Being a multi shipper in this fandom is a ride. The manga and anime can support many a ship and it's almost hard to keep track of them all. I love a lot of them. Though the amount of hate a ship can get is also strong or at least in the western audience. I prefer to just enjoy the possibilities.
There are so many characters with interesting personalities and designs. Multi shipping in this fandom is a blast!

Deku is an amazing fandom bicycle lol. His happiness over just having friends and his want to help everyone ever make it easy to ship him with pretty much everyone. And his backstory is just tragic enough to make him turning villain plausible so you can even ship him with the villains if that's what floats your boat lol.

Yeah, I'm a total multi shipper, polyshipper and platonicshipper so I can see the goods and bad views of many ships. Though one of the first things I thought as I watched the series was that those 2 ships would likely be the dominant pairings, particularly with the elements of both rivalry and friendship in both. Bound to happen lol.

I ship them because I am weak to this shipping dynamic: the bright eyed, enthusiastic protagonist who is a high key dork and the calm, cool, and collected rival who is a low key dork. I eat that up.
I don't ship BakuDeku, because Bakugou is not my favorite kind of character, but I love his character development. I was put off by him in the beginning until after the first training session where he cried and then his development just kept going until that villain arc and UGH *chef kiss* SO GOOD. And I generally just avoid the "abusive" fandom wank around him and the ship wars of course.

1. Sadly I find that the bnha fandom has a lot of gating and shaming/lecturing going on, especially when is comes to shipping. :/ People feel the need to explain themselves before and after posting or that they cannot interact with others in fandom without aggressive judgement.
2. However, I’ve found a lot of great stuff in this fandom as well. It’s size helps when it comes to finding great fics and other fanworks with whatever your preference is.
3. A lot of artists on Instagram work within AUs for bnha, and it’s definitely worth checking out ppl.

I had no idea (some) tododeku fans were the part of the antis inthe fandom. Thank god I ain't in it lol. Besides that, even tho I can also multi ship, I adore this ship. Is so friggin soft and there are so much depth, and relationship development to explore; so much nuance 😭❤🙏🏼 love them. I'm of those who also ships kiribaku lol The ship not only made me like bakugou a little bit, but I feel like kirishima helps him be better, as well as bakugou motivates him to grow. Idk. I feel like it's a very mutual in the semse of growth and trust, and I find that lovely.
EEE! I've been waiting for this video! I've only recently gotten into My Hero Academia, and even more recently began reading Tododeku fics.
It's not my main pairing (that would be Kiribaku, with Shinkami and Momojirou tying for second) but it's one that I've begun getting more interested in.
I didn't ship it much while watching the show the first time, but I'm currently on a rewatch, and I can definitely see where shippers are coming from!
I personnaly "ship" bakudeku. only as a "unrequited love". Like bakougo realising he likes deku, but deku doesnt cause.... Idk for me the fact that he bullied him and told him to kill himself....

Oh man, so many ships with this series and it's amazing. Eraserhead/Present Mic, Eraserhead/All Might, TodoMomo, KiriBaku, Uraraka/Iida and Uraraka/Tsuyu just to name a few that I really like.
TodoDeku never clicked for me personally, maybe because I do like Deku and Uraraka's chemistry so much, but I very much like the aesthetic of it.
I agree on your last paragraph. Tododeku was never a ship that really caught my eye. I was more interested In Uraraka and Deku. But the relationship Todoroki and Deku have is very admirable. They see each other as friends to help out when they need it.

As someone who loves ot3 or more poly ships this fandom is great for that! I especially like dekubowl lol! This fandom is interesting though in the difference between the west and east as to what pairing is the most popular. I had no idea that existed until I read a post on tumblr about it. I like tododeku for the most part. Except for fics where bakugou is demonized. I just don’t like to see complex characters boiled down to one characteristic!i

My Hero Academia is actually one of the first fandoms where I don't really ship the popular ships. It's basically the first fandom where I don't ship any of the gay pairings which is surprising for me. I see Todoroki and Izuku as friends I don't see them progressing as more I also don't ship KiriBaku I kind of see the appeal but I mostly see them as friends. I ship the straight ships like TodoMomo,Kaachko,KiriMina,and Izucho they're just more appealing to me.
Is tododeku still the most popular? I think bakudeku has the most ao3 fics leading them by like 1000. Personally never really liked tododeku , though it is cute! I think todoroki and momo fit each other a lot more !

I’m one of those people who doesn’t really like Bakudeku. I don’t see how it could ever be a healthy relationship, or why deku would even want to be with his childhood bully. I’ve been bullied, maybe it hits too close to home. Even though I have those opinions I have nothing against the shippers. They are valid like everyone else.

I'm a big fan of this series and come back to it regularly now. I'm actually a multishipper in this one and can read almost any pairing, though TodoDeku is more prevalent in the west and it shows in the number of fic pairings. I'm down for any pairing as long as it's well done and anything Kaminari Denki focused is just icing on the cake for me because I love him more than I should. Once Amajiki Tamaki is released I'm sure my obsession with him will surpass Kaminari's.

My favorite ship is Shindeku, They haven't interacted much but they seem so similar. They both grew up bullied and shunned, have a BURNING desire to be a hero and they both have big wild hair (lol). Their personalities clash so well together (in my opinion) with Shinsou being the sarcastic witty guy and Izuku being the rambling sweet guy. I like the fact that they can relate to each other and give each other the love that they need or crave.
(I just really like this ship hopefully I could explain it properly)
Whenever she mentions The Multi-Shippers, I simultaneously feel very confronted and very grateful. It's very nice to not care at all about shipping wars (and being able to avoid the toxicity that usually comes with that), and being able to just enjoy almost every ship people can come up with.

I didn't have any ships until the sports festival, and then I was solo TodoDeku, but then Deku vs Kacchan 2 happened and I started shipping BakuDeku, and then the current manga events got me hardcore shipping BakuDeku, I like both ships, but if I had to choose, it'd have to be BakuDeku, I'd still be sad, because I also love TodoDeku...

As a VLD fandom alumni, the BakuDeku/TodoDeku rivalry gives me INTENSE war flashbacks to the Klance*/Sheith ship wars...it got to the point where I quit Tumblr altogether, something I have maintained since. I really like how you always list the pro's and con's of the ship, it really shows the middle ground and keeps the peace plus it leaves you thinking and learning more about what happens in and out of the ships. I ship Tododeku but I rececently discovered that I like the MHA OTP3 of TodoBakuDeku, meaning Bakugou/Midoriya/Todoroki. It was just a ship that sneak attacked me and has me hooked. i haven't watched your videos for a while but always get so excited when I see a new one pop up. Please keep up the good work.
