By the reaver chapter, it was my favorite book, and Victarion was my favorite character. It was easy to understand how Vic felt that was what he was made for. It was probably the most descriptive battle in any of the books, and it made me want more battles like that. Vic is simple, but smart in his own way. He knew Euron was weakening his enemies with the lordships he gave them. And is smart enough to look past a lifetime of superstition, letting the red priest become his right hand man. This will put anyone out. Also she is no longer the feeble 13-years old girl and although she ended up in a loving relationship, she knows she was sold and feels strongly about that. I can see Victorian accepting to serve her, as he would think he has more time to charm her in to accepting him as husband (as his opinion of himself is quite high). But we have seen him empathize with people he’s fought against like Talbert Serry, who he searches for after the battle he also thinks that any one of the women being dishonored at Hewetts Castle could be Serry’s wife, so there is a lot of depth I think with Victarions character. I think if he changes it will be to a more neutral character where we see him do slightly more good than bad, not a wholly good person like Dany or Jon. Again, thank you for commenting, I love discussing my theories with others!
He can't survive Slaver's Bay because he's already dead. He died in his cabin on the Iron Victory in ADwD from the festering wound he took in the Shield Islands and maybe also whatever Euron/The Dusky Woman managed to dose him with afterwards. Moquarro revived him, and he's too dumb to know that died and got yanked back into his body with fire magic. I've long imagined a scene in which Barristan or one of his young knights of Meereen runs him through with a lance at top speed and Vic gets back to his feet, snaps off the lance, yanks the offending party off their horse and smothers him with his magic charcoal fist. I'm not saying that's exactly what's going to happen, but I do think we're going to get a violent, public exhibition of the Lord of Light's powers through Vic.
This would be incredibly badass. There's also theories with people like Melisandre that they are basically the fire version of The Others so it could be very possible this happened to Vic
@@roebuckmckinney Thank you for commenting! I like the fire wight theory a ton but I have a few issues with it. After his hand is remade we do see Victarion clearly reflecting on things that happened way in the past, like his defeat at fair isle and Euron’s affair with his third wife, and Beric states he barely remembers his castle in the dornish marches or his wife, which are events that happened around a year ago when Beric said this. This memory loss may be something that progressively affect Vic as the time passes from his resurrection though. I also think he doesn’t seem to claim he feels a part of him missing, like Beric does, we see Victarion’s personality stays the same, his disdain for slavery is still there after his hand is remade. I think what Moqorro did was skin Victarion with the iron/silver knife and remake his hand. The hand injury was going to be fatal, but it’s unlike what Beric went through like being stabbed through the chest with a lance or being hung where he is totally dead, Vic was alive and conscious. So I think Moqorro only required a lesser amount of blood magic for the ritual, and the sacrifice could’ve come immediately after when he orders Maester Kerwin to be killed. We see the hand change looks after words, from a burnt smoking hand to a burnt pork looking hand, and he only references the strength from it after the supposed blood sacrifice of Kerwin. I really like your idea of Victarion tanking a lance to the chest though, as that would be an awesome scene.
@@TheW1ndblown See, I think that the memory loss/loss of sense of self thing for Beric might be more attributable to him dying and being revived again and again, like a rerecording losing fidelity, so Vic retaining his memories and sense of self doesn't put me off the hypothesis. Lady S is no longer a motherly figure, but she definitely remembers Brienne and how she sent her away with Jaime and the oath that Brienne swore, as well as all the people that she's avenging, so I think that's evidence that you keep your memory to some extent when you get revived, at least after the first time. As for Vic's hand, he was definitely a goner until Moquorro stepped up. Based on the amount of pus that was being drained out of it, it was only a matter of time before the infection turned into sepsis and multiple organ failure. Even amputation couldn't do anything at that point. I could see Moqorro hastening the process with his knife and reviving him as a way of binding him to the cause of Rh'llor, but I'll need to hear GRRM say "Oh, yeah, Vic is still alive" before I think he's not a Wight. I just realized now that another potential Wight (Jonny Snowpants up at Castle Black) also has a burned hand. Now I'm not one of those cats who thinks that everything is foreshadowing, but there you go.
There is the theory that the horn isn't to bind dragons to humans but humans to dragons (valyriens). Combined with the theory that euron made the war in slavers bay it would make sense. Think about it: First make a war where a lot of strong armys come to one place (meeren). Then use magic to take control over this armys. Now you have the biggest and best army of essos.
Yeah I mean I think you're on to something there because I always thought about how when his son blew the horn at the kingsmoot and everybody started chanting and voting for Euron... I mean how the hell do you think they controlled all them slaves in valyria for so long?? It had to have some type of blood magic tied to it until the first faceless man came along.
@readhead7649 I do really like that theory, but I think Moqorro wouldn’t allow that to happen, as he is really anti Euron. Unless his visions in the fire were misleading I don’t think he would let Victarion use the horn in the first place.
@readhead7649 oh yeah the dusky woman is totally a puppet for Euron. If he is not directly skin changing her himself, he definitely has some wizard or priests doing it for him.
@@bobmcbob9856 Definitely another parallel! Especially considering we have Dany at “Dragonstone” at the end of Dance. TWoW could be the beginning of her “Aegon’s Conquest”.
All this about not defending Victarion, honestly considering the world he lives in he can’t really be considered evil, I’d say he’s neutral already by the standards of Planetos
When the end finally does come, there will be four beings in total Left alive... John wick.... Cockroaches.... Barristan selmy.... And Victarion Ma'fucka'n Greyjoy. I like his chapters..he's one of my favorite characters because it's different.. also I like Areo Hotah aka the camera that rides lol
@@Rebel_Lord_Taron I really like Victarion’s chapters too, they are some of my favorites in Feast and Dance. I also think Barristan will live mainly because of his narrative utility to Dany, as George already killed off Aemon and Dany needs someone who knows a lot of details about her family’s past.
@TheW1ndblown yeah that's a good point there about barristan, that's what I was thinking but then something else occurred to me... You know she doesn't know really anybody from Westeros besides selmy and jorah.. how easy would it be for somebody to use info that's a spider gives them to lie to her and manipulate her... Cough cough...Euron... Also wouldn't it be kind of funny if she ran into a certain Knight that's looking for a sell sword company since the Golden Army is taken , and they were his original mission according to stannis.. so now he goes looking for one of the other cell sword companies except 90% of them are at meereen... Do you catch you on talking about? Ser Justin Massey. I realize that George RR Martin says that there would be no new povs but he said a lot of things that he has and hasn't done so anything's possible. Especially since Spanish since Justin to essos to hire a sell sword company after the iron bank decided to let him into their coffers
@ I do think as long as Victarion is alive and working with Dany, that she won’t trust Euron, I don’t think there’s a person in ASOIAF who hates and distrusts Euron more. Justin Massey definitely could show up in Dany’s story but I think more than likely he’ll show up in Arya’s story and she’ll want to travel back to Westeros if she hears Jon died or that Jeyne is impersonating her.
I think Euron is the Big Bad, the next book will be spent with Sam finding out about Jon's parentage and witnessing how big a threat Euron is. Euron will overpower Leyton Hightower(a magical threat) and kill the Faceless Man who's likely in Old Town to keep Euron from getting what he's after( a means to command the others/destroy the magical barrier at the wall, probably Sam's Horn) along with taking the Mad Maid as a salt wife(she might choose to join him) Before he dies the Faceless man will warn Sam and send him away, telling him to keep a low profile and not tell anyone about the horn. That will lead to Sam briefly pulling a Qyburn and falling in with Aegon and the gold company because of his medical skill, where the Sam/Jorah/Greyscale arch will play out with him and Jon Connington, while he struggles with the knowledge that Jon is ahead of Aegon in LOS.
I totally agree with you on Euron becoming a larger villain; I think once Roose and Ramsay are defeated, Euron will be the central villain, besides the Others, of course. I also think Sam with the Golden Company would be a cool plot to see in TWoW
It would be interesting to hear your takes on potential new povs in twow, or theories about important characters, popular ones I see come up are: -ghost (jon surviving through him) -marwyn -garlan or any tyrell -justin massey -nym sand or a sand snake in general (to replace quentyn) and id personally say meera if bran is no longer a pov (i know grrm said there wont be any new povs but he's said a lot of stuff before lol)
@@D3athL1vin I could definitely do a video on that, I have a lot of options that I don’t think I’ve seen a lot of people bring up. I’m going to get a poll up at some point today, and I can put that as an option if people want to see it.
Interesting video: I’ve predicted that Victarion’s three men blowing the horn will have three effects: (1) binding the Green dragon to the nearest Targaryen-namely Tyrion, (2) biding the White dragon to the second nearest person with Targaryen/Valyrian blood-namely Daario Neharis, (3) summon Drogon back to Meereen leaving Dany temporarily at the mercy of the khals (leading to her being R-worded and treated very badly before Drogon flies back later and rescues her). I’ve written a lot about Daario over the years and I think he’s a semi-immortal being who stays young and alive by killing beautiful women and bathing in their blood. In short, he’s a magical version of Blue Beard! Hence his blue beard and boats about killing someone every day and fondness for beautiful women. More specifically, I’ve argued he is the long-lost son who disappeared of Aemond Targaryen and Alice Rivers. Alice was rumored to stay young throughout her life by bathing in the blood of young women-which ties in perfectly with my existing theories that Daario does the same and that Daario is a Valyrian with blond hair and purple eyes who dies all his blonde hair blue-purple to hide his Valyrian identity and desire to steal a dragon. So my theory is Daario is really the son of a witch and Aemond Targaryen and the white dragon will fly to him and bind with him when Dragonbinder is blown, while the green dragon does the same to Tyrion as the Mad King’s bastard son. This is by the way how we can get to a literal second dance of dragons-having all three dragons ridden by people with their own agendas and irreconcilable value systems (unlike Dany and Jon in the show). Tyron in the books is preoccupied with vengeance and killing Cersei, getting revenge on Littlefinger and the Vale, and getting revenge on King’s Landing for turning against him. Daario like Aemond Targaryen in the original dance of dragons (see how his being Aemond’s son would connect the two dances of dragons!) is out for himself, his own power, making himself a king. He’d likely fly off from Meereen once he has a dragon and start conquering cities and counties and making himself a dragon lord like the Valyrian dragon lords of old. If he is indeed the son of Alice Rivers, he’s likely to fly back to Westeros and make his seat in Harrenhal where he grew up and start conquering the Riverlands and Stormlands. -A Theory of Ice & Fire on quora
@@jclaburn Wow I have never heard that theory about Daario, I do like the parallels between his blue hair disguise and young griffs disguise, but the part I disagree with is Tyron being a Targaryen, it would totally ruin his character, I think the whole point of Tyrion is that he is Twyin’s son, he is the most similar to him yet Twyin hates him because of the death of Joanna. Him not being Twyin’s son would get rid of the whole theme that George loves: the human heart in conflict with itself. But the other parts of the theory are very interesting to me! Thank you for commenting!
@ Well to be more specific I think Tyrion is a merged twin, where Joanna got pregnant with a baby boy by Tywin and a baby boy by Aerys and they fought each other in the womb-a real phenomenon though rare-with the Aerys fetus absorbing the Tywin fetus. So Tyrion is both of their sons and the human heart divided against itself. His green eye is literally Tywin’s DNA and his black/purple eye is Aerys. But in the end he takes more after Aerys and he’s the one I think will burn King’s Landing from dragonback in the books! He is the one character with an established motive for that as he blamed the people for turning against him and essentially swore revenge on them. That’s Aerys Jr. stuff in the story we already have.
@ Thanks for the compliment. As far as I know, the Daario is Bluebeard and the son of Alice Rivers and that he will steal a dragon are all three my original theories! I also think Daario is a parallel to Roose Bolton, only reversed. I agree with the Bolt-On theory that Roose is semi-immortal and steals the skin of his sons and their identities. He’s an icy evil demigod. I think Daario is the fiery mirror to him who sleeps with women and then kills them and bathes in their blood or drinks it as his magical way of staying young. Where Roose is vampiric and whispers and plots Daario is loud and dramatic and bold and fights and dances. It’s a similar evil magic but the icy versus fiery manifestations.
@@craigmills6275 I could definitely see that happening, but I think Moqorro would save Victarion. The Iron Fleet would break apart and leave if Victarion was to die.
to be honest victarion killing his wife for being raped is far worse then jaime killing bran to protect his family ( which he did with disdain and thanks to cersei pushing him along
@@adonaimelles2317 I would say it’s debatable if Victarions wife cheated on him willingly or was forced to. A World of Ice and Fire app says it’s an affair, so it was consensual at least according to semi canon sources, that’s also what Euron says but he isn’t exactly a trustworthy person. Obviously both Victarions and Jaime’s actions were evil, and they both felt remorse about them, that’s really what I was trying to get at; I didn’t really mean to compare them. I just wanted to show that someone who did something bad can redeem themselves in the case of Jaime and we can see George likes the idea of redemption. Also thank you for watching and commenting!

Yes the dusky woman also seems to doesn't like Moquorro and she is most likly an Euron agend.
@readhead7649 oh yeah the dusky woman is totally a puppet for Euron. If he is not directly skin changing her himself, he definitely has some wizard or priests doing it for him.
Drogo took Danny across a sea, Victarion will take Danny across a sea
I guess we'll never know.
We won't.
@@andreww4751 I still have hope (coping), I might make a video on that Hollywood reporter interview and how it was not as bad as people think.
It would be interesting to hear your takes on potential new povs in twow, or theories about important characters, popular ones I see come up are:
-ghost (jon surviving through him)
-marwyn
-garlan or any tyrell
-justin massey
-nym sand or a sand snake in general (to replace quentyn)
and id personally say meera if bran is no longer a pov
(i know grrm said there wont be any new povs but he's said a lot of stuff before lol)
@@D3athL1vin I could definitely do a video on that, I have a lot of options that I don’t think I’ve seen a lot of people bring up. I’m going to get a poll up at some point today, and I can put that as an option if people want to see it.
Vic is such a cool character despite not being all that important as others. His new duel religion of the Drowned and Fire Gods is cool as shit
@@MrFredstt He is one of my favorite characters and his smoking hand definitely ups the cool factor by 10.
I think one of the dragons rips the ship apart when they sound the horn
@@craigmills6275 I could definitely see that happening, but I think Moqorro would save Victarion. The Iron Fleet would break apart and leave if Victarion was to die.
We'll never know.
to be honest victarion killing his wife for being raped is far worse then jaime killing bran to protect his family ( which he did with disdain and thanks to cersei pushing him along

I really like that theory, especially if Euron marries Cersei, as Victarion has even said he wants to take something from Euron that he holds dear.
There is no winds of winter, pal.
