i have lived thru this, left for 22 years of pain because of a member. But thanks to a home ministering teacher, I was led back to my foundation and for the past 30 years, will be forever grateful for learning forgiveness, and rejoicing in the freedom of love again. today the knowledge of what really happened and why has been given to me, and I am comforted for that understanding of why it happened, which I had no control over, was just its victim. I am well now, and happy and very active with the many blessings I denied before from my pain. Its not worth it. Still remembering and loving Brother Bud Call, Fresno West , CA Stake, for being sent by my savior through his prayers to save me. Elder Holland's words are prophetic and true. Amen

Thank you Elder Holland for this message. This is the message that I need to hear today as I strive to be happy today. I have carried a deep burden of wraths for many months but I'll let it go now so I can be happy again.
Was listening to all the Corona calamity reports and absconded with that to come here to strength and truth.

I love you Elder Holland. I love hearing you speak. I love our profit and all of our apostles. But you are the only apostle I have been privilege of hearing in person. I live in Goldsboro N. C. . When you spoke at our sanctuary I felt the Holy spirit as strong as when I was commanded to receive the holy ghost. You have shared so many wonderful experiences. You have learned so much .
Such a marvelously humbling speech. Take it to heart and heal.

What an amazing talk and so appropriate for any time. How much time is wasted when members find themselves in this position. There is hope regardless of the time that has gone by. I am inspired by his message.
I fully agree with Elder Holland's wonderful talk. I've had my share and more of pain delt me by Church members....and others (but you expect more from members of the true restored Church of our Savior.).... and included a devastating situation specifically by a Bishop. I knew that without a doubt I needed to know the Church was true if I was going to continue as a member. I studied the Book of Mormon diligently, sometimes just verse by verse, coupled with prayer and fasting. I knew that if the Book of Mormon was true it would follow that Joseph Smith was a Prophet called of God to restore the Church and ordinances present at the time of Christ. Sometimes I'd read a verse or even a chapter or two and think, "Ole' Joe Smith could have made that up." 🤔 But it would be a verse or chapter beyond that I'd read something that no one had the knowledge of at that time. This went on throughout my reading and studying. Now I'd already read the B of M several times but it was just to get through it. But the Lord knew the rest of my life depended on knowing of a surety that it was true. Knowing it was true gave me a firm foundation when many things that happened to me kept me faithfully in the Church. I knew it was true even if some members, not living faithfully, trespassed against me. Some were very devastating blows but I weathered the storms because of my testimony. I've learned the Lord will give you time to grieve and mourn what was lost because of another, but in the end, you must forgive...even if they don't ask for forgiveness...for your eternal salvation and exaltation. If you don't it just cankers your own soul. I've done a lot of this forgiving praying the Lord will then forgive me of my sins and mistakes. I so love to hear Elder Holland speak. His messages are so profound and inspirational.

If you are someone who is hitting the dislike button. You haven’t listened to the talk. You’re doing it either because you don’t understand the gospel or you’re being vindictive.
Dont be offended by those who hit dislike. It really doesn't matter. As for me I just finished listening to all the talks and some I liked better than others and a couple I disagree with but overall good messages on how to be better human beings. Hollands was not my favorite.
Forgiveness

Offences happen much more often in the church, than the occasional. This is a serious problem in the church and where we are breaking down and need improvement. Part of the problem is that Bishops and local Leaders, should be trained in how to lead and on how to talk with people. The lack of educated or real world experience in leadership, is showing us there is a need for such.

I feel this way a lot. Try and remember, our sadness is merely a longing. . . Please try to not let the adversary misguide that longing. Beautiful, marvelous things await you if you endure and stay in the light that is our Savior. Keep your eyes locked on his. He understands. 💗
