I'm glad this video popped up on my TH-cam feed. I'll be staying at a nearby hotel in Asakusa in Mar 2024. I'll definitely be checking out the places and be sure to visit Kamejuu
This is definitely a detail guide to Asakusa !! Thanks George

Great video man! Not sure i'll ever be able to travel to Japan but i really like seeing how nice it is through you! Beautiful country😍😁
Thanks for watching! Yes Japan is so beautiful country that I don’t want to leave for a while haha
Just go.
Why not, buddy? Get out there!!
@@MrTylr2012 thanks for the encouragement man, will take me some good saving as i don't have a great income but hopefully one day couple years from now!!
helpfull guide! Going to Japan next year to see 10 different cities and travel around from Osaka to Tokyo in 3,5 weeks
George, one thing to note about the Asakusa Tourist Information Center is that it was designed by Kengo Kuma, a brilliant architect!
I should’ve mentioned that! Thanks for letting me know
Thank you for this video, it was great! I am planning a trip next year and there's so, so much to read up on and plan. (SIM card or wifi, which airport, train cards, etc.) Looking forward to it.
WOW 😃 it's great to see you again. Great video and thanks so much for your tour and explanation of everything there. Nice to meet your sister and tell her hi from all your followers 🙋. I hope you have been healthy and happy. Always wishing you much success, health and happiness 🙏 🙇♂️
Thanks for watching! I’ll tell her about that. You too :)
Cool! Good to see you back.
Yes finally 😆
Amazing tour! I'll save this video for my future travel around Japan 🙏
Thanks for watching! :)
Very good video, I like the voiceover and going straight to the point.
Thank you so much for this video. I am visiting japan in 6 days. This street is the one i wanted to visit. I wanted to experience street/hand foods and i love shooping for suverniors. Thank you for this video!!
Glad to watch your video. Had a pleasant wonderful trip in Tokyo this week 🎉🤩
Im going in less than a month and will stay in Asakusa! Thanks, very helpful video George
Thanks George for the tips and recommendations! Going to Asakusa in three weeks time 🎉
I miss asakusa it’s so pretty. I love how u could see the skytree too
Hi George 👋 good to see you back! 😊
Yes finally! Thanks for watching :)
George!!!! So great seeing you after such a long time!
Finally, I’m back! Thanks for watching :)
My pleasure!! Love your videos!!
Thank you kindly George for the very wonderful videos about Japan and its popuplar specilities. Nothing is better than experiences and introductions from a local guide that is you handsome and generous Japanese guy for this very informative video. It is meaningful for us who are coming to Japan this August for all of the best we want from Japan bro! ❤❤❤💐💐💐
advice for tourists: don't go here on January 1st... ooof go here early before 10am if you want to go to the temple. If not, you will find yourself in a LOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOONG SLOOOOOOOOW line going inside (and going outside).
I found you back George
The info from your channel about Tokyo is most informative! Thank you for sharing bro. We are heading to Tokyo in August. See you there if possible bro! ❤💐💐💐
Hi George , this video is very informative and i really appreciate your efforts, will be visiting TOkyo in Nov 24 end so will make it point to do as you said.
Hey George, I'm going to Japan next year, please continue with these tips, they'll be very useful 😅
Sure👍
Love this video! Thanks for all the good tips! 😊
Thank you for watching! :)
Awesome video, George! I didn't see that they sold melon pan with ice cream, that sounds like a good combo. It looks very busy there again, I guess that tourism is back to normal - I'm glad!
Thanks for watching! Yeah finally the tourism is back to normal
It's so good to see you again George!!!
I really like the video mostly in voice-over. Sometimes it is possible to speak to camera and that's cool, and sometimes it's so much better for audience, youtuber, and the people around to do a voice-over.
♡♡♡♡♡
Thanks for watching! :) Yeah I’m more comfortable doing voiceover than talking to camera outside haha
Lovely video and useful, i am going today ❤
I miss your videos and I do like your voice
Arigatou! :)
@@GeorgeJapan どういたしまして 😉
Amaaaazing video very helpful thank you!!!❤
You have such an adorable voice! And yes, it is very soothing. You have a lovely accent too, and speak English better than a lot of people I know who speak it as their first language! :3
Nice tip on the back alleys with the local eats!
Great video and great travel guide, George!!! 😄
I was missing the videos.
Japan is so amazing and the Asakusa area is one of the places I really want to see.
In future videos you could do guides teaching tourists how to get around Japan, i.e. how to buy a boarding ticket, how to get around stations, how to catch a train.
By the way, this "Come on!" is nostalgic. It'll be a year since you were here.
Thanks for watching! :) Sure, I might do those as well
I went to Asakusa Culture Tourist Information Center last year, its a beautiful building itself and has an amazing view. Besides we could enjoy a free activity, there were three awesome and kind old ladies that taught us to draw a kanji in ink.
Lol I like how you say you are too embarrassed to talk to the camera. Good honesty
Thanks for the tips!! Ill be vlogging there next week😂❤
Thank you for watching! Hope you enjoy Asakusa🇯🇵
Good to see you again man ;) now I just need to go to Japan again to follow your advice haha
Thanks for watching, Manoah! :) I’ll guide you around Tokyo next time🇯🇵
Thank you for this video! So ready to try the melon bread with ice cream in 2024!!!
Thank you for watching! :) It’s a must-try🍈
Yeah !! I am so glad to watch a new video from you George, you made my day 😁, Asakusa is a wonderful place to visit I must go there just for being smarter with the じょうころ 😄 I already ate a dorayaki when I visiting Nagoya and this was so good 🤤🤤🤤.
ジョルジュ,ビデオをどうもありがとうございました😁, Greetings from Belgium.
ありがとう for watching! :) Now I’m curious how different they are between Nagoya dorayaki and Asakusa dorayaki haha
I love visiting Asakusa. There's still a lot of places I could explore there and I will when I come back.
About melon pan, I first heard of it when reading the manga Ranma 1/2. I thought it was melon flavored, so when I finally got to visit Japan, I got one from the grocery. It didn't have any flavor, so I thought it was because it was a mass produced kind of bread. I went to that same store in Asakusa, got melon pan. Still no flavor, but it was delicious.
This guy kicks ass!
Thank you for this video!!
I'll try to come to Japan in the foreseeable future. Probably to study but I'll try to checkout everything
Nice! You’re welcome to Japan anytime🇯🇵
I visited Tokyo in 1999 and I remember Asakusa especially Asakusa Jinja shrine I believe it was named, amazing 😮
Great video George and it’s nice seeing you back! Btw which action camera do you use to film outside? I’m looking into buying one for my next trip, thanks !
Thanks for watching! :) I use “DJI2 camera”
I got ningyouyaki shaped like the Seven Lucky Gods when I visited Asakusa shrine, and 24 years later I am still lucky. 😇
you have a great voice Georde! No need to be shy..
Arigatou!!
I was there in February such an incredible place, missed the sweet shop at the end though 😢
I love your subtle humor hahahahhaha
very helpful video, thank you!
Hello George...a long time!!! Nice vídeo...congratulation from Brazil.😊
I’m back! Thank you for watching 😊
美味しそ😊楽しそ and.. Vamos... Really cute❤
Thankyou George. My family is visiting in September 2024 so maybe we will go and say hello to your sister if we go for Dorayaki
Hello how are you doing today take care of yourself always be happy and keep smiling see you soon 💖 I am new fan 😊
Thanks! You too :)
''Same method as calling someone ''Harry Potter'' because they look like Harry Potter.'' Nothing wrong with that. It's logical to me. I loved this video. The places to see look like so much fun and very nice. 😊💚
Hahaha thanks for watching! :) Such a nice place to walk around
Thank you I enjoyed your video
Excellent video George! Do you mind me asking if you have suggestions on where would be a good place to buy a tea set and matcha?
Eu amei😊Quero ver mais...
Asakusa is beautiful but I mostly avoided crowds and liked Ueno better in Tokyo. Except for the day I went to the taiko drum museum, which is another fun experience in Asakusa. Thanks for showing me the sights I didn't brave the crowds for!
Hi, George! This is my first time watching your videos. すばらしい!!! 君のビデオやヒントは、僕が東京に行くときにとても役に立つよ。 See you in 2025! 😊
Yeah! It's been awhile watching your videos! Glad your back & this video is perfect! I'll be heading over to Asakusa in a few days and you have some excellent information! Going to take the Tokyo water cruise over there from Odaiba. What place would you recommend for gyoza over in Asakusa?
I’m back! Thank you for watching :) I’d recommend “Gyoza Bar Keisuke”. Hope you enjoy Asakusa🇯🇵
Great Asakusa guide.
こんにちは!また会えて嬉しいよ!
こちらこそ!
Great video!
George先生って江戸っ子でしたか❗️💓
Hi George, great video man! How long duration in total while we walked around the temple? thanks.
How much time it takes to do voiceover in your videos? 😀
After 682 years, George is finally back! 🐉🀄🎆
Yes!🤩
GEORGE!!! 👋🏻 How are you? It's good to see you again and hope you are well!! 😊
I’m doing well :) Thanks for watching!
Thank you for this video, I will definitely go to Asakusa and Dorayaki shop😊, my favorite snack
I will go to Japan in May, on golden week😂, is it crowded there in Tokyo at that time?
Hi George, i have a question about the souvenirs shops. I heard they also sell "Dai-Gohonzon souvenirs" have you ever seen them?
The eastern part of Tokyo, Asakusa and Ryogoku, was the entertainment center of Edo Tokyo until the Early Showa era, but in the 1970s, the center of Tokyo's fashion and culture shifted to the west area. When I was in junior high , Asakusa was left behind and became deserted, with the big old movie theaters and theatres being dirty, many shady shops, the back streets smelling bad, and unsophisticated men hanging around the off-track betting parlours. Today's Asakusa, clean and tidy, bustling with foreigners, seems like a dream.
I'd like to go early in the morning to avoid the crowds, how early do the shops open on Nakamisedori?
I went yesterday It was awesome, i enjoyed shiba cafe and rio cafe
I’ve missed you George.
Finally, I’m back!
Can you still do everything at night at sensoji temple?
I visited Asakusa. It would’ve been nice to know what I was looking at! Now I know eight years later.
Hahaha I hope you had a good time in Japan tho🇯🇵
@@GeorgeJapan
George I had a fantastic time in Japan.
After I watched your video, I went and looked at all of the photos from that trip. Many of these different sites you showed us in your video are sites that I had taken photos of.
I even had the bread, which the signs in English said “Japanese traditional sweet bread”. I remember it being really tasty!
I found your channel from Food Insider, and really enjoy the content you put out. Thank you very much for sharing your amazing country.
Hey George, thanks for the walking tour. This is going to be me next year. Yay. Question - as I do not speak one word of Japanese I was thinking of hiring a personal Tour guide. Any thoughts on that and maybe suggestions? Thanks 😊
Thanks for watching! Yeah I’d recommend hiring a personal tour guide if you want authentic experiences. “Tokyo Travel Assist” they have wonderful tour guides. You can check their website. www.tokyo-travelassist.com
@@GeorgeJapan Thank you very much. Will look them up. Have a good day
Long time no see ... Still love you Morocco 🇲🇦
Thanks for watching from Morocco🇲🇦
❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
Great video, planning a trip next year to Japan and wasn't sure what to do in Asakusa. Not an issue now, subscribed. Is possible to do everything in this video and still have time for the Skytree in a single day?
Thank you for watching! :) Yes you still have time for the Skytree since it’s close to Asakusa (10min by train or 20min by walk) and it’s open from 10:00am - 9:00pm.
I'm waiting for you to go to China ❤i love you from Morocco
Thanks for watching!🇲🇦 Maybe not soon, but definitely in the future!
George shy! What? Noooooo 😆 lol
😆😆
Not gonna lie Melon Bread looks exactly like a Mexican dessert we have called conchas
Asakusa remembers me the best pudding shop in japan silk pudding
Ah I should have tried that!
Is there a place to see a live Samurai Show?
Hi George, how many stations in Asakusa? Im a bit lost while searching for hotels close to station where I can easily access to train station going to other places, i.e Shinjuku, Shibuya, Ueno, etc..
Not sure if this is helpful but we just booked our hotel for Asakusa and are staying at far east village and it’s a 2 min walk to asakusa station :)
@TheGlossgirl1 Thank you! Im checking for Far East Village now :)
