I knew the band when I was toddler in Frankfurt cause they had common friends with my parents. Their record "The Quays of Galway Town" was my first record". I must have danced around my little orange-white record player to it for hundreds of hours. The first concert I remember was a wild geese concert, too. Their music is a part of me.
I think I saw them in the North of Germany by the end of the 80s. It was a very small concert with maybe a 100 people in the audience. They quickly had everyone up on their feet and dancing, which is a miracle considering that the Northern German people are very reserved usually.
Wow. Thanks for posting this. I haven't heard this in thirty five years or more. I used to sing my kids to sleep with Fred The Mouse. Again, thank you so much.
Are you guys the band that played in Pacific City, Oregon, at the River House, in the ....70's (80's??!!) It's a great memory of a group with the same name. It was packed in there!!
Hi there, Thanks for uploading this! A great album I've been looking for ages. Do you have their last album - Early Days? I've never heard that! Cheers, Simon
I met Norman King in Wurzburg Germany back in 1976 when the Wild Geese were playing at the Omnibus. Funny as hell guy and the only one in the band who knew how to tell a decent joke. He wasn't bad with the spoons either. This proof hes still crazy as hell th-cam.com/video/URFEc7OYONM/w-d-xo.html

Thanks for posting this album. I've been looking for I'll Remember You This Way for ages. Masterful playing on this record.
