Thank you for your awesome comment! We're doing several more Tokyo vlogs and a Kamakura one, then we'll return to Japan early next year 😉🌸 G2 film pics on every vlog of course! And yes, Asakusa is a must, especially the back alleys! It's just special 🌸
Seriously! ...I was thinking how to describe why these vlogs are so attractive. This is the second video from Ralph & Sam and I'm hooked. Adorable couple, great aesthetic, and the film photography from Ralph is the cherry on top. ...not to mention, informative. Wife and I going in March and one day left unplanned. ...because of Ralph & Sam, we'll be spending a day in Harajuku!
This was a great vlog!! I go back to Tokyo in 25 days I absolutely cannot wait. When I'm feeling apathetic about my work I just watch these and feel inspired again! (':
that is so sweet! thank you so much for taking the time to watch 🥲 we just returned from Tokyo so we have more videos like this coming up. Hope you have a wonferful winter trip 🇯🇵❤️
Pint on top of Fuglen!!! Thanks for such a great tip. I'd never have known about it (or gone up there in physical reality when walking around the area) if I hadn't seen this video first. What a brilliant day you guys had! Unagi, ice cream and a couple of hours recharging and relaxing in such a beautifully appointed meditation 'pod'/sauna. Dreamy!
Asakusa's such a unique area, really. So glad we were able to wander around and find so many neighborhood spots like Pint 😊 Thanks so much for tuning in

i'm adding your resto choices to our food trip!! aaaah. too bad we've just finalised the rest of our itinerary for next month's trip when we came across your vlogs. but I'm definitely looking back at your videos for our next visit to Tokyo! i so love your vibe and curated content. man, even your hotel matches your style!
I have a request for Ralph. Can you make 'kore wa ii ne' your catch phrase every time you try exceptionally nice food in Japan? Always puts a smile on my face when you speak Japanese! You guys are awesome by the way! my wife's a huge fan of your vlogs
Watching your vlogs to get ideas for my upcoming Tokyo trip, your vlogs make me so excited for my trip!! Can't wait to experience it! Love your vlogs 💕

Thank you for watching! Yes, the thoughtfulness of the whole sauna experience was so unique and really refreshed us after a whole day of walking around Asakusa. 💖
Love all your vlogs so much, great inspiration for my next trip to Japan. I have been following your fantastic vlogs since your first vlogs to Bangkok, my home town 😊❤

Can't wait for your next vlog
Hello! This is Ralph. For my film cameras I use a Contax G2 and Olympus mju ii. It's a fun, portable camera combo and it's special to shoot in the Japanese sun. Thanks so much for your kind words. More videos to come soon! And I hope you make it to Japan next year 🌸🌸🌸

Hi! Just came across this video while researching what to do during my Japan trip in May! Was wondering where exactly that area with all the gachapon machines and the cafe cats sitting atop all of them is? Love what you guys do, cheers.
I’m sorry if anyone has already asked, but what camera does Ralph use to shoot the stills? I love the way they all turned out! Also curious if they are heavily edited or if the camera takes photos that way? Thank you for the awesome videos you guys :)
For film cameras, I use a Contax G2 and Olympus mju ii to shoot. Since it's on film, the colors naturally come out vibrant. Thanks so much for watching ✨️🫶🏽
Thank you! Just be genuine, curious, and experimental. Camera settings, I just load Kodak Portra 400 film and shoot on aperture priority. Easy and fun ✌🏽✨️
your vlogs and vibes are incredible! i love the creative+colorful vision that goes into every single one of them; not a single drab moment to be witnessed! i also find both your voices to be very soothing and appreciate that you Show Us these awesome places and let us hear the sounds without smothering us with yappy commentary. ;w; so inspiring to watch before my first ever tokyo trip this year! ( >u< )9 if you don't mind me asking though, during what months/seasons did you guys go on this trip? not sure if i just missed it somewhere. i'm already planning another trip LOL albeit i'm hoping to go when the weather is a lot more temperate so i don't have to bring too many bulky jackets!
aww, thank you so much for the kind feedback. especially on an older video! makes us so happy to see people still watching this. this trip was during the second week of October :) We always go that week. In our experience the weather is sunny and cool but there's a stray chance of a typhoon happening around that time. It only gets cold around November. March is also quite cold! 😊

Love your vlog! Making me so excited for my next trip to Japan next year! But, I see you take a lot of people pictures, do you ask beforehand if it´s okey?
Thank you! Well, some photos are with permission with even a friendly chat in some basic Japanese, and some photos are definitely street style photos in public where it's all about admiring the Japanese clothing style or how the lighting falls on them that day ✨️
@@RalphSam thank you for answering😊 I've been there two times before and did as you wrote now, some I got to ask and some I just snapped street style in the moment, but later I've been told that I should always ask everyone and if not gotten permission, I should not take the picture.. So made me a bit conflicted for my next trip how I shoulg go froward this time.
hmmm,... my girlfriend wanted to worship at Senso-Ji because of the Goddess Kannon last month but it was so crowded here. There is nearby Kamiya Bar but I just don't want to get drunk drinking denki-bran ... (^_^)
Hey, love the vibe of the video ;) ! Maybe you already know, but for those who don't, Yasukuni Jinja is a very problematic shrine in Japan. 1068 war criminals are enshrined and 14 class A criminals from WW2 were also secretly enshrined in 1978. Politicians sometimes come to pay their respects to the dead which always sparks scandal within the international community. The museum Yu-shu-kan next to the temple is also a negationist musuem denying japan's war crimes. So, take your precautions when going ;)
@@RalphSam I lived in Japan for seven years. It's one of the most racist places on Earth. There are shops, restaurants, and bars with signs on the doors saying No Foreigners. And even if they don't display signs, many will cross their arms when you enter and claim that it's because of the language barrier that they are refusing service. But this is all a bunch of BS because I'm fluent in Japanese (been working as a Japanese-to-English technical translator for decades). I remember going to Denny's in Asakusa across from Kaminarimon and they wouldn't give us menus. I ordered from memory and that just made them more flustered. Behind the smiles is a lot of hate/racism. Always be aware of that.
I don't doubt that Racism exists in most if not every country. If you're anywhere long enough, you can pick up on it. Many Asians even direct it towards fellow Asians, whether it's a bias towards the mainland Chinese or South East Asians like us, Filipinos. It's not always overt, but as you said, it does exist. It's a sad truth. But I hope it doesn't deter people from visiting these places and giving them a chance to see for themselves. Thank you for sharing your experience.
