You make running look so effortless, Flora. That is insane pace and you make look like a slow run. Amazing. I am a plodder with 3 marathons under my belt ( Paris, London and New York ) so your pacing and relaxed style is totally inspirational. Thank you.
You make it look so easy! I've just started training for my first race and first 10k 6 months out so I've been watching your videos for inspo. Thank you! You are amazing!
Where my fastest 1k interval ‘on’ time is 4:04/km, before definitely needing a 1k ‘off’: big thumbs up to you for running a full 10k at that pace! Amazing stuff! 👍
Absolute brilliant achievement I’d love a time like that well done. That is a hell of a quick race as there were loads of people cheering u on who had completed the 10k
Amazing, congrats on the pb, that’s a brilliant time. The more experienced you get at running, the harder the pb’s become. I don’t know how you manage to film/ talk I’d be all over the place especially at that speed 😂 x
Hahah tbh I would probably run faster if I didn't film, but that wouldn't make me a very good vlogger. I'm hoping I've got a bit more in the tank for future PBs.
I’m training for my first 10k race in nearly a year on Boxing Day and I’m sticking to my 5-day a week training plan which is the most consistent I’ve been maybe ever! Couldn’t do it without watching your videos at night getting me excited for my runs the next morning ❤❤
Well done Flora, that's amazing!!! I'm doing a half marathon in Fleet, on 23 March, never done it before but it's meant to be good, quite quick but also pretty. Also finishes near a pub for a delicious Sunday lunch. I'm definitely going to try the runna app as I need to get a training routine sorted!!!
Hi, Flora! New'ish subscriber, and watched your videos from a few years back. You once said that your body was meant to do HIIT and power burst workouts, and couldn't see yourself doing endurance long-distance. Yet, here you are! Just goes to show how things do change and evolve, especially when fitness is the lifestyle. 💚
Haha you're so right! I always go on to eat my words 😂 fwiw I still think I'm built for power, but have managed to make the longer stuff work too 🤗 The body is remarkably adaptable!
Congratulations Flora!! Technically it was even a few seconds faster, with the non-chip timing!I could practicality feel the prolonged burn. I'm gong to be doing speed training over the winter, but mostly on a treadmill, to avoid ice and frigid cold. I'm really hoping it'll make my ultras faster. I can't wait to see how this affects your trail endurance/ performance! It's going to be a great 2023.
Well done Flora, you’re such an inspiration! You can’t get a train there… but the Connemarathon is a road ultra/full/half marathon in stunning Connemara, Galway, Ireland! It was my first marathon ever and was the most scenic and beautiful run I’ve ever been on. Very relaxed environment and a good number of people- not too big! Would highly recommend ☺️🍀
Over here in Northern Ireland quite a few half marathons and runs with small fields club I run for St Peters Ac Lurgan have a half marathon every year, called rock the lough and lakes brilliant route around craigavon lakes and go out to Lough neagh and back to the lakes think under 200 ran the half marathon this year I was one of them.
oh huge well done lovely, that's super impressive! 😍 yay PB!! 💪🏻 shows that the hard work you've put in over the weeks has def been worth it! As for trail running, hurrah to get back to it! I was going to suggest the Milton Keynes Marathon (or half marathon) but they are on the 1st Bank holiday in May (so 1st May 23) so might be wrong timing for you. I hope you find something fun. x
Fab run Flora. In terms of races, it's not a Half or Marathon distance, but you should check out my Running Clubs 10 mile Trail Race, which is a mix of gravel track and road. So might be a different challenge to think about. It's called the NF10 and is held in the New Forest, by The New Forest Runners. We used to hold it as a summer race but due to nesting birds and new Forestry Rulings we've had to move it to the Autumn. Date tbc but probably end of October 2023.
Good job. 'F me', my feelings exactly. I finished just ahead of you, in 42:38. I definitely did not negative split, so you were catching me, all the time. Season's Best for me and a good time for my age (61),
I have to chuckle you saying 7am is early. I have to get up at 4.30am to get a run in. Living in Central Queensland Australia, it's just too hot any later than that. Congrats on your PB!
Fantastic effort, I don't like the shorter distances anymore, I don't like the hurt (but happy to do it training for Intervals)😕. My favourite HM's are Vale of York and Humber bridge HM and locol to me. Run by local clubs, not massive but still maybe to big for you. Have a Google.
Hey Flora!! Well done!!!!! - Fancy the Cambridge half marathon in March? It’s supposed to be nice and flat and a PB guaranteed course.. I will try it for the first time next year xx
Ah did you race this year? Yeah I couldn't get the pace on my watch either, so was hard to know how I should be running at all! Well done on your run 👏🏼
Is it polite to ask a girl her age , I've just been running since July, hadn't run in years but I' just ran the mo run in Glasgow on Sunday in 50mins 44secs.. which absolutely burst me .. I'm 54 yrs old and 14 stone ,( Not fat , Not fit ) but the difference between how you looked running and at the end of your event were polar opposite from how I looked and how I finished .. but I did finish and happy enough for now, hence I'm researching TH-cam on a Friday evening.. Well done you, again 👏 👍 😀
Great PB Flora!! Well done! I got 47 mins there a few years ago. What about Newport Marathon?! Obvs v easy from Bristol and on the same day as the London Marathon!
Excellent 10k Flora, that was a fast strong finish, good time, interesting to know where you came what position for age & female, good luck with your next adventures 🥳🌲🌿👣🏃🏽♂️🍀😀
I’d love to run a trail half marathon - probably make it my goal for 2023 🎉 I haven’t ran more like 9 miles and I haven’t ran with someone else before, I’d love to start
I’ve done the coffee thing before where I buy one the day before in case I don’t have resources to make it in the morning #securitybasics 😂but really though! (“Wisdom”, one might say!)
Congrats on achieving your P.B. Just think what you could of done on 10 weeks worth of training 😉. I'm trying to run slow to run fast at the moment. Let's see how that goes. Great video. 👍
Do you have any experience with Garmin Coach at all? I have been using Runna for the last couple of weeks and have loving it, but and trying to see how they compare.
Heya! Aw yay! Obviously everyone is completely different wrt shoe preferences, but these are the hoka carbon x3 and for trails I wear hoka mafate speed 4
Haha yes you're right! I thought the same, but as I couldn't see what pace I was going throughout I had to guess 😅 but the 2 halves were pretty even time wise!
It's a great shame going forward in life as apps, robots, computers etc replace people's jobs making it cheaper for us but those who the cheaper alternatives replace are out of work. However good job on the pb.
Apps will never be able to fully replace people, but the way I see it, it's making the sport more accessible to people who otherwise might not be able to afford a proper coach. I am not one to gatekeep.
You make running look so effortless, Flora. That is insane pace and you make look like a slow run. Amazing. I am a plodder with 3 marathons under my belt ( Paris, London and New York ) so your pacing and relaxed style is totally inspirational. Thank you.
Wow you were looking so strong out there, amazing race and congrats on the PB!!!
Thank you! I thought I looked so slow in this video haha, but it didn't feel it! Thank you 😊
You make it look so easy! I've just started training for my first race and first 10k 6 months out so I've been watching your videos for inspo. Thank you! You are amazing!
It looks like i'm running super easy in these clips but I assure you, it felt hard! You've got this, keep it up!
so fast! congrats on the PB! Great content getting Ben to film.
Thanks so much!!
I hear you! Nutrition away from home is always tricky, especially breakfast. Congrats on the PB!
Thank you so much!
Where my fastest 1k interval ‘on’ time is 4:04/km, before definitely needing a 1k ‘off’: big thumbs up to you for running a full 10k at that pace! Amazing stuff! 👍
Haha tbh when I'm doing intervals I feel like that too! But racing you've tapered and have all the adrenaline too! It all helps 😊
Absolute brilliant achievement I’d love a time like that well done.
That is a hell of a quick race as there were loads of people cheering u on who had completed the 10k
Thank you! Yes my time was really quite slow in the grand scheme of that race! Lots of speedy people
Amazing, congrats on the pb, that’s a brilliant time. The more experienced you get at running, the harder the pb’s become. I don’t know how you manage to film/ talk I’d be all over the place especially at that speed 😂 x

Sounds awesome! Pub lunch after a race is always a winner. Great idea giving the Runna app a go - let me know how you get on!
Hi, Flora! New'ish subscriber, and watched your videos from a few years back. Congrats Flora. Great relaxed running style.
strong race, fun watching! I am getting ready for a 10K this morning.
Thank you! Hope you enjoyed your run!
Congratulations Flora!! Technically it was even a few seconds faster, with the non-chip timing!I could practicality feel the prolonged burn. Thanks Kelly! Fingers crossed for a knockon positive effect out on the trails 🤗

Ooooh I do love Connemara! Thanks for the suggestion, I'll check it out! :)
I will be happy to see you on the trails again. Watching the road running is giving me ptsd 😂
In all seriousness that is a great time! Well done
😂😂😂 sorry haha, I'm back to trails now! Serious trails for this week's vlog 🤗
Excited for this, my all time 10k PB is something I'm very happy about (granted it was when I was much much fitter) hope you smash it!
Thank you! A PB always stands, no matter when you did it. Something to always be proud of!
Awesome pace Flora 🎉to pick up my pace I’ll have to microwave my coffee too - staggering pace !! Well done
Hahah thank you!!
Great work Flora, excellent to see it all come together and nice to negative split it too 👌
Smashed that, great time! I'm currently at 46:11, will aim to hit sub 45 or close in new year!
👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼 go get it!
Congratulations on the PB Flora! I've also been doing some speed work the last few weeks - it's felt brutal but hopefully will lead to gains
Thank you! Yes it absolutely will, just keep it up! 👏🏼
Well done, Flora. Congratulations!
Absolutely mighty!! You crushed it!!
Thank you so much! 🥰

Thank you so much! Yes maybe a little late for me. But hopefully plenty of years of running left!
Fantastic speed at the end flora 🙌
Great effort and congratulations on a 10k PB.
Top pace that.
Thank you so much!
Amazing!!! Well done.
Nice job! I have that same fear about having to stop mid-race!
It would be SO annoying! In an ultra it's no problem at all, but in a 10k it's the end of a PB attempt 🥲
Hi Flora and all the runners .A good race with the excellent score. Here is my like. A nice week for everyone. 🌞🏃♀🌞
Fab run Flora. In terms of races, it's not a Half or Marathon distance, but you should check out my Running Clubs 10 mile Trail Race, which is a mix of gravel track and road. epic, well done you!! It was a tough one (surprisingly breezy down that bottom stretch) but you smashed it!
@@FloraBeverley when the finish line is in sight, then you find reserves you couldn't find earlier!
Smashed it!! Congratulations 👏👏
Well done, with such a time here in France you'd podium all the local races (100-200 total racers).
Haha sadly not so here - so many quick runners! But great to set my sights on bigger goals!
Congrats on the PB!
I have to chuckle you saying 7am is early. I have to get up at 4.30am to get a run in. Living in Central Queensland Australia, it's just too hot any later than that. Congrats on your PB!
Haha fair. I guess it's what you're used to! I usually run mid morning or lunch time.
Congrats on the PB 👏 Manchester for a spring marathon but massive entry numbers so may not suit you!
Haha i feel the same. It's very satisfying, but fills me with anxiety in the lead up! I'll check them out, thank you :)
Would suggest Newport Marathon. Fast and flat, train from Bristol and easy to get into. Changed to Spring for 2023.
Congratulations on pb. How about Plain Crazy in Warminster at the end of December? A bit of road, some trails ,20ish km. keep up the great videos.
Hey Flora!!
Well done!!!!! - Fancy the Cambridge half marathon in March? It’s supposed to be nice and flat and a PB guaranteed course.. I will try it for the first time next year xx
Oooh I'll take a look! Cambridge is soooooo far away, I might as well go to France 😂 but will consider it!
@@FloraBeverley 😅😂😂
I’ll put you up in Suffolk! Hahahaha France might be better they have cheese and wine 😂
A fast half marathon for a PB . Try the Scottish Half Marathon on September 24th in the out skirts of Edinburgh.. very fast and flat 👍👍..
Well done on a PB, excellent. Best wishes.
Well done. It's a fast course and difficult not to get excited at the start with the fast runners. I went out a bit too fast myself
Ah did you race this year? Yeah I couldn't get the pace on my watch either, so was hard to know how I should be running at all! Well done on your run 👏🏼
Yeah. I'm not in shape, so no PB but nice to be better than last time. Will probably train 16 weeks on 10K and see what happens
@kgkd oooh yeah great idea!! Almost guaranteed PB that way! 👏🏼
Maybe Exeter Marathon? It's close to Bristol and small event - 2 loops, nice scenery xx
thanks for the suggestion, I'll check it out! :)

Great PB Flora!! Well done! I got 47 mins there a few years ago.
What about Newport Marathon?! Obvs v easy from Bristol and on the same day as the London Marathon!
Oooh I'll check that one out, thanjs for the heads up!
Nice one! Also spotted Matt Fox!
Was he wearing the pink Soar running top? There were lots of speedy people there!
Excellent 10k Flora, that was a fast strong finish, good time, interesting to know where you came what position for age & female, good luck with your next adventures 🥳🌲🌿👣🏃🏽♂️🍀😀
I'm not really sure what position I came, but it was nowhere near the front! Lots of fast people out on that course :)
Well done on your pb xx
Thank you lovely!
Amazing running and very nice finish 💪
4:43 "On your mark, go!" What happened to "get set"?
I know 😂 I was so surprised too! 🙈
Literally just wanted to ask this! Next time they'll do it backwards :D
Rotterdam marathon is April 16th and has a direct link by train from London. It’s know for speed, despite the 2 bridges😅
Same advise from me..
Well done on the pb
Congrats!
I’d love to run a trail half marathon - probably make it my goal for 2023 🎉 I haven’t ran more like 9 miles and I haven’t ran with someone else before, I’d love to start
Great idea!! It's so much fun 😍
I’ve done the coffee thing before where I buy one the day before in case I don’t have resources to make it in the morning #securitybasics 😂but really though! (“Wisdom”, one might say!)
😂 glad it's not just me!
Brilliant PB!
On to sub 40!...Or back to the treails.
Haha back to the trails for me, that's where I'm happiest 😍

See this is why I like marathons. Short races hurt!!
Hahaha it's true! But marathons hurt even more (if you race them!)
@@FloraBeverley yes that's true but the hurt is delayed 😅
Amazing well done
Hey Flora! What running shoes do you recommend? Both trail ones and road ones? Your videos always make me want to go for a run after I watch them! X
Heya! Aw yay!
Obviously everyone is completely different wrt shoe preferences, but these are the hoka carbon x3 and for trails I wear hoka mafate speed 4
Edinburgh is supposed to be the "fastest" marathon in the UK area might be fun, says it starts downhill👀
You do have Sri Chimnoy races. Do they do pancakes there?
No pancakes that I saw sadly! I've realised that these races are actually pretty well known haha - there I was thinking it was a small local race.
Well done :)
Flora I have a Manchester entry if you fancy it. I'm doing Boston so can't do it, buy can sell you it cheap
Здравствуйте! Hi ! 👍👍👍👍👍👍🏃🏃🏃🏃🏃🏃🏃🏃😉😉😉😉😉😉😉😉😉😉😉👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍😊😊😊😊😊😊😊😊😊😊😊😊😊😊😊😊😊
Any mental tips
Well done 👍 2 dates, or a banana is enough for 10K race.
My coach would have said that the start was to slow if the finish can be that much faster😅🤷♀️ I would say a sub 42 is easily possible for you🏅
Haha yes you're right! I thought the same, but as I couldn't see what pace I was going throughout I had to guess 😅 but the 2 halves were pretty even time wise!
Super beautiful ❤
Meat marathon 🤣 congrats on the PB 👏
I'm such an idiot 😂

Hello how are you nice
Also a bit shit making you run past all the people who already finished. That's why I avoid races that do laps or double backs. But good job 👍
Haha oh I don't mind - extra motivation to get to the end!
If you decide to come to the states for any of your trail runs check out @aravaipa running. Tons of distances and beautiful locations
Is that Matt from @SweatElite? 😂
Apparently so!
