I got one of these for my son for High School and it's a seriously amazing piece of technology. It's super lightweight, boots up in seconds, the screen is amazingly vibrant and clear and it's battery lasts forever. I'm now looking to get one for myself for work. BTW the chassis isn't plastic, it's Magnesium Alloy so it's super rigid and sturdy which is one of the main reasons I got it for my son. Seriously it's the best 13.3"Laptop on the market today.

How much did you pay, if I may ask?

The reason it feels so light is the material used. It's actually not plastic, the chassis is magnesium alloy which is the same material used in formula 1 car wheels. The very finest material, which boasts huge levels of durability, flexibility and of course - ultra light weight. Mag Alloy is warm to the touch so this is why people mistake it for plastic. The unit is also Milspec tested and comes with a Reliability Guarantee, which means if it develops a fault it will be replaced / repaired for free AND refunded in full.
Dynabook units are still engineered in Toshiba's factories - our units all still leverage the full heritage of Toshiba, the same people, the same processes the same DNA. Even with the acquisition of Foxconn - we still build our own units which is a lovely advantage and the reasons why Dynabook products have the lowest failure rate within the IT channel.
    Thanks for the review

The Laptop is Magnisium Alloy, one of the strongest metal alloy's and also one of the most expensive to produce, the metal is designed to be light and warm to the touch

Toshiba sold their PC and notebook business to Sharp likely because they needed the money to survive. They were selling quite a few of their divisions left and right. One big reason why was because of their ownership of Westinghouse Nuclear and how its bankruptcy due to lost business in the USA was quite literally killing Toshiba.
Toshiba managed to unload Westinghouse and they are very much a changed company with drastically far less emphasis on serving the consumer market than before. You can still find Toshiba branded products on the consumer market, such as TVs and small appliances, but those will have been designed, made, and supported by third parties using the Toshiba brand under license.

I like the design so much, sad they only have intel based models I'd love a powerful 5000 series Ryzen machine of these with dedicated graphics, I like Thinkpads as well but I'm tired of their old design which is holding me back, this one looks more modern more like a 2021 laptop.

At work I could choose between a Macbook pro and this one. I had the opportunity to use both for a couple of days and well decided to stay with this one. The touch screen and 2x1 capabilities made things easier for me plus all of the "extra" ports that it has. Which funny enough seems like even corporate laptops are getting fewer and fewer. New dell laptops only come with a single usb A port and 2 usb c which is crazy if you think that you will need to plug your usb headset, yubikey, dongles for your keyboard and or mouse, monitor etc.

We have had many issues with Dynabook have to send a large quantity back for warranty work. We have had one unit sent back multiple times spent more time with Dynabook than the customer. What we are annoyed about is that Dynabook will not extend the warranty or replace.

I'm still using an ASUS N73 - albeit with a 17" monitor - but it weighs around 3.5KGS !!! It's like a "permanent weight lifting" outfit......1KG sounds like a dream.

Thanks for the video, sir! Unfortunately, the only place I've seen Dynabook for sale in Vancouver, BC, sells only a few for about 2000 CAD and they all have 8th generation Intel processors. Yuck.

got this one replacing my Toshiba portege. Well, the screen is just almost unusable if you have light anywhere behind you, its just reflecting so much that you can barely read whats on the screen. So if you live in a cave, or use it mostly at night or in dark places, its fine. Otherwise almost unusable at daylight or in the office.

The mistake you made is buying a glossy display.
Any other laptop with glossy display has the same problem.
They look great when turned off and show good colors but you know the drawback.
