I have a habit of playing electric guitar unplugged that was ingrained in me as a longtime apartment dweller. For some reason the other tenants never took kindly to amplification. If only you had been my neighbor back then. So much stuff I would have learned with my ear to the wall. "Hey Joey. I picked up the morning paper for you. Could you turn your amp up a little?"
Hahaha! I’m telling you, I’m super happy my neighbors are very relaxed and okay with my playing… otherwise I’d be tied to headphones, which is never fun. 😅
A certain volume has to be reached. You know it when you get there.

I feel exactly the same. Joey stands out because of great choice of notes. I don't come across that very often. Another example to me is Doug Rappoport. Both great tones, melodies, technique. Joey more bluesy and Doug a bit more shred but both refreshingly great.

Less is more. When I began playing there was only volume treble, and bass.

What pentatonic are you riffing on?
Should be E minor pentatonic and some E aeolian.
@@joeyjooones it sounds like the 2nd chord is C so you can also play a C major scale, (I think C Lydian) !!
@@chris-chentrice2019 Nope. E Minor. G Major fits with E Minor, not C. C Major = A Minor.
