0:52 🖐 You speak right from my soul.
A touch really is a beautifuI gesture. I hardly know this feeling anymore, because at home we show affection mostly verbally. I feel socially akward, so I don't really meet up with friends.
It's depressing, because it makes me feel kinda apathic and disconnected to the world around me. I kinda have difficulties to sort my own feelings or the feelings of others correctly. I'm sure that's partly due to little physical contact to others.
When I tell my family that I feel lonely, because of that they look at me as If I'm pathetic and say how you have so much people around you to talk to. That really saddens me.
The Family of my ex boyfriend is the complete opposite. They regularly show affection and are very open minded. It was always so heart-warming to see how they treated each other.
Even small gestures can brighten up someone's day. Whenever I sit next to elderly on a bench and start a conversation or stroke their shoulder they give me a genuine, heart-warming smile.
Thank you so much for your Talk ❤ The beauty and Impact of a caring human touch is rarely mentioned in modern society

I live in a nursing home and the staff have to be careful with who they touch in what way. I can count on 1 hand the amount of hugs I've had in the last year.

      That is not ideal...
      Touch is good for health.
What kind of nursing home is this?

People have no idea what its like to live a life without knowing what it is to be touched....A simple caress in the face, or a simple hug, you don't know what its like to dream about having someone that loves you do that to you, someting that looks so trivial to most, yet it looks so out of reach for some, almost like a unreachable dream :(

      Play Saved the Child
.. i say of an intervention.
And when you play... you touch and trust and sense... and it has effect on the whole body and its biology and the mentality.
      PLAY SAVED THE CHILD.

I agree with this 100%, I just don't understand people who say they don't ever want to be touched by someone else... Are they not human loll?

Oh God! You guys can’t even imagine what does it mean losing touch. I have a haphephobia (the fear of touching or of being touched) and can’t touch even my mom. And I don’t know what to do.

Me too. Since your comment was posted over a year ago, I just wanted to ask if you have found a way to beat it or to get comfortable with it? And how?
I don't want to regret not hugging my grandma when I still had the chance to but I'm just too scared.

This is why making Shakopee womans correctional facility never should've become a no touch facility.... Women need touch. Even A simple high five.... so sad..
