I like your idea of Val escaping/disappearing for a while before potentially reuniting with Jon Snow. Val's got a ton of Rapunzel symbolism in her arc, and in the story Rapunzel is exiled by the sorceress who imprisoned her and is separated from her prince before they reunite and live happily ever after. Interestingly enough in Rapunzel, upon her reunion with her prince, Rapunzel heals his blindness (which he sustained while trying to escape from the sorceress who'd tricked him into thinking she was Rapunzel). I wonder if there will be a further connection to the fairytale and we'll see Val heal some sort of physical ailment Jon suffers, possibly at Melisandre's hand. I couldn't see Mel blinding Jon but she could certainly do something else. In any case, this was a great video Grease. Nice job!!
Val is a hard headed woman from a harsh environment, she wants to save a life. Ask yourself how evil you think she is when Mel and or Stannis burns Shireen alive...
I really hope Val lives and gets together with Jon Snow at the end! I think Mance Rayder will pass the torch of "King Beyond The Wall" to Jon and Jon will take Val as his queen.
I’ve theorized that Val is in the story bc originally Dany would have come to Westeros much sooner (and originally originally before that Jon was going to have a romantic relationship with an older Arya at the Wall. So George seems to have had in mind all along Jon has to fall in love with someone at the Wall while he’s lord commander (in an echo of the Night’s King story). He has plans to do stuff with that. The plan might even have been that Dany was secretly his sister whom he falls in love with. But I’ve written up a plausible theory that Val could be the long lost daughter of Ashara Dayne and Rhaegar Targaryen, making her a true princess, and Jon’s half sister, with magical Targaryen and Dayne blood, and explaining why she is named “Val” (it’s short for Valyria in honor of her identity). While I am not exactly sure where things are going with her, as I have started to explain, she can fulfill plot points and play a role that an older Arya could have played at the Wall and that Dany could have played if she had sailed to Westeros and gone to the North without making herself queen in Meereen. In short, it’s crucial to George’s plans for Jon that he fall in love with a woman-probably one he is related to!-at the Wall while he’s Lord Commander. It’s likely he will have a sexual relationship with her and quite likely he will get her pregnant. This will mean he is breaking his Night’s Watch vows. Perhaps it will be his motivation for renouncing the Night’s Watch to become Lord of Winterfell instead. Or perhaps it will be his motivation for ending the prohibition on marriage for the entire Night’s Watch. But it will certainly have big effects on the choices he makes…. That’s why the character is necessary in the story. -A Theory of Ice & Fire on quora
Val is an important female Wildling something I'm sure GRRM will be keen to keep in the narrative for diversity reasons if nothing else. Its one DEI decision I can definitely get behind. To say she is of little significance or importance does her little justice in my opinion. She is obviously well respected amongst the freefolk & capable in her own right. Tormund is not the only important Wildling leader as Mance himself stating when he suggested just as many if not more Wildlings would follow the Weeper instead of Tormund.
I’ve written a whole long theory that Val is the long lost daughter of Ashara Dayne and Rhaegar Targaryen-explaining her gorgeous looks, blonde hair, regal bearing, and name that seems short for Valyria. So she could be King’s Blood-Targaryen King’s blood-and be Jon’s half-sister. Which is so George Martin with Jon being smitten with her if she helps bring Jon back to life and they become lovers. I’ve also written up a second theory that in Val’s mind, she’s already married to Jon according to Wildling culture bc he moved her into his chambers for her protection (without her consent) and forbade her to leave. So she now considers Jon her husband. -A Theory of Ice & Fire for quora where my Val and other theories are written up
I’m really upset because I feel like these types of prediction videos will never be proven or disproven as George seems ro be not able to finish Winds at all at this point.
A part of me thinks that somehow because there are many parallels of Jon and Dany that their lovers also parallel each other Drogo and Ygritte and daario with Val (Dario and Val both somehow being revealed to be monstrous in a way an issue with morality) Theres also the moon and stars talk with Val when she is described. A part of me thinks she’s extremely important with her as a representation as connection to the old gods that she is true and that is shown with ghost, where as Melisandre had to trick ghost. A part of me feels she will be the only person that knows Jon is in ghost body. There’s a lot I can write on this subject I’ll be here forever. There’s also one more thing jon wants Val but he rejects it constantly which is something that stands out. She could pass for a highborn but she’s not highborn as well. I know Val will be important down the line as George has said at one point so it can go in either direction as far as concerned. Sorry for the jumbled rambling here I probably should’ve organized my thoughts and not just word vomitted everything on this video but I’m at work typing under a table 😅😂
[ Ned Stark and Ashara Dayne gave birth to both Val and Jon that is a theory that I share with the order of the green hand which I agree on a lot of things with though I am more sympathetic to the children of the forest because they are the indigenous beings of westeros ] [ and I also believe that John Stark did not actually die and that tormund giantsbane was glamored because Her Holiness Lady Melisandre needs his blood to fight against the others ]
Definitely breaking my vows for Val

Tormund is actually in the Castle Black now, drinking with the wildling chieftains in the shield hall, Val don't have to go far to call him
I forgot that fuck good catch!

Unlike Val, Shireen has king's blood. Like the baby Gilly took.

I am very biased but I want to hear about Justin Massey.
