The turncloaking during the battle could work. Anglo-Scottish marcher lords did it so much that soldiers would go into battle with one country’s flag sewn over the other’s on their jerkins so they could rip it off and change sides if they were losing.

Thank you for the videos, it is so nice to talk about the so many secondary and tertiary characters that are still very interesting. You are so right, I see it too - Aegon will not even have to fight for the capital, they will open the gates for him, while Cersei will escape barely with her life. But I am curious what GRMM will decide about the details, as it can go many ways - very dark, like both Tommen and Marcella die, the high sparrow is killed, etc.. or not so dark. But for me this is the clearest line in the book, probably because it does not involve magic at all.

I'm enjoying this series. Well done. I do want to point out that at this time in the story Mace Tyrell and his army are in or around King's Landing awaiting Margaeries trial. If she were to be found guilty, all hell would break loose inside the city.

This was a fun one Grease. Personally, I like the idea of Cersei losing her trial and having to flee because it'd be a full circle moment in her relationship with Tyrion because she'd find herself in the exact position she forced him into. Only difference is Tyrion was actually innocent and Cersei's not. On a seperate note, I'm not as confident in Qyburn's loyalty as you are. I think he gives a good illusion of being an ardent supporter; but in actuality he's working for somebody and helping them bring her down from the inside (*coughs, House Martell). So I guess you could say, from my perspective, House Martell infiltrated House Lannister's court a long time ago lol. Say ot all to say, at some point Qyburn's cutting Cersei loose lol. I agree, I don’t think Cersei will blow up the Septa, I think she ask for a meeting under peaceful terms and kills high sparrow and some Tyrell’s including Marg then the common people hear about young griff coming and they revolt and she flees to Casterly Rock. I think the faith either falls apart after the high sparrow or joins young griff against Danny

House of the draggin is a downgrade compared to the story told to us in fire and blood, the dialogue is worse in my opinion, the effectiveness of not just words but actions like after blood and cheese in the books everyone was devastated ofc, daemon did a strategic heist not just an assasination he showed them they not safe in they own castle he did it through stealth mode and did not need to attend the planning basically they neglect the power of the characters, the fact that rhaenyra has alot of loyal people under her belt and so does daemon even on small council they neglect all this the agencies of the characters.. their words they deliver is backwards and ineffective i even think aegon should have called his grandfather in the throne room 😂 but thats my opinion but the dialogue the words they gloss over in fire and blood, hbo house of the dragon just dissapoints, reason i talk so much about it because i had so much faith in it and it just dissapoints it minimizes death, and the CIVIL WAR itself they neglect strategy, and diplomacy they neglect the sons of rhaenyra because they did more especially jace now he is soon to die when he proved himself a worthy heir its very dissapointing compared to books

Also when you think about how Beric had forgotten most of his old pre death life it would make sense.

You should consider getting into Stormlight Archive/Cosmere. I recently got into it and it so awesome. The fandom is not as well developed in terms of having theorizing and facilitating discussion on youtube and stuff like that compared to ASOIAF. It would be cool to see more of the ASOIAF people crossing over into it. Plus the author very prolific and finishes books and cares a lot about his fans. He released like a third of the latest book online for free months before the official release.

[ I love the idea of an Arya Stark sequel because then I can actually see my favorite house and all of its Glory House Farwynd and then have Arya Stark and Ajax Farwynd marry Arya Stark because both of them are wargs and then and then both of them explore the two other continents that are between westeros and essos and then have her meet the descendants of Brandon the ship right and the other Northern houses that came with him, and maybe do a Bolton restoration and have her maybe come back like two or three decades later and in the show that way, and get involved in the politics in a different land and you could also introduce an avian race as well in it and you could introduce the squishers and a whole bunch of other you know magical creatures that haven't really been touched on in the books or on the show ]

another interesting point: what happens to Jon in this timeline? because if Robb’s there at the wall with him and Stannis, he’s suddenly not that valuable anymore. he’s no longer Ned Stark’s only supposed male descendant. he’s probably seen as a traitor by Stannis as well as the Watch. i think, in this situation, Stannis would use Jon as a hostage to negotiate with Robb. he would pardon Jon for his “crimes” if Robb agreed to bend the knee. Catelyn (if she’s at the wall in this scenario, which is a BIG if-she’s more likely back at Winterfell with Bran, Arya, snd Rickon), being who she is, would yell at Robb not to do it. i think a lot of his advisors would echo this sentiment. Robb would probably bend the knee anyway because of the love he has for his brother. this would probably cause a lot of uproar in the north snd possibly a civil war since Robb gave up the north’s independence on behalf of a bastard in the night’s watch, creating all kinds of political tension. that’s as far as i’ll go with this because at this point i’m just writing fanfiction and getting very far away from the core topic of the video. just food for thought :) ETA: Jon also probably doesn’t become Lord Commander in this timeline since his role in the Wall’s defense is diminished. that role, unfortunately, probably goes to Janos Slynt. he probably wouldn’t overtly try to execute Jon because he’s a coward and Robb’s literally right there. he’d still be incredibly difficult to work with and might cause trouble defending the wall from the Others.
