Had a DDM Dominator on it for a few years. Wanted to change it up.

Hey what's up man! Thanks! I use DGI 1 inch wheel extenders on the MT. Can also use four rear baja 5B hexes if you don't want extensions. But I found some wheels will hit the steering knuckles without the extenders. Plus without it likes to roll over more because it made the width smaller without the stock MT wheels. @@SteelCityRC have you measured how wide it is without the tires on it stock? I've been curious how much the tires attribute to the overall width
@@restinpiecesrc5528 hello. I have never measured stock tires and width installed. But when I converted the hex to 24mm. I used DGI 1 inch extenders to make up for the lack of stock width with the different wheels. It is about the same width now and rarely rolls over.

Why are these gas trucks are so slow compared to nitro engines
What's up man! This truck does 45 mph. Not too bad for a 35 pound 5th scale gasser. Nitro is 8th scale. Much smaller platform. Appreciate you stopping by 👊 🤘
