I have two of these trucks they are great had them for 6 years and have broken very few parts considering what they go threw, just a tip the plastic cover for the gears on the side needs to be sealed if there is any tiny gaps the stones get in and then goes between the gears stick a good exhaust on it it will make a big difference enjoy 🏁
Sweet truck brother! Much fun in the snow banks. Maaan get yourself a remote killswitch and a good waterproof throttle servo. All will be good. Hope to see more of this truck.

Yeah for the hex pins that should work. Still going to need to figure out something for the CV pin. So far so good but I know they are going to come out eventually
@steel city rc, I just pickup one, my friend rc dealer told me to use 50/1 but the manual says use 20/1 breakins and 25/1 normal operation any suggestion much appreciated
Some of the parts do need to be loctited or they will come loose. You don't have to do it right away but you may cut your run short when something comes loose.
sounds bad ether adjust fuel tuning or like mine the ring was installed wroung got it 2 weeks ago and the ring got cliped by the transfer port because teh ring was stuck on the pin
@@GussCustomCreations i just make it run right and little more oil 25 to 1 and just do stabs of power no long term ripping and my 2 speed trans should be here soon

@@GussCustomCreations what went wrong with mine was the drive shaft they break like mad look into the dark soul real thick ones you should of seen my collection bro ten years ago I had all these trucks I had two pro models and one regular I had 3 hpi Baja 5bs and 3 nitros cars it was nuts and the rampage always broke so so much have you tried hpi Baja never once did it break their good cars or check out primal rc raminator absolutely insane
@@GussCustomCreations sick man I really would love to get back into i built a 4 thousand dollar Baja thsts with no engine I was gonna put the O'Neil brother twin in it someone broke in and stole it I slowly lost interest in it all after that and sold it all I even had a Trevor Simpson in one Baja I wish I had of made a youtube channel

I have changed the servo since then. Pipe, clutch spring, kill switch and a few other things. It's a blast for sure. Thanks man 👍

Yeah gas is a lot easier. Don't have to tune as much and pretty easy to start.
When you buy the adapters for the 24mm. It will hold the pins in for you

Make sure you loctite the grub screws on your drive lines
I made collars for the drivelines so the pins can't come out. I have a video on how to make them.

I personally never run leaner than 32:1. Not a huge difference in performance and the engine is going to last longer.

I had it running way rich yet because it was still not broken in yet. Should run it rich at least a few tanks unless you want to cause engine damage.

so was it worth 600$? i think this is the cheapest way to get into gas rcs.. that is if the truck is any good?
This is the 900 one but yes it was worth it. It's not perfect but worth the money

Things are garbage I owned 3 of em constantly break down
I haven't had any issues really. I did a few things to it and it has been great. Have ran 2 gallons through it now and it's been good.
